    Quick question, I have a 2013 road glide. I have the MLX 8604 kit installed. Have to set up my odometer asap, but I don’t have a function switch. Perhaps it’s just referring to the trip switch? The 14+ road glides have a function switch on the front side of the bars, however 98-13 do not. I just go to the odometer and hold the trip button to set? I’ll try again in the morning. Just want to make sure I set my odometer before going on my trip

      Yes, the OEM trip switch is used here.

    Does the MLK 2011 allow you to enter your PIN to start your bike like the OEM speedo on a 2022 FLHRXS?

    Hello Tech. I had Dakota Digital on my Harley breakout years ago. It looks cool and I liked it. But now I have Road King special with more information like Tire pressure monitor , Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS) . etc.. Does Dakota Digital will show this info like the stock speedo or not?

      Thanks for the message,

    Hi, this may be a novice question but will the MLX-2011 work with my FXBB (I plan on buying a gauge housing) and if so, do you need the small black trip switch button shown in the video or can you cycle through the menu with the OEM Harley trip switch on the handlebars?
    Thanks

    • @DakotaDigitalTV
      @DakotaDigitalTV  3 года назад

      Thank you for the question,
      The OEM trip switch on the handlebars will take care of all of the setup and controls in this application. Many earlier bikes will utilize the separate pushbutton, which you've mentioned. Thanks for checking with us.

    good afternoon. I bought your mlx 2004 speedometer. The description says that it is possible to display the turn indicators on it, but it is not clear on the wiring diagram how to connect the wires so that the turn indicators work on the MLX-2004. I beg you to help and explain. thanks in advance!

    • @DakotaDigitalTV
      @DakotaDigitalTV  2 года назад

      Thanks for the message Artem,
      The turn signal indicator connection is made automatically, once the unit is plugged in. The stock computer sends this over as data, so there is not a separate connection which needs to be made.

    Hi !
    Is that possible to select color for different RPM ranges ?
    Like :
    0 - 1500 : blue
    1501 - 3000 : green
    3001 - 5000 : orange
    5001 - max : red
    It would definitely look like a NASCAR gauge ... and it is exactly what I'm looking for :-)
    Thank you guys.

      Unfortunately no, that is not an option, but you can choose the tach warning color for your ideal shift point.

    How to change colours on MLX 2011

  • @riggs_219

    Just purchased a mlx 3200! For my 02 1200 custom. Hard wired everything to my main harness and I run a ultiman 2000i Wich had a tachometer wire running from the module. Everything seems to work fine! Haven't rode with it yet tho, will set it to auto mode and ride for a mile. Is there any certain way I have to ride with it in auto mode for the speed calibration?

    • @DakotaDigitalTV
      @DakotaDigitalTV  4 года назад

      Hello! When using the Auto calibration option, the instrument is simply counting the number of pulses from the speed sensor. As such, stop-and-go and bike speed do not matter. The important things to remember are, don't spin or skid the rear tire, don't creep backwards at a stop and ride as straight as possible for that calibration mile!

    I have an 09 road king flhr will this gauge show the miles till empty on my bike like my stock gauge? And if so what model would I need to make sure that I have that feature. Primarily just looking for a gauge that gives me rpm, speed, trip, and miles till empty.

    Dakota Digital contacted me via email and got me on track. I couldn't get the iOS bluetooth app to see the gauges. I had the gauges Bluetooth set to Always ON. When I went to iPhone settings, the Dakota Digital gauges didn't show up with the rest of my Bluetooth connections. The app says, "Scanning" and never finds the gauges. I've done Factory Reset, turned Bluetooth OFF and On on the phone, turned Bluetooth ON and Off on the gauges, and have tried just about every other combination I can think of. No joy.
    If someone could tell me the trick, I'd really appreciate it. (See my reply below for the resolution)

      Hello!
      IOS does not find any device in the Bluetooth menu.
      They do NOT need to pair like a Droid.
      Just turn it on, get our dash into setup and open the DD App. It won't necessarily "look" like they're linked together.

      @@DakotaDigitalTV Thank you and they did and I'm up now. NOTE: When first installing the app, be sure to select Motorcycle. The first one that comes up is AUTO. That's the one I selected. Figured that out later so I installed the MOTORCYCLE app. No joy. It didn't come up with the yes/no to share Bluetooth with the device.
      Deleted the app, turned the phone off, turned the phone back on, downloaded the app fresh install. It works now. I can only surmise that loading the DAkota AUTO first set the phone where it cannot see the Motorcycle device, even if the Auto device app is removed and the Motorcycle app is installed.
      LOVE IT! Excited to show it off this evening at motorcycle skills practice.
