Princess Diana danced with John travolta in that beautiful dress! She blushed so much and was absolutely breathtaking
Karen, I so look forward to your videos. Your self talk just cracks me up. Love your sense of humor. You put out a lot of joy on top of your buying, reselling and organizational skills. Thank you.😊
That is the gown that she wore when she danced at the ball with John Travolta for the first time, a collectors dream to have that doll of Princess Diana. Her memories will live forever at extraordinary woman did extraordinary things.
Princess Di wore that dress right after the divorce to one of the first formal events she attended. She looked particularly vivacious, and the press called that her revenge dress.
As always, I am in awe of the energy and enthusiasm both of you have. Keeping up with eBay and youtube and a new marriage is too much- now you're adding an antique booth and hosting Christmas Day. Bless you both.
Such fun growing your businesses together. All kinds of changes in your lives.
Congratulations on the booth. And having a cabinet maker as a husband, will make fixing it up fun😊 Looking forward to going on the journey with you two. You are definitely an inspiration.
A shipping clerk is a fabulous idea. They could work for both you and Roger. Your time is better spent shopping.
Yes but we would need to hire someone in the family since our businesses are in our home and… they all have full time careers
@@lavenderclotheslineIf I lived near you, I'd work for you and Roger.
@@heiditate6989 me too
@@heiditate6989that's sweet 😊
Hello glad to see you have a spot . Hope you find beautiful things to fill it with .
Congratulations on getting the antique booth. I'm excited to see it come to life!
You're gonna need a bigger vehicle for all of these bigger purchases. But just think about how happy you're gonna be at the thrift stores when you can finally fill a cart with all of these giant things that you keep finding. It's almost like it was meant to be.
I know!!🎉😂
Take a black light to the velvet painting as sometimes they glow. Is the clarinet made of wood? If made of wood that is an old clarinet. Good luck with your booth! Coors needed to be refrigerated as it was unpasteurized in the 70's and it was to costly to ship to the east for a while. We used to bring Coors back to the Midwest from AZ for family.
The orange "box" was a kitchen timer. Always fun shopping with you and Roger
Great video, as always, Karen. And gush all you want about Roger! Seeing you guys together warms my heart & gives me hope.
Congratulations on your decision to open your booth. All the best with your new endeavors🙏👍. Great finds once again, loved the motorsport leather gloves. Greetings from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦.
Oh you gush away! It’s a joy to hear! Happiness is catching!
Hubby and I spent two weeks in PA this summer just to antique in all the great malls and thrift shops. We loved the Old Factory Mall and purchased several items there. The restaurant across the street was good also! Looking forward to seeing you develop your booth! Nina from Michigan
I love your selection of art and hard goods. I'm also glad you sold that spectacular painting. Thank you for sharing your reselling journey. I love this RUclips channel.
Congratulations on acquiring your new booth...I'm sure it will come together beautifully. XO
I bought an antique gold clarinet to make into a lamp myself. Thanks for showing that. ❤
Congrats on the booth space! I recently took on a booth space for the first time, a shelving unit at the top of well-lit stairs. I was surprised at how many items it took to fill up the space!
You’ll be in my backyard! So excited for you! Looking forward to shopping this most prosperous booth!
Can't wait to see you work your magic on the booth. Good luck!🎉
Good luck with your Antique booth . The town beside mine took a old manufacturing plant that had closed down and turned it into a huge Antique Mall ! I was so excited because they are saving another building. They have saved some cotton mills that are in communities around me too by turning them into condos and apartments. Its sad enough to lose all the plants and jobs that were generations long to overseas but to see the buildings saved makes my heart so happy.
Love your videos!
Re the desert scene: I believe 'canvas on wood' means canvas adhered to a wooden board. This is a stretched canvas.
Congratulations on your SPACE. The “tape measure” was an egg timer or cooking timer
The dolls are Anna and Cristof from Frozen. My Granddaughter's absolute FAVORITE!
Don't worry about gushing over Roger, i think its awesome. Boy you sure work hard. I have 100 donated items for my cat rescues Christmas fundraiser auction, and just those 100 were a lot of work.
Round Orange items (after the swan jam jar), with numbers, look to be kitchen timers. Rotate the top and they tick off the countdown time.
The Grand Canyon painting would be just gorgeous in your dining room. With all of the real art you find, you could have it all through your house.
