I must tell you I love your videos I have ordered the digital decoder gauges. I have ordered, Custom Dynamic stroll, lights and tour pack. Light watching you I am learning something for a first time motorcycle owner keep the videos coming.
Had my Dakota digital gauges install yesterday by Harley Davison a fortwashington Maryland they are beautiful after I saw them on your bike. I just had to have them keep the videos coming.
Bike is looking good!...I like the look of the digital clusters...don't think I will install though. Sure be nice if they just came that way!...great install...stay safe...ride safe!!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦
LOL it's ironic how you think it's 2022 and that gages are old school but you should know that digital (like the one you installed) is so 1980's retro..lol Ironic. Great job in making this video. Good camera closeups
🛑🛑 I just install a Dakota Digital Gauge Package on my CVO Ultra. The system is awesome!!👍 The systems brings all Information being gathered by your ECM to your Dash Display. You can read Oil Temp and Oil Pressure, Head Temp and Ambient Air Temp, Distance to Fuel Stop, and the Gear Position is Big and Clear (easy to read). 💯 These Gauges makes your bike look more custom, and adds to your ability to understand what you bike is doing at all times. Great Watch and Video👍💯.
Man those are amazing thanks for sharing. Is the mileage correct 21,??? or is that just a base setting for the new gauges? BTW I am dropping my bike off to you after this riding season so you can upgrade it, please? Ride Safe
I have spoke to them many times about this issue They never heard of anything like this happening And think it could be the constant power on the bike side of the wiring But I’ve check that and found that not to be the problem I’ve sent them in to them a year ago They found nothing wrong I think there’s a problem in the main gauge on the constant power side of the gauge That’s all I can come up with I don’t believe it’s in the bike Not sure what to do I was just wondering if anybody else had similar issue Can’t believe I’m the only one that has had this issue
I’d like to see them offer the other two that belong to the street glide offer it for the road glide separate put it in separate housing so can hook up something for oil pressure oil temperature underneath the faring windshield
I put these in my bike Three times Now I got my stock gauges back in It seems like the clock loses power and in turn the clock goes back to 12:00 Check the power on the bike side and everything check out find Not sure what the issue is But I guess I’m going to sell them
When it’s bright out they switch to a high contrast display so they can be seen easily. The satellite gauges on the road glide are almost impossible for me to see while wearing polarized sunglasses but with normal sunglasses I have no issues at all.
In retrospect I kinda wish that I would have done that. I was in to much of a hurry at the time though I guess. I can still take ‘em apart again and spray ‘em easy enough or just order black bezels down the road.
they are great too in the daylight even without contrast mode.. only issue so far is that with polorized sunglasses the satellite gauges are nearly impossible to see.. main gauges are still pretty good for the most part so I think it has to do with the angle.
I added these to my 2018 cvo limeted And all I have are problems with the clock You set it Come back awhile later and the clock is off by hours Anybody else have these issues ??
A. Digital Gauges have been around since 1983 and mostly abandoned by manufacturer's due to short life span's and unpredictable life spans. Mechanical ones almost NEVER fail. Hell even the Corvette did away with LED/LCD Displays due to lag of accuracy, bad overall performance and they just FAIL. I will stick with my own Analogue Gauges thank you. Better save those old ones cause ya gonna be putting them back on or at least give em to the new owner when you sell. Digital Gauges rather suck.
@Tommy Ealey Firstly if you counting on Harbor Freight Electronics made in China, to last and be efficient, you will be sadly disappointed. IF you invest in a "GOOD" "Quality" security system that has more than a 90 day warranty you might actually like it. Third one will likely be just like the rest, cheap crap is cheap crap and there is no getting around that. Hand tools I do buy @ Harbor Freight, because Home Depot, Sears, Lowe's and Ace hardware all sell the same chinese made sheeeeet but everyone outside HF charges 3-5 times the price for the same damn thing and HF guarantees ALL there hand tools for life. Sears sold off Craftsman cause they could not compete.
@Tommy Ealey Yea, maybe, however, in my experiences it boils down to poor quality control and a 90 day warranty they hope will cover the sheet or if the owner doesn't install it immediately they win by selling a broken POS.
Thank you. I still need to mess around with app a bit more and make sure I get things setup just how I want them but I suppose that will just come over time with them.

Do a road test to make sure you can still see them. But from where I sit they look “sick” 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Yep, they look great but have seen other videos that say the sunlight washes out the color and brightness.

I love those gauges
Very nice job and great detail in the video! I love these gauges and recommend them frequently to anyone who wants that extra custom touch.
They really do put it over the top.. I'm really enjoying them.. thank you.
Drew…you are killing it with the bike rebuild. I have really thought about doing this sometime. Thanks for sharing!
It's a fun upgrade, I really love how they look.
Outback makes a group point but they do look incredible!!!! Great job Drew! Your "on camera" patience is admirable!
I appreciate that! Thank you Toby.
Great video thanks
Bike is looking good. I like that diamond stitch seat. Keep up the good work bro.
Thanks man, I am getting really excited about how it's coming along.
Nice one Drew! That's a fairly knarly job, but you made it look pretty easy. 👍
It's not bad at all.. how are you bcr?
Wished we had part of the video with the bike running. Will you be doing a video later on showing the gauges working?
Oh yeah for sure.
Looks good.
Heck yeah, thanks man
@@Touringmidwest you need to do a video of how to remove fairing blindfolded.
@@h3r63rt I probably could, I've had it off sooooo many times lol

I think ill be pretty happy with these, just need the weather to straighten out so I can see how they are on the ride.
great video.. thx dude 🇩🇰
@@crfn1 thanks for stopping by
Those digital gauges really modernize the look…. I’d like to find a new inner fairing design for older RG’s and SG’s
Hell yes! I’m doing this!
It's really good.. I flipping love these gauges.
great vid!! well done

One of my favorite upgrades for sure.
bad ass good job
Thanks man.. I love them!
you doing a amazing job, I prefer this way, it is looking good, but my question , how to do alignment with speedometer , Great job Drew, thanks,
Hey, thank you. Alignment with speedometer? What do you mean?
Nice job. I can see the wires on my bike from the fairing to the guages. No way to hide them?
Not that I know of
i think the new cvo should come with these, that would awesome
That would be pretty slick.

Drop it off and keep the bike parts coming in, I'll have you a new scoot by spring no worries. That's my mileage yee.
Great video. Gauges look great. I want to get a set for my Ultra Limited but they are a little pricy.
They are on the high end, its true but also they are cool for sure.
@@Touringmidwest Definitely worth spending the money on.
I used a fish wire and forgot to remove it. I couple weeks later it rotted and stunk like hell. Nothing worse that rotting fish wire.
🤣
Looks great out of my price range
It's not a cheap upgrade.. it must fall under the treat yourself category lol
i installed them on my RG 10 years ago.

I want these so bad
They are pretty great
Are you going to upgrade your stock radio with maybe the Soundstream Reserve? I have a 2018 RG Ultra and I'm considering it.
I would love to but I don't think it'll be anytime soon.
How are they in broad daylight? Super bright or is there any merit to reports of them being a little dim when it’s bright out?
When it’s bright out they switch to a high contrast display so they can be seen easily. The satellite gauges on the road glide are almost impossible for me to see while wearing polarized sunglasses but with normal sunglasses I have no issues at all.
@@Touringmidwest thx!
Are the bezels plastic if so stuff them up and compare the black

@Tommy Ealey We each have our opinions, rightly, wrongly or misinformedly. Anything that is man made will at some point break, that is a fact.
