We have 5 people ranging in size from 5'8" to 6'2". Let's see how they fit on 4 different dirt bikes: Kawasaki KLX140G, Honda CRF230F, Yamaha YZ125 and Kawasaki KX250F.

Hello! I’m 5,6 and about 130 pounds and I want to get a yz125 and I’m not new to dirt bikes and already have a fairly good amount of riding experience and I was just wondering could I fit on one with both feet touching or at least with one foot because I would be fine with only having one foot on the ground because I rode some bigger dirt bikes in the past with only one foot touching the ground and on your one video about the yz125 I think you said you should be at least 5,5 so I was just wondering for sure if I could fit pretty good and also fit comfortably on a bike like that
I’m 5 feet 11 169 pounds. No riding experience. I want a dual sport bike. Is a DRZ 450 too much for me to start on? If so what do you recommend? KLR650, etc?
Hi, I want to start riding dirtbikes/pitbikes I am 15 years old, 180cm tall and I weigh around 65kg what would be the ideal first bike for me I'm trying to do Enduro/street riding kinda. I've never ridden a bike before
I’m 5’7” and as bad as I want to, I don’t see myself having fun on the YZ 125 unless I’m on track. I guess that’s why trail bikes have lower seats just like a mountain bike, do you want to have full extension and you want to have ground clearance. We also want to have a power, I just wish they made them short YZ 125 or a short YZ 250.
Buy an older KX100 if you want a motocross bike or a KLX140G if you want a trail bike. Unfortunately, everything is expensive right now...even the old ones.
Very depressing. I've always dreamed of owning a large-displacement dirt bike, yet I am only 5' 8" and am unwilling to give up the comfort of being able to easily reach the ground.
A KX100 would be a great bike for you! But, yeah, if you want to be competitive in racing, you have to live with the discomfort of being on your tip toes on the larger bikes. Also, you might consider using a lowering link and custom seating to drop the bigger bikes 1-2 inches.
@@gohobby9934’m 14 and 5’2 and I ride a cr125 the original seat height on it was 39 inches but I got an adjustable lowering link and now it’s 37 inches. Much more comfortable because I can keep one foot almost flat on the ground to keep myself stable

Will you be growing more? If so, go with the 125 and maybe lower the seat by shaving it 1/2 inch and put a lowering link in it until you are more comfortable riding it. At 5'7", you will have to lean the bike to one side and keep it up on 1 foot, unless you have long legs for your height.

@@dual_brothers9579 a bw will only increase the hight by like 1 or 2in max. You will be touching flat foot. But it’s all up to your experience and how comfortable you feel.
If you want a motocross bike, get either a KX85 or KX100 or the new KX112. These will both be crazy fast for your size. If you want a trail bike, get a KLX140L. All of these will be a perfect size for you.
85 is too small for you. At 5'10", you need a full size dirt bike: YZ125, or any 250 four stroke bike. Anything smaller and you won't be able to work the shifter properly, while wearing motocross boots. Your legs will be folded up too much on the smaller framed bikes. Go fullsize dude. Yes, but if you have 160 years of riding experience, you could probably ride the bike while standing on your head. Lol! Most motocross bikes have a seat height between 37 and 39 inches, similar to the KX250 shown in the video. The YZ in the video is a little lower than other YZ's.

Hello, I am about 5 ft 3 in and 120 lbs. I have a couple years of dirt biking experience on a 4 stroke. Looking into getting a 125cc 2 stroke bike. Would you say that would be too physically big for me?
Yes, you would not be able to reach the ground. Why not go with a KX85 or KX100? Both of these would be balls out fast for someone your height and weight.
You will not be able to reach the ground with both feet. You will have to lean the bike over to one side and one foot it. But, if you're still growing, and using the bike for motocross where you won't really be stopping and going all the time (like you would trail riding), you can probably pull it off. There are pros who are 5'7" but, again, they are pros.
If looking at a trail bike, a KLX140G (same as KLX140RF) would be a good fit. You could also probably do a Honda CRF230. A KLX230 or newere CRF250F is going to be tall and you will have to hold it up on your tippy toes or with just one foot leaned to the side. For motocross bikes, a KX100 would be the perfect height, but its suspension is setup for riders who are usually under 125 pounds so you would need to redo the suspension. A full size motocross bike like a YZ125 or 250cc 4 stroke is going to have a high seat height of like 37-38 inches, and it will be quite hard to reach the ground. However, I have seen 5'6" riders ride full size motocross bikes. Just not sure how frustrating it would be out on a trail where a lot of stopping is needed.
I did nothing to the bike to lower the seat height. My guess is that it sits lower than when it was new simply because its now almost 20 years old and the springs have lost some of their bounce. Either that, or the factory measures it differently. I measure from the lowest spot on top of the seat to the ground.
In my opinion, get the bike that best fits you. If you don't feel comfortable with something, then don't get it. I see so many new riders get hurt because of this. Without said, if you're an experienced rider, this won't be much of an issue.
All the bikes in this vid will be too big for you. You probably want to be looking at a CRF125F or a KLX140R. If you want to go with a motocross bike, maybe a kX85 but you won't be able to reach the ground.
Ok so I’m 15 weighing around near 145 but I have scoliosis so I’m sorta short I’m 5,4 but I have so much experience riding bikes my last bike was a 2021 Yamaha ttr 125LE but it was lowered a good amount and I could just barley reach the ground more than my tip toes touched the ground but I want a yz250 or any 250 that way I can grow into and keep it but not sure if I’ll fit it been looking at a lot but I don’t want a bike I can’t fit
So hopefully you can help with that maybe I’m not sure I’ve rode for over 6 years I’ve been wanting a 250 but don’t want a bike I can’t even touch the ground I appreciate if you would have any tips maybe lowering the bike I’m not sure ,Thanks
Unless you have really long legs, you will not be able to reach the ground on a 250, even if you put a lowering link, shave the seat, and lift the front forks. You might want to look into something like a KX100 or the newer KX112. It would be easier to stiffen up the suspension on this, than it would be to try to lower a 250 4 inches. Unfortunately, the dirt bike manufacturers don't offer many good solutions for older riders who are under 5'6".
@@gohobby9934 Ok so I found a bike it’s a 2015 Dr200 it’s 31.9in seat height I’m kinda lost since I haven’t rode a bike is seat height from the seat down to the ground? I don’t wanna have a big bike it’s Friday now and I’m supposed to go get it tomorrow I’m pretty sure seat height is seat down to the ground i honestly have no clue let me know thanks!
1.) It could be because you have rather long legs for someone who is 5'6" or 2.) Your bike has an excessive amount of sag or 3.) You bike has worn out springs or 4.) You weigh 400 pounds. The seat height on a YZ is about 37-38 inches and will sag down maybe an inch when set properly. I'm 5'11 and 3/4". The measurement from my crotch to the ground is 34 inches, so when I sit on my YZ (36") seat height, it sags about an inch and I'm basically flat footed.

