    Casualty meets the Clinic in Wales. Tt was based on a real incident in drug trial in which people did get very ill and some of the subjects later died, it finally got into press after the families blow the whistle and then people told there story to the news media. As the film shows the drug company never admitted responsibility or were prosecuted but they did pay-off a lot of the trail subjects.

      I seen that one. Sadly with so many drug trials there's no recourse on getting further compensation. My husband did a trial for a Crohns disease medicine. He went thru 3 phases of the trials & sadly they stopped them. It was only medication that's put him into remission. And now they have to go thru 3-6 years to get approval for the medication to be disturbed for that purpose. Thats why the vaccine scares so many people because it skipped 4-6 phases of ALL trials. Literally guinea pigs at this point on a mass scale.

      Compare bad cholesterol numbers and etc after switching from pill-headism groceries to naturalists carrying magnifying glass to study how different ingredients make you feel. After only a few months you will barely remember how your old life felt, because you will enjoy breathing and feeling like self-service chores without headaches. You will love giving your mind recesses to take you wherever it wants and pleases. A decent smaller horror/survival thriller, a bit gorey at times... "don't take drugs kids!"
    This a UK film, the US has a very similar film to it called "The Last Experiment or Bloodwork." About the same premise expanded a little more, lots of gore and violence still, has more explict sexuality and a bit of twist ending. The Facility is the lease extreme of the two. So be prepared for the other. I do believe The Facility did more with less.

      @@TheImprovised this movie is supposed to be based off an actual experimental trial that happened in 2006. 6 or 8 men responded to an email saying that if they participate in an experimental drug trial they would get payed for thier trouble. One man was given a placebo while the others got the real drug. The man who received the placebo got to watch the other men die horrible deaths. They had excruciating pain, restlessness, swelling of the face , extremely high temperature, constant vomiting, organ failure, had their fingers amputated because they had died, were put on pain killers but it did little to help the pain, and much much more. The drug was tested on a monkey and had no side effects so they desided to test it on humans. No one was held responsible for what happened cause they were protected by big pharma.

      THIS is why they do multiple animal trials before it gets close to a human, so this DOESNT happen to people. You might get some side effects but RARELY deaths. Deaths were usually due to infection, or comorbidities.

    • @yehmen29
      @yehmen29 Год назад

      @@magdalene74 Unfortunately you can still get severe, unexpected side effects, with drugs that have been successfully tested on animals, and sometimes even on drugs that have been authorised. Labs will also play down side effects in order to get a drug authorised. Non reporting of negative trials also used to be the norm. I used to know psychiatrists who tested drugs on their population of patients (in asylums) or on 'healthy' volunteers. They made a lot of money. For one of them, 1 million euros a year. In comparison, his salary of over 100K€ per year as director of a psychiatric asylum was pocket money. 'Healthy' volunteers can earn up to 1 month's minimum salary for 1 week of trial (the maximum you can earn from drug trials is capped). The reason it's paid so well is that it's dangerous, and volunteers sign NDAs and consent forms, which means they cannot sue if someone goes wrong. They are generally not very bright and desperate for the money. That does not exclude students: some students will turn to prostitution or live in a tent because they cannot pay the bills, and some students will drop out for financial reasons (it happened to me twice). I was offered to participate in a medical trial for neuroleptics when I was 19. I would have been hospitalised for 1 month and would have earned 3 months' minimum salary. I went to my GP to discuss it, she hit the roof. She told me that meds at this dose (the aim of the study was to find out what the maximum dosage was) would 'fry my brain'. So I followed her advice and didn't do the trial. It turned out I was lucky: 2 decades later, I found out I was a slow metaboliser for neuroleptics and the like (anything metabolised by CYP2D6). I would have had severe side effects from the trial and may very well have ended up with tardive dyskinesia. Not worth the money.

