I love how everyone is saying that they mispronounced ''Hippocrates''. I'm french and we pronounce it ''Ee-pow-krat''
What I mean is that the name was probably pronounced entirely differently by the ancients Greeks, and neither of the English or the French or the Italian or German pronunciation is accurate nowadays

I've realised that beauty trends are always an achievable and have been for so many years even way back in our past and to achieve them we end up killing ourselves very very slowly or maybe much quicker however we decide to reach the beauty standard of our time period and that's why I love the movement of just loving your body loving who you are and loving yourself I know it can be very difficult because we are not the same as anyone else in our life may not be as pretty as a model or anything like that our bodies are beautiful and it gets us through each and every day that we are blessed to live through or survive through I just hope each and every person that they love themselves and respect everyone else

Lol, they were a warrior culture, so the only equality they received depended on if they had children or not. A women's duty in Sparta was to bear children and the mans was to kill enemy soldiers. The body count you racked up from both of these activities in that culture determined your success in society. Dying in either of these activities was the only way to get a proper burial, so if you consider that equality then I guess

If you were to die today, are you a 100% sure you will go to heaven?
If no, here is what the bible says,
      (1) Romans 3:23 KJV [23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Q1. Do you know what Sin is?
Sin is anything bad that we have done.
      Q2. Have you sinned before?
      Yes or No?
      (2) Revelation 21:8 KJV [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Because they have sinned, and God does not allow Sin into Heaven, the punishment is burning hell.
What is the way to reconcile our peace and relationship with God?
Q3. Do you know the Story of Jesus?
      (3) Romans 5:8 KJV [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Jesus = God who lived up in Heaven, but he came down on earth and became a man like us, he lived for 33.5 years without committing any sin. Then there were certain people who were jealous and therefore framed him on phony charges, and crucified him. Then he was buried and resurrected on the third day; Now he lives in HEAVEN.
Q4. Do you know why Jesus went through all this bloody mess for us?
A4. As mentioned, our sin is the reason why we can’t go to heaven, and the only thing that can wash away our sin is the Blood of Jesus.
      (4) Romans 5:9 KJV [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
According to the bible, the only way for us to reconcile with God is through Christ Jesus’s blood, and not through any works that we do or merits we accumulate, such as water baptism, attending church, or any good thing that we do. The following verses clearly support this.
      (5) Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
      (6) 2 Corinthians 7:10 KJV [10] For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
In order to get saved, repentance of one’s sin is needed to get saved, we need to be sorry, and repent, with conviction, that we are a wretched sinner.
      (7) Romans 10:9 KJV [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
If you truly do believe in everything you have heard in the gospel, ,I strongly suggest you to make a proclamation to GOD! You can say it to God in less than 15 seconds !Repeat after this simple prayer, to make sure you truly get saved. Remember repeating this prayer doesn't save you, it's you telling God you BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. Ok, here is the prayer :
      ‘Dear GOD,
I know I am a sinner, as I repent, I put my faith, that Jesus is GOD, and that he died, buried and resurrected, so that his blood, can wash away my Sins. I put my faith in that alone to save me, not my good works. In Jesus’s holy name, I pray. Amen!
‘Congratulations ! Now you are a child of God. Download /Buy a KJV bible (I highly suggest getting a hard copy bible , as one day, it will be illegal to buy, own or even have an online version of the bible) and search for youtube channels like Truthunedited, REAL Bible Believers , The Bible Project, AoC Network, Robert Clancy, Spencer Smith to help you grow , study dispensationalism to understand the bible (I recommend the dispensationalism video from Genesis to Revelations by Dr. Gene Kim, ruclips.net/video/GI4CteEFxOk/видео.html) , join a bible believing church. God bless you brother/ sister ☺. See you in heaven one day!

My favorite ancient cosmetic is pure distilled rosewater (organic, of course, who wants pesticides on their face?). It’s a great, non-greasy, lightweight moisturizer that women have been using for millennia. Fortunately, it’s much more affordable these days than it was on the ancient world, when it was quite an expensive luxury. Lactic-acid based moisturizers work well, too, this is the active ingredient in milk-based cosmetics.

🇬🇷The name given in Western languages to the most strictly peninsular part of the current Balkan Peninsula derives from the denomination of Graeci, under which the Romans (like the Italics in general) knew its inhabitants in historical times. The origin of this ethnic group is not entirely sure, some connecting it, on the basis of a passage of Aristotle that reflects ancient etymologies, with the supposed Γραικοί inhabitants in the surroundings of Dodona in Epirus, others with the inhabitants of Γραῖα, name of two towns , in Boeotia and Euboea. Entirely distinct is the name of Hellas (‛Ελλάς, ethnic" Ελληνες) with which the ancient Greeks called their homeland, and which, at first specific to a small region of Thessaly, then extended in degrees, some of which can be found ( Hellas and Argos, in the Odyssey), to the whole peninsula inhabited in ancient times by the Greeks. The two names Hellas and Greece thus coexisted throughout ancient times, one in indigenous usage, the other in Latin, except the official name of Greece when it became a Roman province, which was Achaea. Then the second was maintained geographically and culturally throughout the Western Middle Ages, and is still in force today in the languages that drew it from Latin (Grèce, Griechenland, Greece). darkened and decayed with the extinction of ancient civilization, replaced in places by Romania, which reflects the Roman imperial continuity in the Byzantine denominations; the name of Ρωμαῖοι in Byzantium itself, Rūm in the Muslim Near East, united the Byzantines all , and the inhabitants of the land that once belonged to the Hellenes. The ancient glorious name rose again with the rise to freedom and state unity of the neo-Greek nation, which as a symbol of alleged traditional and ethnic continuity took the official name of ‛Ελλάς and the ethnic name of" Ελληνες; renewing, with a geographically expanded content after the Balkan wars and ethnically very complex and modified for centuries, the ancient indigenous denominations.

Why in every culture is white skin beauty

    • @VoyagerD
      @VoyagerD 2 года назад +2

In European and Asian cultures, white skin showed that someone was wealthy enough to not work outside. It just so happens that Europe and Asia conquered the most land, spreading these ideals to many cultures.

    “Unattainable beauty expectations”….
Let’s be honest, they’re not unattainable, or expectations. Some of you girls need to be honest with yourself and realize you’re never going to be a ten, or even a six
Also to be fair, you can’t really say that’s your real face if you’re taping down skin, and slathering on make up like texturing sheet rock. Ugly or hot I love you girls😘

Beauty is as subjective as art. What one may consider a "ten" in one society can easily wind up being a "4" in another one across the world.

Why are you just singling out women? Most men aren’t much higher than a 4 either, just being honest.

@@ok-ih5nv True! Absolutely…But! Ain’t that many men so insecure enough to even try hiding that fact, and the ones that do use makeup (unless they on tv) probably don’t identify as men, lmao! 🎤💧
