    autoresolve being so strong combined with the passive AI leads to the weird thing where you are encouraged to fight manually more in the early game and almost not at all during the late game, which imo should be the other way around, I want to have a reason to try out my big cool armies with cool units and i dont want to constantly fight similar battles with my 5 spearmen and 8 archers until turn 15

      I think there's a middle ground. I enjoy the early battles, so long as they are competitive.
      I think the most grindy part is when the battle has no real consequence but you're playing it to avoid being wrecked. Currently, the AR can outperform the player, which is where I say it's too far. Like you said, you're discouraged from fighting big battles because the autoresolve does it better.

      ​@@ElvenPlotArmourI remember the fight that I couldn't win in any shape or form on manual fight when I played throth the unclean against dyrachya but I did win in auto resolve I tried 5 times but fear and discourage made my army literally useless . Also difficulty modifier also discourage my units (I played on legendary) .

    You should always take out Kugath (as much as it pains me as a Nurgle lover) because Dragon Isles is just an insane province; put four Factories there because each port (and it had three) will multiply the Armament/Gold output. You pretty much won’t ever need any other Factory built anywhere else lol.

      This is a really great point. The idea to press north is to ensure the safety the other Dawi Zharr against Grimgor but you're right on point for the Dragon Isles and if you were to do a TITW campaign I would beeline for that province!

    Another great video matey i had been struggling with the Chorfs and this is exactly what i needed to see. Twas a shame about that Ambush at the beginning but what can you do, Skaven gunna skaven.

    I’ve always done something similar to this just by intuition. Imrik is your biggest threat because of his fire resist. As long as you snipe the dragon the rest of his army is pretty easy to handle

    I ended up doing almost the same, but I took out Karak Asul to the west because of the Iron resource, I also got declared war on by Greasus, and I conqured Zarduk as it doesn't seem like they can be confederated.
    Didn't do most of the more fancy things you were doing, but I also weren't playing on Legendary, so it worked out.

    Hello. Thks for the nice run. I like indeed the pace of it and the good Economy. When trying it myself, i cannot auto to take the skaven on turn 5-7. I only hav pyrhic victories and loose quite a bit of troups. At what difficulty are you playing?

      This is on legendary/VH. If you need to manually fight, see the formations video, but essentially castle hard against a stone wall and use your buff warriors to hold them back. Blunderbus can dissolve enemy characters, so target them to help break the army! Carefully place your bombardments in the late stages to maximise blob damage

    Thoughts on getting a bunch of early sneaky gits ( and less archers ) to budget deal with Imrik ?
    EDIT : Also shouldn’t we be camping the path around black fortress for Caravans ( at least for the turns we know they will show up ) ? Would your strategy change by a lot if we incorporated caravan sniping into the early turns ?

      Very strong! Best way to utilise them is to run them with your second lord and charge into the rear of their formation. Once you stop them firing, the HE are done.

    Good vid, but I wonder hw you get from near 0 gold on T10 after recruiting the Taurus to 4000 start of T11 with only +1000/turn ?? Gold from demolished capitol buildings ?
    Also on T12 before attacking the Caravan get +1 lord (just for the turn) to increase your loot ^^

      Hey I had an issue with my recording and the game crashed mid take so the order was a bit mixed up when resuming the turn, so that's why it seems a bit choppy, it all adds up in the end. Regarding the Caravan, you're right on point there! Missed opportunity! :)

    Really weirdly, my PC can autoresolve the fights, but on my laptop all my units die by turn 8 in autoresolve

    actully best choas dwarf lord is manfredd von carstein he holds grudges he uses dark powers and he has sigmar slaves for the factorys

    Why no lordspam? Chorfs have no supply lines, and a group of 4 lords is pretty much the strongest 'army' you could possibly have for 1k upkeep. Especially once they gain some levels and items. And later the per-lord bombardment ability from conclave.

      That is true, you can multiply your captives as well. These videos take ages to put together so I tend to keep to rounded strategies that won't get patched out. I'm still unsure why they pay no supply lines or if it's intentional lol

    Hm, why nobody in these guides rush hobbo building with labourers on the first turn to get the Gordaz one turn earlier? I think many people may underestimate rushing buildings with labourers, but I consider it one of the core strategies to really get the most of chorfs. If done properly, it alone can make this 20 turn start a real firecracker. Also, caravan farming in Black Fortress is pretty crucial, do not worry about anyone but Zhao, nobody else will ever pose significant threat, you quickly upgrade your outposts with all that gold, use labourer to make it even faster, which give you a ton materials, which let you upgrade your towers and just snowball like it's nobody's business. I can't stress enough how important using labourers to rush AND get that conclave influence every turn possible.
    Decent campaign start, but far from perfect. ;)

      I do love how dynamic the CD are. Regarding Gordaz, labourers dont' contribute towards the 8 units needed. It's alright, I assumed regular goblins would work too... very race specific ;)
      In terms of not rushing out with several weak armies, it's more of creating a sustainable start that can't backfire with too many aggressive fronts. While labourers can be good support, I've found on the harder difficulties the benefit is in levelling up hobgoblins and other longer term prospects. Either method can work though. In terms of Caravan raiding, I decided against incorporating it into the run since 1 patch could change the routes or timings and then I'm now playing with thousands more gold than the viewer - I prefer to remove opportunities such as these for that reason. On that point, you can absolutely raise another lord filled with labourers to aid with this and go beyond this guide :)
      I'd much rather have viewers going beyond rather than being stumped into bankruptcy by following my guide. Anyway, thanks for sharing, always good to see how another player does it!

      @@ElvenPlotArmouri think u slightly misunderstood him. The way i understood it, is that you can rush Hobgoblin Military Building in the first settlement u take to be recruiting hobgoblins on turn 1. That way you can get Gordoz even faster and level him up faster to get to those juicy upgrades of his!

    The idea of video is good, but dude you haven’t spoken even a word about caravans passing through your Black fortress at turns 5, 6, 7. You need to have a lord at Black fortress to get those free money. Every experienced Drazoath player knows it 🤦🏻‍♂️

      Even better, you want 3-4 lords there, to maximize profits. Depending if you can use the settlement garrison, which you can't always do. Also, iirc, you can get caravan in BF region as soon as turn 4 if lucky.

Always glad to see alternatives put forward though!

      This is another great way to pile up the labourers. I feel this is going to be addressed in upcoming patches so I thought I'd omit it as an opportunity until such a time.
      This is one race that can get very dull very quick when you pull all the stops out, particularly without any climate restriction.

      ​​@@ElvenPlotArmour I understand that you want the guide to stay relevant as long as possible, but the caravan raiding has been already nerfed. And yeah, I guess it could stand one more nerf, it is overpowered as heck. :D
      One of the things I like most on chorfs is really high skill ceiling. You can play them like a potato and still do really well, but once you start using everything you can fill the tower seats, confederate all and basically finish the campaign by turn 40-50... Then it is just a matter of painting the rest of the map.