@@prisom3705 the yz125 has a really tall seat height but I’m 5 foot 6 and getting a yz85lw, but you could adjust the yz125 for your height
@Go Hobby! im 4'11😂 which one will fit me best the 85? im such a minion 😫
Im 5’5 growing pretty fast, im 15 and on a kx112. I WANT MORE POWER. If i grow up to 5’7 would i be able to fit on a crf250r
I’m 6,5 without riding boots. And weight 180, what size bike should I get…
Any full size bike, 250cc or 450cc.
Hey question I’m 5’6 150-160 is a 125 - 150 in a sense the best bike for my size??
@@gohobby9934 any recommendations as far as just street legal motorcycles or enduros??
How did you lower the seat height on the yz 125?
I did nothing to the bike to lower the seat height. My guess is that it sits lower than when it was new simply because its now almost 20 years old and the springs have lost some of their bounce. Either that, or the factory measures it differently. I measure from the lowest spot on top of the seat to the ground.
@@gohobby9934 ok thank you! Gonna go check out an 02 yamah yz125 later on
I'm 6 foot 75kg what do you suggest for size
At 6 feet, you can ride any of these bikes. I do. You'll be fine on any full size dirt bike so long as you get a bike powered for your skill level.
hi I'm 5'7 with about a year of riding experience on a 125cc pit bike with small wheels. what do you reccomend, and how much are they?
Go with a KX85 or KX100 if you want a fast motocross bike or go with a KLX140RF (same as KLX140G) if you want a trail bike.
What do you suggest for a guy who's 5'5 180 pounds?
If you're a beginner, go with a KLX140L (Same as KLX140RL). Or go with a KX100 but rebuild the suspension to go with your weight.
@@gohobby9934 thanks. I'm not a beginner but I haven't had a powerful bike. I've had a Chinese 250
im 15 and 5'9 and i dont know what bike to choose in the vid can you pls help me out ( i have 0 years of experience)
You should try one of these: Honda CRF230F, Kawasaki KLX140G or KLX140RF, or Yamaha TTR230.
@@gohobby9934 thank you so much for replying , thank you, thank you ,thank you
In my opinion, get the bike that best fits you. If you don't feel comfortable with something, then don't get it. I see so many new riders get hurt because of this. Without said, if you're an experienced rider, this won't be much of an issue.
bro i am 5'8" at 14 but my dad says i can do 250 do you agree?
You can adapt allbikes to all size riders
5'5 13 so still growing looking for yz125? would this be ok
You won't be able to reach the ground yet. Sorry. A KX100 or KX112 would be perfect for you for now. They are super fast too.

You would touch one foot and the other one will be on the peg, so you will be ok.
Yes.
bro at first i thought its organic Chemistry Tutor Speaking😅
Bruh I’m 13 and I’m 4’7 what size should I get
All the bikes in this vid will be too big for you. You probably want to be looking at a CRF125F or a KLX140R. If you want to go with a motocross bike, maybe a kX85 but you won't be able to reach the ground.
I’m 5’5 and 50 kg and I’m getting a 250 it will be sketchy but fun
You won't be able to reach the ground, but that only matters when you stop.
@@gohobby9934 Yea that Kinda sucks a 85 would be fine shouldn’t it? They have just as much power then most I’ve looked at some 100s
Ill look into to that for sure my legs aren’t long waist down probably near 3ft I’d say right at 3ft yea
Just get a lowering link
this doesn’t make sence i’m 5’6 and my feet both touch the ground on a 125
1.) It could be because you have rather long legs for someone who is 5'6" or 2.) Your bike has an excessive amount of sag or 3.) You bike has worn out springs or 4.) You weigh 400 pounds.
I am 64 foot tall and my one of my family members selling his Yamaha raptor for a Yz125 dirt bike this will be my first time being on one
You should have not problem reaching the ground.
@@gohobby9934 That’s good
Just gotta consider when you get into a rut… No pun intended.. you’re gonna spill a lot more on a taller bike.
I ride a wr250 at 5’5
Cool bike, but unless the bike been converted to supermoto, or the suspension changed, your feet will be dangling in the air.
im 5,8 and ride a 450
I AM 5'!!! I CAN NOT USE THIS VIDEO!!! IT IS NO HELP!!!
Get taller chigga that's a you problem
