I discovered a Kazuya infinite combo right when he came out. At first we thought it worked on a handful of characters. Thanks to Super EpicGuy and Oetam we now know it works on a ton of the characters in the game! Only time will tell if this ends up being tourney viable.

I just *really* want to see someone time someone out with the infinite, that'd be really funny. Also, getting hit by an infinite probably feels way worse than getting hit by a zero to death, no matter how hard it might be

Infinites only feel worse when they are either dragged out to ridiculous percents or if they build damage really slow.

It feels like ever since they were introduced footstools have consistently allowed for some of the cheesiest, most broken techniques in all of Smash...and yet no one ever uses them lol

It's because footstools are actually not that easy to use. This infinite is an exception though. I am talking more about the aerial footstools. When character get in the spinning animation it is a pretty tight window where you have be so close to the spot of her head and just time your jump before right. No one actually talks about that but footstools are not that easy to get (on purpose). Also when you try to do a footstool you are obviously open for any attack so it's also a bit of a risky option if they are not in hitstun already.
Footstools should be removed from the game, or at least togglable on/off.
The cause too much accidents offstage and onstage, plus the phantom footstool has intangibility for no reason.
On stage : player landing on opponent who's shielding, and instead of doing an aerial , they double jump to bait a party or shield drop, and whiff punish with the double jump aerial.
However depending on jump height and timing and height of the opponent, a phantom footstool occurs, which completely ruins this.
Because footstools don't have a dedicated input button, and they put opponents in vulnerability without being assigned to an attack button
the ics mains have been using them since release for busted combos. Yes, they’re broken and yeah, they’re easy
People are too lazy... And nobody seems to wanna step up and win a lot.

Yeah his hand is weird when you do dragon uppercut and his body is twisted 360 when you do roundhouse kick. Use the camera and you'll see what I mean.

When Sakurai said he was "surprisingly weak" in his early build, I wonder if Harada was in the vicinity to see it and asked how they could, you know, just make him better.
I don't think the Lv 9 CPUs are capable of pulling infinites, so however they're testing the character may be limited in the extent of testing for these situations. But 90% of the cast is a lot...
90% is just technically applicable, not necessarily realistically
@@happyducky9872 Yeah, I doubt people are just gonna be able to pick up the exact way to execute on each character individually without extensive labbing, but the devs don't need much reason to patch out infinites.
@@tiffyw92 It's actually just about the exact same inputs on every character, but some of them have a smaller frame window than others, which is what makes it hard

To be fair this seems pretty hard to pull off consistently compared to other 0 to deaths
You can just side-B to down-away to side-b to down-away, etc
That is not even close to being an infinite. Stature Smash is only +12 on hit, and Side B takes 16 frames. I know they let a lot through the cracks, but y'all need to give at least a little credit to the game testers, that would be one of the first things they test to make sure it's not an infinite
I‘ve got some Kazuya tech i thunk might be useful. For basically the entire duration of crouchdash you can cancel it into jump and then the jumpsquat into his specials. Though for some reason he only cancels his jumpsquat with up-b and none of the other specials. I think this can be useful at kill%. You could approach and dodge attacks and then punish yourself. I think the most useful are up and down b and then side b for shmix and neutral b is just kinda useless. You can also wavedash out if it.
Dont know if anyone already noticed this. Heard no one talk about it and im not seeing people online do it.

Actually, if you put the stick to neutral, you can cancel crouch dash into literally any other input, including the start of another crouch dash input. That's how people do really fast crouch dash chains.
Also, the reason that you can only cancel jump squat with up B is because there are a set amount of things jump squat is cancellable into, which are just Up B and Up Smash, and for reasons, Kazuya, and just Kazuya, is able to cancel jump squat into up back tilt and up forward tilt
Wait, I was mixed up, you gotta reset the stick to neutral, initiate a walk, then you can do literally any input from that walk

So, just to check. This works off of grounded footstool, which is a universal out of shield option. So kazuya has an OOS infinite? RIP me (and everyone else)
Yeah it does, but Kazuya's jumpsquat is 7 frames, so it's way slower than anyone else. It's still technically his fastest oos though
I mean, 7 frame jumpsquat plus bad air mobility means this won’t work unless land right on top of him

Was the combo tested with a detethered Luma? Luma dethered has less restrictions on when it can act with an immobilized Rosalina.

Of course for pokemon trainer it dosent work for squirtle and ivysaur but completely fine against charizard. Man smash really needs a new mechanic for anti infinites against superheavies to make it so they recover twice as fast if they get hit by more than 3-4 seperate moves in quick succession so heavies can stop being combo cheesed into the blast zone 24/7.
This one isn't actually a super heavy thing, it straight up doesn't work against Dedede. It's all about how a characters animation is when they gat footstooled, but also Charizard is really easy going back to front because he really sticks his head out with his long neck
@@Super_EpicGuy I'm more so talking about in general, even if this one is purely animation based it still ruins the fun for both the player and the opponent. There are definitely people watching this that are only gonna play kazuya just to practice this all day and abuse it just like luigi's zero to death and it's plain disrespectful. I know asking for balance in a smash game is silly and stupid but man out of every fighting game this one really really REALLY hates all big characters.

I can guaruntee you it does, I've tested this extensively. There's a little known mechanic in this game, some call it Footstool Lockout, where you cannot footstool someone within 16 frames after an attack of yours ends. Go frame by frame, Side B Bayo, and after the Side B animation ends and you're acyionable, wait 8 frames before you jump, then jump, Kazuya will be airborne frame 16 because of his 7 frame jumpsquat, and from there you can wait one more frame to make sure you are close enough to actually footstool Bayonetta on a part of her hurtbox that can be footstooled, and press jump
All they need to do is nerf his jab. Should not get like 30 plus percent off jab
The 10 Hit combo already has a massive SDI multiplier. Just wiggle the stick in the direction away from Kazuya, and you shouldn't be getting hit by even 5 hits of it

Not all infinites are patched. The ICs one GimR previously showed off still isn't patched, and Ness has an infinite, which was extensively tested by Oetam, the other dude shouted out in the video, that hasn't been patched yet either
