"Summer of 69" is one of those great rock songs for eternity - a simple melody, but wonderful harmonies, and the strong bass line tops it. Yes, one cannot sit still when this gets played.

It's not the song that gives you goosebumps and that lump in your throat..... it's the fact that humanity at that concert clapping in unison, setting aside any and all differences, shoulder to shoulder, without the need for any spoken or written instructions, hive minded sacrificed their personal space just to experience not happiness but pure JOY.

I have watched this concert numerous times and it is by far one of the most poignant concert videos I have ever seen. The editing has been able to capture the raw emotions of the audience which in turn brings the lyrics to life. Bryan Adams is certainly one of the greatest singers of our times and this song simply solidifies it.

I saw this live and it's so powerful I can't explain it. I met Bryan backstage running into him between sets and what a guy. He was a super guy who invited me to stay and enjoy. I had to go to my buddy who was drunk but we ended up at a after party. All I can say us Bryan Adam's is one of, if not the best live musician of all time. Signed former DJ

That is why 70's,80's & 90's were the golden time. After R&B music like boy band! Things changed, auto-tune and computer people started becoming self-fish.
Music is a very powerful tool. That music changed and u see the change in people too.

@@the2sisters483 Many of the songs were anti-war songs, Creedence Clearwater Revival had a great one called 'Fortunate Son'. Your generation is very lucky. At the height of the war in Vietnam there were 549,500 soldiers there. I was lucky, my lottery number was 49 but they only drafted to 46!
