Yours is the first chicken tractor plan with a well thought out lid to open. I'm going to use your plan with the 3xception of I only want it to be about 8 Ft. wide so I can fit it inside a garage or out building in the winter. This will keep it out of the heavy snow of winter.

I used a 1x6 across and used pipe straps to connect the 2 in to it

Hi, Steve: Did you have to drill pilot holes into the PVC? Also-- I'm assuming I'll want to use either galvanized or stainless steel screws?
Did not drill and I used galv screws and washers

They roost on the 2x4s up off the ground and the nesting box
Blue glue doesn't use primer.
Didn't use blue glue the blue or purple was the primer

Main frame is 3 in lid is 2 in
