The Biggest Lion Pride in the Kruger National Park

- This massive Lion Pride at full strength consists of around 30 lions known as the Transport dam Mega pride.
The Transport dam mega pride is currently one of the biggest lion prides in the Kruger National park South Africa. Controlled by their 2 pride males, with one of the Transport dam males being easy to recognise with a big cut in his nose. When both pride males are present the pride there has been reports of over 30 lions at sightings. At this sighting we counted around 20 lions as they crossed infront of our vehicle with the youngest members and 2 pride males not present. The pride covers a big territory with lots of mouths to feed. We saw them on the H1-1 on this occasion north east of Transport dam. They are frequently seen between the H1-1, S65 and H3 and enjoy spending time at Transport dam on the H1-1 and Kwaggaspan on the H3.
The two pride males are spending less time with the mega pride and are more frequently seen with 3 lionesses from the renosterkoppies pride.

Wow lot of awesome Queens, probably 2 to 3 males
She is beautiful to see the Transport Dam pride💞and to know that they are not all there is incredible...it must be something to see them all together. The sub adults are handsome💞it seems to be a pride close to each other, I hope the rest of the pride is well as well as the Transport Dam males💞(which I would have liked to see) and I also hope that they continue to visit this pride from time to time…
Thank you for the video🙂
It's rare to see this mega pride in wildlife. You can imagine how wild beasts thrived in ancient times without human interference.
Yeah, elephants traveled 200 plus a hundred years ago. Good observation.
To think that as late as the 1970s there were 250K lions still living in the wild; numbers that would make any wildlife biologist/lover of nature howl with joy today!!! Current lion population estimates range from 30 000 to as few as 16,000 lions living freely. Horrible 😢
Si il n'y avait pas autant d'être humains ils auraient pas diminuer si vite
Yeah wild dog packs used to be 100 strong
Thats a lot of hungry lions..🦁
How awesome…!!!
Everyone looks so healthy and strong….!!
Lots of mouths to feed but lots of supreme lionesses…!!
I’m sure their hunts go well..!!HOPE THEY ALL STAY TOGETHER AND RULE THE LANDS…!!!🐾🦁🦁🦁🦁🐾
🐾😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻🐾
Amen!!!
wrong the male rules the pride...
@@bobperrone2105 Yeah….!!
You tell your wife that….!!

