"Dance Moms" follows Abby Lee Miller and the nation's favorite tween dancers as they take on Hollywood while new auditions, new competitions, and new studios raise the stakes.
The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if anything, Abby has proven she is a fighter and is not ready to hang up the dance shoes. The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Abby is ready to get back to her life and do what she loves most…teaching students to dance! With the goal of putting her life, health and dance studio back together, Abby returns to where it all began - the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh.

You can’t blame Kendall for not being able to catch the scarf, it’s so thin that it’s naturally gonna float in a different direction, it doesn’t weigh enough to come back directly down to her
Elliana danced with a rope and without her arms, jojo danced without her arms and in a bubble, Brooke had to dance with a mic and so did Kenzie, Maddie had to dance with an axe. And there’s probably more that I forget. None of them had a problem with their props.
Also, Kendall is the only « OG » besides the Ziegler that has never had a bad choreo solo or bad costume. Abby always gives her good dances with pretty costume.
My point is that Jill and the fans need to stop finding her excuses for loosing or dropping her props. It’s on her everytime she looses or drops her prop cause there’s no other excuses.

I’d actually say Kendall was at an advantage. She had a lot of practice with props already since a lot of her solos had them. Also, props look better on stage and make the choreography more intricate, therefore adding choreography points.
Although Maddie was good at dark solos, she rarely got them. I can name only two “dark” solos she got before this dance. It would be harder for Maddie to pull it off because she rarely got dark solos - most of her solos were either happy or sad. Dark solos were something that Abby would normally give Chloe. I feel like this was a challenge for Maddie, but she rose to the occasion and nailed it.

Well she kept giving Maddie turns and she got better. Maddie used to travel a lot and her turns would sometimes be inconsistent but from season 3 and on they were clearly better. You only get better with experience.

Maddie was amazing but Abby never gave her numbers that showcased that she just gave her tired lyrical
Someone just needed to sew a little bead or something at one of the ends of Kendall's scarf. It would have given it more control and she probably would have caught it.
It is a good idea but aside from the fact the scarf was in Kendall’s hair, that weight would need to have been so sewn into the fabric really well because if it came off, it would be a hazard if the bead /button were to come off, land on the stage and cause injury to Kendall or another dancer on stage. If you watched season 3 of Dance academy and saw the scene where Tara slipped on a stray bead from a dancer’s costume, that is what I mean.
@@moonwalkerangel7008 it could have been anything. When she has it on her head it's tighten. When you have a scarf that light, it would never fall correctly. That is why just something to give a frag of weight at one end. Would have given her a bit more control. Kendall isn't 5. It wouldn't have been a hazard at all. That's very extreme. The kids younger than that set fire on the stage.. come on now.
@@adelescotianyumz4437 When I meant by hazard is posing a risk. If it was a bead and it wasn’t sewn correctly, it could have rolled on stage and caused injury to another dancer or Kendall.

Honestly, I feel like this was a rather fair competition.
Both girls had competitive choreography and a strong storyline behind their dance. Maddie’s costume was more intricate and added to the story, while Kendall’s prop was daring and added to the story.
Both girls performed beautifully, the score really could’ve gone either way. I feel bad for Kendall for accidentally messing up on stage. She executed the trick well in rehearsal but got a bit nervous on stage - which is completely fine, nobody’s perfect. I’m happy that Kendall recovered well from it and kept going strong. And this solo of Maddie’s was by far one of my favorites. Beautiful choreography, song, and costume, much improved technique, and brilliant storytelling. Well done to both girls 👏🏼
Completely agree. Honestly, this was probably one of the most equal choreographies ever seen on the show. Both were advanced and told a story.

She has had some amazing solos with props. Not just another pretty face and just an illusion both had props. And those were undoubtedly two of Kendall’s best solos.

She had quite a few in the past. Abby gave it to her and she did well in rehearsals so Abby assumed that she’d do it well in the competition as well.

While I get what you’re saying, Kendall did it just fine in rehearsals.
Also, apparently for the real competition, she didn’t actually have to throw it. She performed this solo at a meet and greet where instead of throwing it, she dropped it and picked it up later.
I think that the throwing thing was put in just for drama.
I get your opinion but honestly I didn’t feel like choreography was as good as maddies nor did I feel like she was challenged in this dance she still did good but the difficulty was much harder than Kendall’s
Tbh the reason Maddie doesn’t get props is because Maddie’s dancing speaks for itself. Kendall needs props because she has flaws in her technique and props help distract from flaws like her feet or knees or the fact that her facials aren’t the best.

