Some of the X men movies you should probably skip, but you definitely need to watch First Class and Days of Future Past at the least

I hated this movie when it came out. I really didn't like the killing off of characters (deaths as well as taking powers away), plus like you said in thr reaction they introduced characters like Angel without really doing much with them. The rest of the movie wasn't nearly as memorable or thought provoking as the first two films and it felt so much more rushed and sloppy. I admittedly had high standards from the first two, but the loss of the director of the first two films really hurt. When he did come back for later X Men movies they got good again.