Such a majestic and beautiful sight to witness. Truly one of the largest prides of African Lions on the Savanah. Incredibly healthy and they must control a decent amount of territory. 💪🏻🙏🏻✨
Wow there’s TONS of them!! And even tho that’s a lot of mouths to feed they still all look very healthy & well fed! The Mayanbula’s almost have 30 strong, they have about 17 cubs, 6 lionesses & 3 males (I might be off but it’s something like that lol) I would love to see more of this pride. They are absolutely breathtaking. Gorgeous!!!! I love them all!!! ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful but need some cubs I saw one similar to this, but they had cubs and 30 all together however great family
@@falanajerido875yes it looks like there’s only sub adults & no cubs. The 2 pride males don’t spend much time with this pride, they’ve been busy with some females in the Renosterkoppies pride. So maybe that’s why there’s no cubs.
@@falanajerido875I wonder why they all ran away at the end? Something definitely disturbed them.
@@Tara_P_Rose Now i want you to look at his other video. 2 males lions, and 10 cubs, and lionesses you will love that one
@@Tara_P_Rose i agree maybe the guy who show this video can explain
All I can say is wow wow wow what a beautiful family of Lions they're so beautiful
Wow...totally stunning!!! That's an army!!!
Just look at all of this lions is this a beautiful sight to see
Beautiful pride of lions!🥰❤❤❤
What a wonderful sight ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁
Thank you for sharing Yvonne Mullion Cornwall England 🏴
That really is the largest pride I’ve ever Sean. 😊😊their numbers make them strong. They must control a huge amount of territory.
Thats cool usually they would breakaway when this large so they must be able to provide enough food for them all to stay at this number super cool to see
WOW!! Stunning video of a powerhouse pride of such so magnificent creatures!!! Bless you all!!! Amazing Lions!!!
Wow, a pride of sub-adults and teenagers 😀❤️❤️😍😍❤️😀
What a great pride..😍🦁
Thanks for posting!! This is a once in a lifetime to see this incredible sighting!!!
Beautiful video lions and park 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Do you know why did the lions running and hiding behind the bushes at the end of the video?
Most likely the truck is making them scared. I’ve seen this several times and I’m figuring poachers
Maybe the King is approaching and he's pissed of no one has made a kill.
@@funguykel no they’d greet him . Listen you can hear a vehicle
I thought maybe an elephant herd? Was coming their way.
Wow!! That must be a sight @ feeding time.
Thanks for sharing
thanks for the update. 👍
What a coalition force too
Beautiful sight thankyou
THANK YOU FOR THIS SUPERB VIDEO!👑 They all look in great health and this siting is most beautiful! WHAT SCARED THEM OFF? I was just enjoying the large count😊 Thank you!🦁
What a beautiful pride sub adult males are gorgeous mayanbula pride is just as big
Fantastic pride. Great seeing the Transport Dam pride. What two males control this pride?? They are stunning males. Does anyone know?? 💜💜🥰🥰
Wow! That's a lot of lions. Weren't you afraid with all of them coming at you? "Yikes let's get out of here".
The lioness dont get alot of credit feeding and protecting all them off springs wow.
100 years ago most lion prides used to look like this .
WOW WHAT A BIG PRIDE NOTHNG BUT POWER AWESOME!!!!!!
Absolutely stunning. I tried to count them but couldn't do it . Does anyone know how many there was !!?
What pride is this?
I counted 13 lionesses
biggest one we've seen was 23 near Malelane some 20 years ago
it is a wonderful sight. a spectacle worth appreciating. It's a pretty big pride. although I see something strange: no cubs! 🤔
Absolutely awesome 👌. ❤
They're beautiful need a king we need some cubs you know they're great hunters
That's more like a herd of lions instead of a pride. I counted around 35 lions and that means there must be 40 plus. Never knew lion prides could outnumbered herds of elephants, cape buffalo, zebras, antelope, dogs and hyenas. Hope they keep an eye on this pride so we can see more of this majestic pride.
Herds of Cape buffalo are massive -- can vary from about 300-400 members, but may contain as many as 2,000 in a mixed herd, & the “Common” eland (a species of antelope) can live in large groups of up to 500. Savannah elephants can sometimes join together & comprise of up to approx. 70 in a herd, but the Forest elephants w-approx. 20.
Great family
I don't think they would have a problem with feeding...👍
Haven’t seen the male yet
Is there a male lion in this pride?
For having to feed so many mouths, it seems that the lioness mothers do it very well. It helps a lot to that pride that there is no lion cub since everyone after the lionesses are already young lions about to enter adulthood.
How can they survive when the dry season is long? If they can communicate in a language that both of them can understand, I would suggest that they join in migrating following mammals, including zebras, forest buffalo/bulls, etc.
Never heard of this pride before!
Transport dam Mega pride
@sanjeev99523 who the king?
@@eleanorferguson9857 don't u know it's me🤣
@@sanjeev99523 I guess I don't
There must be a great source of food in the area. Otherwise, they would probably split into separate prides.
They never miss a meal
I'm surprised not to see any small cubs in such a big pride.
Such a brave camera man
Where are the babies?
So beautiful and majestic. Such a pity their home has been reduced to Piccadilly Circus in order for them to survive.
Family.
I counted up to 13?? That many cats and something spooked them and they took off running away??
What is the reason they fled,am i hearing roars in the background? Please share if you know.Amazing queens and beautiful subadolts sharing love and bonding, tnx for this 🦁🤟.
There is normally too many lionesses born to each mother, I think natural selection make it possible for a lioness to also survive those first few months.
Wonder what scared them to start running?
Wow! Fabulous! Who are they running from? Where are the males? Is it a breakaway from a pride?💥 soooo lovely! These only need careful Buffalo 🐃 hunts😛 impala, topi all deer 🦌 species would be insufficient for those massive numbers. 🦁🦁🦁💥pls keep us updated, thanks 👍🏾
I'm guessing the two who were not spooked to run away were the matriarchs
1800- 1 mil lions
1900 - 500k lions
1970 - 250k
2020- 20k Lions!!!
😢😢😢 Horrible
Humans….mainly the powers that shouldn't be, are evil.
Dejadlos en paz por favor. Dejadlos en paz!!!
Because, 4x4 is coming to check them out... I mean humans... Who love to see.. Those super crazy cool lions... 😎😜💚💙🍀🌳🌱🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🍀🌳
There must be a lot of fighting at meal time.
Especially if they kill a gazelle.
Hyenas will never push these numerous ladies off a kill.
Incredible
Beautiful super pride
nice but put a windshield on your mic!sounds terrible..
I like how the mother and her older son were licking each other so beautiful to see..
The most beautiful felines in the whole world ♥️🙏🏻💚👏

What pride? Is this
What are the names of the 2 pride males ?
I knew before a few years that there's a coalition of 3 males colled the transport dam , are they the same males ?
Its like watching a parade of Elephants only Lions
I saw a lot of males both young and old. If they stick together I see the potential of possibly the biggest Male Coalition in the making here.
❤❤❤
I lost count at 8 not willing to rewind
ما شاءالله ما اجملهم
Figataaaaaa assolutaaaa.
Guau 😮 que belleza 🥰
Other pride or nomad male lions would definitely keep away from this pride.💪👏
Mostly mothers and daughters, with adolescent males soon to be booted out I'd say
I think there were countless mega prides in ancient time.
Who the king
Where were these lions when I was on a 5 day safari in Kruger! I didn’t see a single lion! Tbh my guide was 💩
Where are tiger boyz?
this shows that Lions are more intelligent than tigers
I'd like to know how many lionesses are in the pride, that's the long-term measure of pride size as cubs are born, die or grow up. I saw at least half a dozen, though adolescent females may not be easily distinguished from the adults while the scruffy teenage boys can.
Every Male take 4 female 😅
@@nor-62 maschaAllah

Poor gazelle if they are coming this way