No I think Kendall used her face so much more than in other seasons n other dances , yea maddie is phenomenal at using her face that’s one of her many talents meanwhile Kendall does struggle quite a bit but she has improved ALOT and uses her face lots more now which is very good , respect ur opinion tho

if i’m honest, kendall did incredible with her solo. i’ve worked with a prop very similar to hers and it’s really hard to control the way it moves. i’m not surprised she wasn’t able to catch it because i wasn’t able to catch mine once before.
Kendall’s solos weren’t always the guaranteed winners but she got some really cool ones ! Abby took more risks with Kendall’s, they are really creative.
ah I think because Kendall didn't have to win to suit the storyline of the show, she could have more fin with her dances. Whereas Maddie, Kenzie, Chloe and Kalani had to win most of the time, so they had to do low risk warhorse type dances.

there's no logical reason for abby to be mad at kendall. she got second yea but she came second to maddie. abby always sets maddie up to win against everyone else so really if maddie wasn't competing, kendall would've won.
Actually she came in third. Maddie and Kalani both preformed perfect score dances at this competition, so they gave Maddie first place because she was younger and Kalani second, but that couldn't be aired because it was insane they both got perfect scores. Kalani's dance was called Fragile Forest, if you want to look it up. Kinda wish they gave the scores for this comp so we could see what Kendall got.
I feel as if Kendall did catch the scarf she still would have lost cause her face was not really good and maddie had portrayed her fac3 really well

I am very happy at the fact that I can truly say that Maddie and Kendall both had a fair shot at competing against each other with these solos. For both of them and for both solos, the music, costumes, choreography, and meaning or story was very powerful and beautiful. 💖

Dancing with fabric is so difficult. You never know what will happen, Kendall did her best with it. She looked so good. Maddie also did very well and both girls are amazing dancers and do their craft so well.

Honestly, if Maddie did Kendall's solo, it would have been so much better. I don't wanna be mean, but Kendall really had NO facials, she just look either blank or concentrated. Which is why that slight creepy aspect of the dance didn't really come across. Maddie would have nailed that (ofc is also her forté, but still)

Maddie sickles a lot. Kendall getting second is a big red flag that there's just not a lot of competition at the comps they go to. That's how they're rigged. Not the placements, but by seeking out comps that no one good goes to, I've been saying it this whole time.

Abby never wants any other kid to have a good number except Maddie but as we all can see that they are all amazing dancers. As Abby said herself that Kendall isn't very well with most props considering this is a thin piece of cloth she wanted Kendall to throw it in the air because its not going to fall back for Kendall to catch it at the right timing. She also knows that Maddie is very good at dark dances so she gave that solo especially for her so obviously she would win with that solo because she uses a lot of characteristics where as kendall does turns and spins and uses less. If u were to ask any of them they would say that Maddie's solo was the hardeat because it was designed to be the best . But although Kendall didn't win she was great both girls handled their technique , legs , face very well. But tbh i would say even if Kendall caught the cloth and nailed the routine Maddie still would have won , this was unfair treatment to Kendall. But Abby clearly stated this was going to be a big win for Maddie so at that point we knew Maddie would have won. But all in all the girls did great with the dances they were given

No, it’s mostly just like, when you’re in a competition and it’s the end of the awards you really gotta pray for you to win something, as a dancer myself, I haven’t won that many rewards because I’m obviously not as good as most dancers in the world but when it comes to the end you just gotta hope so hard and think/wish that you’re gonna win because if you don’t people are gonna be disappointed in you and I’d rather not think of the bad things, I normally just think of the good side at the awards section. I’m sure Maddie didn’t mean to look smug, she probably was just hoping to win

Abby knew what she was doing when she gave Kendall the prop. She knows that Kendall isn’t good them yet she still gave her one to try and ensure another Maddie win. Also, dancing with such a light prop is hard. Abby tried to make it seem simple by just standing and tossing the scarf in the air, while actually dancing, it’s hard to catch a prop that doesn’t go straight up and down especially if you jump in the opposite direction that the prop is going.

I fell bad for mellisa like she looks like she is done with the moms and for once I agree with her, like give the poor mother a break. She doesn't desighn the solos or picks maddie to be the favorite Abby does so give mellisa a break, and start talking to Abby plus maddie works hard and her teqniqe is amazing if kendall or chole or anyone was as good as maddie they would have been the fav, but I do agree there is a little bit of favourtisme included too tho.

I love Maddie's solo but I wish it had slightly different dynamics (and, well, song but copyright ig..) like in some moments I wished Maddie sort of slowed the movement and finished it more you know, wait a little bit here, stretch the movement more there etc... and I wish maddie had shown a bit more of the character through her face as well. Abby always praises her that she uses her face but it seems to me often that she has only two facial expressions - hurt and happy. I wish we could've seen more of the character because the idea of a tree coming to life is very interesting. This is by no means critique of Maddie, I believe she would've nailed it, but I think Abby was actually keeping her within her comfort zone and it made the beautiful choreography a little boring. Overall its a beautiful solo but out of these two Kendalls solo is actually better I think because it was more interesting and dynamic
