As a Bears fan it was pretty disappointing, but neither team was anywhere close to going some place that year, so it wasn’t that bad of a loss. I remember that week before the game on Christmas that my uncle, who’s a Packers fan, said that it would be a game that both teams wanted to lose.
That last play was so perfect. 5 wide, notice 3 D-Linemen in the game, start the audible, notice 3 other defenders are confused and attempting to reposition….while also paying zero attention to Rodgers and his awareness of the situation, hurried up to the line to snap it before they see him calling the play, easy sneak TD. Dude has quick legs, cannon arm, pinpoint accuracy, elite decision making, and to top it all off even has exceptional awareness of the rules, where people are at on the field, and where their minds are focused as well
Watching young Rodgers makes me so happy and sad at the same time… Terrible front office wasted those years. Without a doubt the Packers should’ve won at-least back to back Super Bowls.
You’re absolutely right. I don’t agree with everything Rodgers has done over the years, but there’s no argument that he almost singlehandedly carried the franchise for too many seasons. Especially during the McCarthy years where it was (almost) literally “run on the first two downs right up the middle, then pray that Rodgers can bail us out on 3rd.” Quick edit: I only meant my disagreement comment about off the field stuff. I think Rodgers is the most talented quarterback to ever have played the game so far.
Nobody will ever realize how fucking amazing that 2014 team was. That team wouldve beaten the Patriots in the super bowl: they'd already beaten them that regular season.
Yeah they did thee same thing with Favre. They should have won a few Super Bowls with him and rodgers. This is the one bad thing of not having an owner the front office can be terrible at times and they stick with bad coaches for too long. McCarthy should have been fired way before he was and Sherman was complete shit and should never have been a GM and head coach Sherman should’ve been gone after 2 years.
I am disabled with chronic pain that you cannot believe. This pass to Cobb to beat the bears made me forget my pain for perhaps 30 seconds. I will forever be thankful.
Years the Packers should had won the super bowls 2011, 2014 and 2020. Rodgers and the other packers should had at least 3-4 super bowl rings. I hated the Front office and coaching back then and its sad that its still true to this day even with all the changes to personal. Not so much the current coaches but definitely the front office.
Watching that Steelers game and then watching these videos made me understand why Rodgers pushed to get Cobb back.. I may not have agreed at first but….
You know in hindsight, with the defense they had in that wild card game against the cards, they probably should've just gone for two. I'd rather leave it in Rodgers' hand for a play than a coin toss to decide the game. Maybe that's just me
You hear so much about Rodger's greatness being helped by Nelson and Adams, not to mention Starks and Jones, all of which is true. But without Cobb he wouldn't have had the regular season or even post season success he's had. Cobb was/is an X factor receiver that is always near the top of my book of receivers

Man I wish we still had Davante Adams and then had prime Jordy Nelson, Packers passing game would be nuts, especially if you consider Allen Lazard as well. Dream team
I still think the best win was when they played Chicago and Rodgers got hurt, he came back and led them back from behind. It's the post game interview with Rodgers that gets me everytime because it was definitely obvious he was on some good meds 🤣

This is why the 4th Quarter Comeback and Game Winning Drive stats just don't tell the whole story. Even the 4th Quarter Comeback stat only counts if your team wins the game. Rodgers has had so many games where he led a game tying or go ahead drive and then his defense failed him in regulation or OT.
