You overlooked the singlemost important cultural fact about Ancient Greece, women were fully sequestered and had no legal rights. The higher the social status, the greater the isolation of women from the community, this was a society completely dominated by free male citizens. This single fact affected every female, every family, and every community in Ancient Greece. Please don’t forget about us women, we make up half the people in the world!

This was not true in Sparti and all Doric areas where women were at least equal to men. But even in the other areas women behind house walls really decided what their husbands would talk in the Agora...😊

A pool in the middle of the internal yard? No mister...In Greece water was always scare. The family altar ,yes. Even today, in a central spot of the house stand the pictures of the family saints and an oil lamp usually lit on Sundays

Thank GOD the Ancient Greek and Roman Eras are over. These were Savage and Brutal Cultures to say the Least. People Fantisize over these people, but you better be glad You didn't live during those times. 'All That Glitters Is Not Gold"!!
