it is hard to believe that this city Sarajevo were besieged from 5 April 1992 to 29 February 1996 by the former Yugoslav Peoples army it is estimated that A total of 13,952 people were killed during the siege, including 5,434 civilians Many of those buildings we see here now in flightsimulator were bombed and then rebuild after the war.

This is Guerry from the States, and I thank-you so very much Jonathan for sharing this photogrammetry flight with us over Sarajevo. Given I have viewed many of your videos and witnessed your well-honed flying skills, I would feel most confident flying with you, even if you lost a wing on takeoff or after nosing over on a stop (JUST JOKING). I truly like the new MSFS update. Because I like flying in and out of unimproved runways, I think that campsite is a very nice touch. Please do note; I enjoy your videos not only because they are fun to view, but also because you teach me a lot.
As a side note and being one who enjoys learning from other cultures, I enjoy hearing the various metaphors you use in the UK and how they align with those we have in the US. You used the metaphor, “whistle stop”. We have a similar but old term from the 1800’s when steam locomotives were used called, “jerk water town”. The trains only stopped at a location in order to refill their water supply (the engineer jerked the filling spout over from its stored position) and for no other reason. There was only a water tank and no station for handling passengers and cargo.
Again sir, thank-you for your video. I’m guessing with you creating your late night videos, you must really go through a lot of coffee makers.

I was in Sarajevo just couple of days ago and my hotel was located next to the airport. I could even see it with their scenery update, it's incredible what they've done to that beautiful and historical city in the game. Makes you, as you said, really wonder where things are going to head in the future, with AI capabilities. Can't wait for anything that ASOBO and MSFS is going to publish. Looks STUNNING!
Btw. your approach was appropriate. It looked very much like a Sarajevo Approach, which is a very tough landing procedure. If you don't know what it is, look it up :) Very interesting. And it's even funnier that you did something similar in .. well.. Sarajevo :D

Impressive graphics, if you have the card to reproduce it! But a thing about the Maule is very good engine sound but it lags windnoice, something they have done very well in the FBW A320 and others, but clearly not in this one. It matter to the sense of immersion!

The Zenith CH701 would have been a better choice of aircraft, better takeoff, better visibility and its naughty ability to auto taxi......................................

Great Video! You should definitely check out new reworked Rijeka Airport in Croatia (LDRI). The scenery is just stunning and the airport looks great and its location is kind of uniqe. I've been flying the bae146 a lot, practicing go arounds and the ils approach on Rijeka which is kind of tricky for me as a beginner whereas its surrounded by some steep hills.

Its crazy the light standards actually look like light standards around the pitches and athletic fields.

Lovely demonstration of when head tracking IS really good :) But that landing ... not sure what the space shuttle touchdown rates were like but they descended at around 10,000 fpm so 'space shuttle approach' sounds about right 🙂 Never saw a shuttle do that after landing though, that was more of an in-orbit trick :)

Hahaha - to be honest, I think some reading of the Maule POH might be in order (after pulling bits of aluminum out of the runway).

I tried the Zenith CH701 from the same location and didn't use more than one third of the available space,Finding that location wasn't too hard but it does look like a postage stamp on the approach........................................................

I saw the drone camera view and thought to myself “that isn’t *that* short of a takeoff run.” Then I remembered I’d been flying the Double Ender a lot lately which has certainly skewed my notions of reasonable room to take off. For a normal aircraft that *is* that short of a takeoff run. Good thing the sim decided to be forgiving because that scenery is gorgeous. I’d checked out Prague and Split, but hadn’t looked at Sarajevo yet. I’ll have to give it a try.

@@jasonlescalleet5611 Some great inspiration there Jason, lately I've been concentrating on the PMDG 737 as I really wanted to give a large commercial aircraft a go, I've grasped that fairly well now so I'm back attracted to GA aircraft and flying simple VFR rules both enjoyable for very different reasons so I'm definitely going to give this area mentioned a real look over. The visuals on a decent PC with this sim are now out of this world compared to my early days of solo flight etc. Stunning and so enjoyable.
