Their games are just fun to play, I agree a more powerful system would obviously help the games run better but generally the first party stuff does amazing things considering their limitations.
If you don’t like Nintendo stuff that’s fine but they have smashed this generation and they have been consistently delivering great first party games which neither PlayStation or Xbox can say they have done this time
The Metroid Prime trailer was running on original Switch hardware. 720p and 60fps. This was confirmed by John at Digital Foundry and also by Nintendo World Report. People forget how good Retro Studios is and how well they know the engine that has powered every Metroid Prime game. The Switch 2 version will be the same game but with higher resolution and probably some added lighting.

This Direct was pretty great.
This one was great, actually playing as Zelda again (nevermind the CD-i one) Mario and Luigi looks as the perfect holdover for a RPG sequel, Prime finally being a thing... man, just think what they will show off during the official Switch 2 event later
13:15 If they can get something like that Tokyo Philharmonic and whatnot for the music, and add a lot of modern things in it, even voice acting, then 6 should definitely be a HD-2D remake, they can do the 7 treatment for 9
finally Metroid is coming out next year by the look of things which means it could be a launch title for the Swtich 2

I love the Link's Awakening style, perfect match, IMO.
Obviously when they cancelled MP4 & rebooted it, they decided to make it a launch title for the Switch 2.
So I thought this was a pretty good direct. However the 1 thing that Im disappointed in is since Echoes of Wisdom was announced this means most likely we're not getting Twilight Princess or Windwaker on Switch and those are being saved for the switch 2 probably as day 1 console sellers. However it did say late September release which seems a bit early for Christmas seller so maybe we get a November shadow drop of WW/TP for the holidays but I doubt it.

This What Culture Gaming Channel doesn’t curse. It is clearly aimed at a younger audience. So why is there multiple adds on the podcasts promoting gambling. Tony Bet, Boyle Sports, promoting soccer betting, Cheltenham, Royal Ascot. What Culture, What are you playing at?

Does anyone else find it odd that LEGO Horizon is coming to Switch but not PS4? Especially since learning that over half of the playerbase still plays on PS4?
To be fair, the ps5 is past it's half-life, that's more on them at this point
@@Insanemonk11 I would just assume since 50% is still on PS4, and the game runs on lower hardware like the Switch, they would want to maximize profit and put it on PS4 as well.
Sylux has gone missing? Really, he appeared as one of the antagonists in Metroid Prime Hunters, appeared at the end of both Metroid Prime 3, well his spaceship, and in the secret ending of Metroid Prime Federation Force. He didn’t go missing, as he was more of a mysterious character. We know NOTHING about Sylux. All we do know is that he has a grudge against the Galactic Federation Force, and by extension, Samus.

Is no one else tired of this modern forcing of “classic inspired” visuals that just looks like some crappy play dough game made in unreal engine 3. Nintendo or not these graphics look like three console generations ago

Really? I thought Metroid Prime 4 looks like a pretty dated Switch game and I expected more from Retro Studios.
It is. It’s been in development nearly what, 6 years? Looks like the engine they used for the 1-3 remaster they duplicated for 4.
I think it appears to run somewhat more smoothly than MP1 Remastered. See how quick the scan visor and morph ball mode are activated in the trailer.
How did you expect more from the hardware with the weakest power and tech?
@@raidengoodman8754 Well, to look better then a Remaster of a 20 year old game isn't too much to ask. I know, Nintendo can do what they want, and I think it will be a great game... But it looks disappointing.
