I agree. First time I heard this song was with Floor. So amazing and it really touched my soul. I had to look up the version with Tarja, a bit scared though.....but I did not had to be. Both singers are killing it in their own way. Thank you Nightwish ❤

@@zefie14 A few songs are the best with Tarja, exactly for the reason you mentioned. But a lot other songs from "Tarjas era" to me are way better with Floor, because of her range, different styles, storytelling and stagepresence. And Ghost Love Score is one of them! But ofc. each to their own 🤘🙂

I love Nightwish with Floor. I have come to love Nightwish with Anette. But this era of Nightwish was a totally different beast. Really, the pre Century Child songs just have a magical feel that cannot be described by words. I am taken to another place by these songs. You either feel it or you dont.

I see what you mean about the magic. It was the old era. They might just have called it the "golden era". I just listened to Dead Boy's Poem with Floor and it doesn't do the trick for me. She sings a bit out of tune, I can't feel the emotion and the arrangement (probably suggested by Troy) makes it sound like some cheap folky song. It was disappointing 😣

Tuomas is a special guy, I dont like him very much. But he will be recited in the next century and it is well deserved. I am very glad to know NW from 1998 until now.
Another good example for the difference between singing nicely (Tarja) vs filling the songs with life, emotion and passion (Floor). The later one gives so much more.
For me it's the complete opposite. Tarja is all those things for me, life, emotion, passion, hauntingly beautiful. And, Floor sings nicely - but, I do not get the emotions, I do not get the feelings. Though not saying she doesn't do good songs - Shoemaker, as an example, is amazing.
