I think many people misunderstood interstellar. It's about the gravity not time. Gravity bends time. It's NOT a movie about time travel at all. Time dilation NOT time travel

For example, time runs relatively slowly on moon compared to time on earth. That's what Interstellar shows and because nobody knows what's inside the most gravitationally dense black holes, they imagined a place where different points time can be accessed simultaneously. Interstellar is all about gravity. Only the part where the hero goes inside blackhole is fiction, rest is very much accurate as per science.
