  • One of the most important pieces of your final-expense planning will concern funding options. Whether you plan to be buried, cremated, or donated to science, a critical question is: How will you cover your end-of-life expenses?
Two popular options are life-insurance policies and prepaid funeral plans.
(To make matters more confusing, sometimes either option can be referred to as "burial insurance.")
In this video, I survey the two options and present pros and cons for both.

Excellent tips! So glad father and family were in PERFECT agreement, and things were handled (by and large) better than originally planned. 🏇

I bought a prepaid funeral. I have no idea what my beneficiary will do with my money. You're gonna need a burial plot and burial expense too. That's another 8K on top of the funeral.

This video is full of misinformation. As a funeral director and preplanning counselor my best advice is to know exactly what you are paying for and understand what you are signing. My biggest hang up on life insurance is that if you should have to use state paid medicaid to pay for home care or nursing home care then the state (Texas anyway) will make you cash that policy out if it has a large cash value.

Thank you for your observations. I'm returning to school for nine-month Funeral Director Assistant program. Please identify the specifics and what portion of the video your concern(s) be found in. Blessings. ✍🙏👏