      This is based on the elephant man trials. It was a drug trial that went terribly wrong the drug caused patients to become unbearably cold, then came excruciating pain, swelling of the head, hence the name "elephant man", they say they were unrecognizable, the majority of the effects did wear off, after hospitalization for weeks to months, with some lasting effects.

I think he ran out onto the road and flagged down a car or something, because he just didn't want to be there. Maybe I am mixing it up with another news story, but that was a biggie in 2008/2009 or thereabouts, and he was a muslim-name Brit is what I recall as clear as day. This is really scary. I have seen ads for clinical trials of drugs for X amount of money and I thought about it, but then was like nah, I don't want anyone injecting anything in me. Now after watching this? There is NO amount of money that would make me want to do this. This movie was REALLY good! Worth the watch.

      You’re correct. A god doesn’t do bad things but that’s only because that god doesn’t exist. There is zero evidence to prove a god exists.
      If that biblical god did exist then it designed everything on earth. So that means that god deliberately created diseases, natural calamities and every other harmful thing to people. Only a psychopathic monster would do that. And no, free will has nothing to do with anything. The Bible clearly describes that ‘god’ as a serial mass murderer that loves genocide, torture, misogyny, slavery, rape, incest, animal sacrifices, infanticide, human sacrifices and countless more immoral acts. If anyone reads that book and is honest with themselves they would realize that god is just a result of primitive, ignorant, superstitious and barbaric men. And ALL of those primitive goat herders are anonymous. It’s baffling how people in 2024 still believe what Bronze Age goat herders wrote. But those goat herders didn’t even write what’s in the Bible. Almost everything in the Bible are plagiarized stories from hundreds or thousands of years earlier by other civilizations, religions and people. There is nothing new in that immoral Bible.
      How can christians worship a god that thinks it’s ok for fathers to sell their daughters into slavery? How can they worship a god that tells a father to sacrifice his daughter to win a battle? How can they worship a god that issued a law saying if a man rapes a girl that rapist does not get punished. That god punished the girl by forcing her to marry her rapist. What a sick, immoral god! And what about that god issuing a law stating that if a woman doesn’t scream loud enough while being raped then she should be stoned to death? Or how about that god’s law that states if a groom learns his wife is not a virgin on their wedding night the girl must be stoned to death? How would an ignorant, backward man know of a female is a virgin? They can’t tell. They weren’t gynecologists and even so virginity is not visible. In Exodus god ordered his ‘chosen people’ to slaughter entire towns of people but spare little girls so they could be enslaved. Those poor girls were forced to marry the same psychopaths who just sliced their families to pieces. Imagine the horror those girls felt as they watched murderers attacking them and using swords to murder the girl’s parents, siblings, friends and grandparents. But christians NEVER have any empathy or compassion for the countless victims of that psychopathic biblical god. Any believe that strips people of their humanity is the real evil. And Christianity’ entire history is filled with inhuman acts toward others. In the US those ‘christians’ slaughtered 100 million native Americans and enslaved 12.5 million blacks. Christians used that sick Bible to justify enslaving and beating blacks.
      Christians always say the laws that god issued in the Old Testament were made null and void when Jesus appeared. But that’s just a convenient lie to try to cover up the sick acts by that god. If you discount the Old Testament then you have to throw out the creation story, original sin and the Ten Commandments. Christians love to cherry-pick. They use a few things out of the Old Testament and ignore the rest. Jesus said in Matthew that he was here to enforce all the god’s laws. There were 613 laws issued by the biblical god. If anyone adhered to those laws they would be criminals in every country on earth.
      The Bible is the most immoral book ever written. It’s almost funny how christians believe ancient goat herders but have no idea who they are. There are zero original manuscripts. There are zero chains of custody of any of the stories in the Bible. In 2020 republicans tried to overturn the presidential election by falsely claiming ballots lost their chains of custody. Those republican christians wanted to overturn a country’s election for a few ballots that lost their chains of custody but they require NO CHAINS OF CUSTODY for any of the things in the Bible. It’s absolute lunacy. And it’s absolute dishonesty.
