It's so preposterous that Nia is only ever the lead when Abby does ethnic/racial dances.
Carlieta Queen it is upsetting that Nia only gets those parts but it would be inappropriate for anyone but Nia to get these certain parts.
Well that's a given, but she is never chosen as the lead for any other part. That's what is preposterous. She is more than just her ethnicity, but Abby doesn't see that.
But abbey did say that she would only ever send Nia to some auditions becase of her ethnic background and I am happy that Holy and Nia embrace there ethic background
Because whether we like it or not Nia had the worst technique
Victoria Jackson, Kendall and Mackenzie had some poor technique as well but they somehow managed to end up front & center several times in group dances. Nia is also a much better dancer in real life than portrayed on the show. And it's funny how Abby was able to excuse her technique when she needed her to play a stereotypical part. If she can excuse it then, she should have been able to excuse it for other roles. But go on and continue to gaslight.
I truly think that Nia deserves an award. She is the only O.G. who has stayed from season 1 Episode 1 up until the last episode , but I think that Nia is very underrated because she usually only got duets or trios, but usually she was just lifting Mackenzie in the duets, and the solos seemed like they didn’t have as much time and work put into them as the others did.
Kelsey Parker not to mention Nia was the only one to never leave the team at all. Kalani left twice and came back, Kendall left early on and came back, Brynn left right at the end, Chloe left and came back, now Camryn didn't leave, but she was on the team for such a short time and with Abby for less than a year so I don't really count her

Kelsey Parker yea, but she was also the worst dancer on the team and had a lack of technique so... 🤦🏽♀️
@@quaabae6634 I'm sad to admitt that because I loved nia. She worst the worst dancer because she was the only one Abby never put any attention on. If she had gotten more solos and more challenging pieces she would have improved and we would without abby challenging her she never got better unlike the other girls.
Sadly she was always the one abby never cared about even though Holly wasn't like the other mums she was respectful, so I think it partially came down to racism on abbys part.
I love how nia was the lead but she was in the back
Featured role is a bit different from lead, but yeah, she deserved more recognition in every dance, but she was always stuck in the back.
I guessed it kind of signified white supremacy so I thought her being in the back was more so to do with the storyline

Her costume is different from the other girls to make her stand out and she was the last girl on stage
i think it was just for the theme of the piece. the civil rights movement was a tough movement for African Americans and for the subgroup, they were always pushed in the background of things. that's probably why, but the dance was beautiful
After they performed you can hear Christi scream “Go Nia!”

It's all about competing with any parent to get their kid to be versatile and be the best out of everyone else's kids and be the shining kid for Abby to uphold.

It's because it's showing the rights and how nia is black so she had no rights to be in the front
Also Lifetime cut out a lot of the dance where Nia was actually in the front+performing special parts; she had a different costume than everybody else, featured choreography, was last one on stage etc

@@cayleesmith956 but I'm the dance black and blue Maddie danced in the front and got all the recognition. So I think that Nia should have danced in the front center as well.

I wish Abby just once could have said that "Nia did a good job/great job." I hate hearing her say,the dance was not perfect but it was about something important and all eyes were on Nia. Just give the girl her dang kudos.

@@Sarawarawara- Nia didn't have many because the times she did her technique was bad. She didn't apply a single one of the corrections she was given. Paige was similar and she changed a routine and performed a different routine on stage than what she was given. I would never give her a solo for that
Abby: Mackenzie, you’re not in the group this is a very mature piece.
Also Abby: allows Mackenzie to be in dances about child abduction x2, car crashes, child abuse, homelessness x2....

I just think its so wholesome everytime abby finally gives nia a hug when she wins. And that cute little run she did over to abby for that hug. I had the same reaction as holly. Just happiness all over
Nia was amazing and beautiful, but I find it weird that the only way Abby gives her leads is if the piece is dealing with the Civil Rights Movement. Or portraying a famous African American woman. But I really love Nia and I really wished Abby gave her more opportunities.

Because Mackenzie is younger. She normally dances with the mini team. So it is expected that some of the junior stuff would be too mature or advanced for her. But Maddie is a junior so it's more of a suprise if she's excluded

Plus you had a clear view she was still in the middle even if she wasn’t in the front
Being in front does not equal lead. Nia had different blocking than the other girls and she did look like the lead... It's true that maddie is often at the front but from a choreographer standpoint the focus was still on Nia. Even when they are not the lead the stronger dancers need to b at the front so that's why🤷🏻 Nia was amazing tho ☺
