OnTrack Karting Wallingford, CT 3-20-19 League Race 'A' Main ***ON THE COME BACK***

Well this race wasn't what was expected after coming back from being sick, but the race was still exciting as always. So tonight I pretty much got all the karts with new tires and I believe alot of the karts had new tires on them which meant lap times were down but quite even across the board and we all had to really drive the karts to best of our ability. So for the three lap qualifier I qualified 3rd with a 37.739 in the #7 kart and as I said had new tires on it. Now comes the 17 lap position race where at the start I fell back to 4th behind HIXSON and stayed there for most of the race until the second to last turn of the last lap where I went wide to try the undercut and got undercut by another competitor from behind me and ended up finishing 5th...BUMMER...my fastest lap of that race due to being stuck behind HIXSON was 38.252, I believe that's the slowest I've ever run even with a bad kart lol. So finishing 5th in that race and with that being the second qualifier of the night, it put me starting 10th for the feature race. I picked #10 kart which I was happy about until I saw it had new tires also, but I stayed optimistic because I knew the kart was fast. Unfortunately it wasn't as fast as I was hoping with the new tires. Now to add to this I was spun the first lap entering in to the second hairpin which put me in the position of trying to come back through the pack from an already dismal starting position and now I was last about a quarter of a lap down. I got myself together and put myself on a mission to make back those spots and by the end of the race I was able to get back 9th, one spot better than I started....I'll take it for what the night was lol. My fastest lap of the feature race was 37.238, and that actually would have been good enough to run with the front runners, no one hit the 36s' tonight...new tires through out the field slowed everybody down lol! Would you ever consider recording the qualifying race or no?

There have been a few times I've thought about it and some other drivers have asked to also but for our races a lot of times we stay where we qualified from the 3 lap qualifier especially since we stay in the same karts, so in my personal opinion there's nothing to see except us driving around where we started.
