How about a video attaching to metal studs?

So long as the staples do not miss the timber and are applied correctly (straight and all the way in), there is no need to tape over them; the Intello membrane will maintain a seal around the staple penetrations. Care should be taken not to over tension the membrane to avoid tearing or elongation of the staple holes.
Does this vapour barrier go over insulation boards or do the boards go over the barrier? I'm trying to D.I.Y insulation as retrofit and want to know how to use the sheets. Thanks

Is excessive overlap an issue? My builder overlapped seams by 1.5 to 2 feet. Should I cut back the excess or is it safe to tape as it is?
Hi @godsbluehills, no the excessive overlap is not an issue. You don't need to cut back the excess unless it causes a problem for taping.
I am insulating my suspended timber floor. Some guides recommend Pro Clima DA and others the Intello Plus, seen here, for use as a "Vapor Control Membrane". Why would you choose one over the other to do the same task?
Either may be used, but Pro Clima DA has a much higher resistance to "scuffing" and damage if it's walked upon, hence the recommendation for DA in such cases.
is it better to start from floor or from ceiling for blown in insulation. My idea is better from top as in video. Cause if started from floor then overlap will form like a "pocket " where insulation can put pressure on tape?
On a standard 2.4m wall panel, the insulation is blown-in through a hole 150mm from the top using gravity to assist. When Intello Plus is used with blown-in material, cross battens (max 50cm apart) must be fixed over the membrane to support the weight of the insulation. The battens prevent forces on the staples damaging the membrane and causing air leaks. Please see our Intello Plus installation guide on our website for more details.
Hi! I was wondering about all the staples that have not been covered with tape. Don't their holes add up over the entire wall/building making allowing the vapour to pass? I would appreciate it if you could try to explain why they are not a problem. I haven't really found a satisfactory explanation yet.
When installed correctly (following the Intello Plus installation guide fully), the staples do not cause any significant risk of air leakage. The staples, when applied, push through the airtight membrane making a small hole that is plugged by the staple itself; like pushing a needle through a sheet of rubber. So long as both legs of the staple go into smooth timber correctly, and the membrane is tensioned and supported correctly so it can't move during the lifetime of the building, it will remain airtight.
The staple must be fully inserted into the timber with the correct force so it is flat on the surface and tightly gripping the Intello. Too much force (where staples are too deep in the timber) can cut the membrane and cause leakage.
When the membrane is installed INCORRECTLY, too much tension or "pull" can occur on the staples, causing the staple holes to elongate and cause air leakage. Always follow the installation guide completely to avoid such issues.
