Everyone who understands storytelling knows how bad written this show is. Sorry, but the reviews weren’t “pretty mixed”. The vast majority of the fandom hated it, predominantly due to the insane amount of contradictions within each episode, within the season and within Star Wars lore. I pointed out 29 major contradictions in just episode 1. Having essentially 3 filler episodes in a short 8 episode season didn’t help. The fight scene in episode 5, after it was analyzed, was awesome for many reasons…should I say “manny reasons”? 😊 However, one fight scene doesn’t make a good series. The actors for Sol and Qimir carried the show by far. Carrie Ann Moss…for what little she was in the series did great, but for $180 million and two years of production time… This series left too much to be desired, and that showed. I hope there is no season two unless it’s a single episode that is five minutes long and culminates with either Ki-Adi, Mace or Yoda waking up from a dream.

There are people that make ten account to give ten 1/10 reviews but there are no people who do the same with 10/10 scores? And the biggest kicker: companies are on record buying their own shit to boost their numbers. At this point it's standard practice at Disney including payed positive reviews. But all you hear is reviewbombing? Reviewbombing has no effect when the show it mediocre. The positive review bomber cancel out the negative. Hell, when the show is bad they still chancel each other out because the companies just sent their bots. Only if a show is really bad the positive bots can not cancel out the vast majority. I personally don't know a single person who liked the Acolyte. And watching just a bit of it, it's obvious why. There isn't much to like about the show. Bland characters with flipping motivations rush from one plot point to another never even resembling actual human behavior. On top it actively f**** with previous lore and breaks it everytime possible. Acolyte is the closest to the last jedi. If you take this stuff as official canan EP1-6 become nothing special. That's the worst iterations on existing fandoms. Imagine you tell the story of what happened before the lord of the rings but you do it in a way that renders upcoming events smaller than perceived originally. That's the definition of a bad prequel and the funny thing about this, you don't have to imagine. It already exists :D in lotr just like on star wars. You better switch sides. There is no place for tourists and shills in the fandom anymore.
Say what you want about the Acolyte, Say what you want about it ruining Anakin (It did ruin Anakin, there's no debating that), but Qimir taking out the Jedi is *way* better than the Lightsaber duels we got in the sequel trilogy.
I love all of the Star Wars stuff, and some more than others (including George Lucas Films and Disney), and I enjoy them all personally! The Disney + Star Wars shows are better than the movies from Star Wars Disney, in my opinion, but I enjoy all of the Star Wars things because the core elements are there, once again, that's all I care about! Ok.. I know I'm late to the party but can I just say... I LOVED the acolyte, (but I also think phantom menace is the best star wars so the fandoms gonna hate me regardless, shout out to daddy darth maul) Personally think it had some of the best light sabre choreography we've seen, I love how dark it felt compared to what we're used to seeing in other star wars series/films maul) and Mother Aniseya is an absolute BADDY
I was pleased with Ahsoka and The Acolyte! The Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars movie (you can't really compare the originals), in my opinion, but apparently Gorge Lucas was upset about The Acolyte?. I love all of the Disney plus Star Wars shows so far! Andor is my least favorite, and Obi-Wan Kenobi is probably my favorite out of all of the shows so far! The core ideas are there, and that's all that matters to me, personally!
I would be interested to hear some specific points from the commenters here about why exactly the Acolyte was bad. I myself am very confused about the negativity about the show, going in expecting the worst, and then coming out the other end wondering where were the parts that awful enough to condemn the show. I genuinely want to know why people don't like this show.
Coming from an old school Star Wars fan born in the 70's I actually enjoyed this show alot. Its my 3rd favorite Disney series after Mandalorian and Obi Wan. I honestly don't get all the hatred for this show.
List of why people hate it: .Bad acting (most not all) .the amount it contradicts pre existing lore .the pushing of political views through the show .bad writing But at least they fixed the lightsabers I guess

To me the writing or storyline for the Acolyte (overall) was exceptional. Personally I'm glad this series pushes back on traditional Star Wars lore. That's what made it Awesome. Just like real life every thing changes and just when you think you got everything figured out life throws you a huge curve ball making you question everything you ever thought you were certain of in the 1st place.
I genuinely dont understand the hate for this show, sure were there some weird moments (the power of many scene), but it is definitely wayyyy better than the book of boba fett. I am like 90% sure that most people who hate it are right wingers, who cant fathom anyone but a straight white man being on their screens

The kyber crystal bleeding is not how you actually bleed a kyber crystal. In one of the Darth Vader comics, you can see Vader bleeding one by holding the crystal and teaching it his pain and anger. The Acolyte is a horrible show compared to the rest of Star Wars.

The algorithm will recommend/show you content you don't like as well as content you do.
