Can we have another video on the same topic please. It has been a year now and we are very interested to see how much we have developed or any new application which got added to the list
I just flashed ubuntu on my old samsung s7 and just trying it first day. I like it but it really has some gaps when it comes to UX. Just like you said. There is no way to close all apps with one button. Lack of animations, widgets, too many steps in simple user flows. Would be great to see update on UX in the future. Other than that ot looks quite promising, will be playing with it further more :)
I am using Sailfish and Ubuntu Touch. I think Sailfish is more polished but a bit slower(maybe due to the encryption). I hope Ubuntu touch can keep going and has its own user base. So far, the android app is less intuitive as Sailfish, and much less native apps.
Whatsapp is not available for it. You could make jt run with the Android Runtime that they are working on. I am not sure if it is available in the newer default images however
These are baby steps for linux on mobile. I would have liked someone other then ubuntu to be the main frontier on that but someone is doing it and i am not complaining. I am waiting for a future where i can run all my dayly drives off linux.
This is no longer being developed by Canonical (those who develop Ubuntu) but UBports foundation, Canonical stopped working on this years back now it is a community project.
Hello, I'm seeking advice on a new phone. What phones out there are under £300 and have: 21:9 recording capability 4K @30 (or more) Decent battery Decent camera software I currently have a Motorola One Action and it's pretty good, I'm wondering whether there's anything better. I also use the Zhiyun Smooth Q gimbal. Thanks.
A bit over £300 the new Nokia X20 might be interesting as it allows 21:9 recording. Though its specs are a bit low. Maybe the Xperia 10 II though its getting a successor so better wait for it. Of course if you can forgo the 21:9 recording you can grab a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro or Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro which are for the price unbeatable. If you can get a Poco F3 for cheap then get that.
@@lltechview The Poco F3 seems to be an import-only model - costs over £360 for a brand new one on eBay! (the gimbal supports phones up to 6") If the phone is bigger than 6" then the gimbal can't make a full rotation, but I can make it work. But, thanks for the advice anyway - I'll wait for the Xperia successor to come out (hopefully at an affordable price too). Have a great weekend.
@@lltechview I found another 21:9 alternative - the Realme 8 Pro and it's only about £220 and I have seen some of the footage on RUclips and it's very stable for a phone by itself. What do you think?

This phone can actually do much more than I expected or need. I'm buying one very soon.

@@randomrandom316 Thanks for the grate news stranger!
wouldn't it be possible to install telegram-desktop client on this phone?
In theory. I did not find a guide on how to do so.
Everything runs so slow... Even the settings take 3 seconds to open up
Yeah its a bit annoying. A better hardware would make the software run a lot better.
That's what I want... a slowww dumb phone
Can one install Ubuntu touch on any phone
No. Only a few specific ones
Why on earth do you have Fantozzi as a RUclips suggestion :))???
No clue. What is that?

Is it possible to install Ubuntu touch on POCO M3?
I don't see a port for this
Keep an eye on - devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ . Whenever it gets a decent port it will be included on that list.
There is a port, just intalled it today on my Xiaomi Poco M3 running well.
@@rafawesoowski4983 incompatible with novatek ic touch screens though
tried the port once on my poco m3 - no touch working because of me having tianma screen with novatek ic
Have you heard of CalyxOS or iodéOS?
No. What are those?

Will whatsapp run in Ubuntu touch??
Not by default. There is Android App support planned it should run with this. But check the Ubuntu Touch website to see how far this is progressed

What do you think?
Yeah the Realme 8 is playing in the same league like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10
Are you from Polish?
My ancestors come from Poland. I was born there aswell. I can understand a bit but not really talk polish.
My xiaomi redmi note 8 received 5 updates and is buggy this Ubuntu has bug friend
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is not yet officially supported by Ubuntu Touch I think:
devices.ubuntu-touch.io/
So unofficial ports might be unstable indeed.
Link download bro,,?