Karen sold that painting for $400 on Marketplace 😉
She thought about keeping it, I believe, but she made a good profit on it!
The Diana Midnight Blue velvet Dress. She wore it when she danced with John Travolta. Put that in your listing.
I wonder if those orange “things” that you thought were tape measures were timers?
Yes they were!
Sweet video Karen. Congratulations to you and Roger on your first business venture together,"The Booth". I love this for you 2...God bless you both.
I love that saying, don't despise small beginnings. It applied to something in my life so I took it as a good sign! 😊
Oh my goodness. I loved shopping there when I lived in Lancaster Pa. So happy to see it’s still there
love that elfen santa with the pointy ears...LOL. what about the braided belts?
Good luck with your booth looking forward to seeing the progress
I have booths in our local vintage mall and love doing it. I hope there is an elevator….. third floor.. also good AC or it will be hot in the summer. Best wishes on your new adventure!
Congratulations on the booth! Such a fun venture for the two of you to grow together.
That Diana dress was from a visit to the White House. There is a famous photo of that exact pose.
Thank you sweet Karen for this great video👍❤
I love the word schmutz. One word sums it all up 😉
Great content. Congrats on the antique mall booth. You both will do great!
I love the tile art
Your tree is so pretty, i love it! 🎄
I have an old (not worth much) clarinet that I got specifically to make a lamp. I have a saxophone also. I love making things into lamps! ❤ The base definitely is a challenge. I bought some "junk" lamps with weighted bottoms to "steal" those for the bases.
Your living room is so cozy! “Cuddle weather” pillow!! Love the hair pin leg tables. Great flip!
Great news you two. I know you are so excited. I'm excited for you. Can't wait to see what you guys do with the booth. ❤
I am so excited for you with your booth! Congrats!
Congrats on the booth! Excited for your new venture with Roger!🥰
I love the princess diana ornament she will definitely sell. Her and Travolta dancing was so awesome. RIP princess.
Oh I remember that! I wonder what our world would be like if she was still w/us🦋
That is called her "revenge dress". Keyword ideas!! 😊
1985
Why does this particular Goodwill have so much merchandise coming out on a consistent and seems like they have better merchandise overall..Do things get routed there from all over?
Always fun watching you and Roger shopping together. Such a great team! How exciting that you are renting the antique booth
You guys are so AMBITIOUS!!!! Go for it!!❤
Tray goes with spoons for extra crumbled cheese/sliced radishes/bacon bits/ sliced grapes etc etc for people to individualize their salads or mini slices of buttered bread.
Congratulations on your new business adventure! ❤
Congrats on the booth! I was so excited - I saw you and your husband at Texas Roadhouse this week at dinner. By the time I got up enough nerve to come and say hello you were leaving. Maybe next time!
Best of luck with your booth! They are so much fun.
Good luck on your new venture!
I’ll definitely check out your booth when it is open! I’m so excited for you guys!
Booth: I mentioned the details of the booth you were offered to Rose, since she used to stock our booth and provide overstock to other areas of a large store like this, back before the Pandemic. Her first thought was like yours, get a foot in the door and move as soon as you can, but once I showed her the photo of the booth, her reaction was ouch. I could see her winch, as she considered the effort that booth wood need to present well, as narrow as it is. Her next comment was to outfit it with displays you can move, rather then built-in units, as the earlier tenant did. The previous shelving choice blocks off the view into the narrow space. Then we discussed the 3rd floor issue. It reminded us of a very large venue near us. Every time we go in, there are so many venders that are eyes are rolling back in our heads before we ever get to the booths in the back. I suspect a third 3rd floor location is the same. The first, even the second floor may get traffic, but not so much the further you get from the entry. How are sales up there? Is the manager willing to reveal such details? It may be why 3rd floor booths are what she offers, after other attempts fail. Remember, in the end it has to be profitable to be worth the time and effort, not just fun.
The highest grossing seller is on the 3rd floor
@@lavenderclothesline That is good to hear. Does that vender have a larger booth, with a good position, such as a corner spot on a main aisle. We've found it's often about frontage and corner booths, or booths at main aisle intersection point tend to do well.
Right across from us 😊
@@lavenderclothesline Glad to hear you are enjoying the effort so far. Booths can be fun to do and with luck will turn a profit too. Once ours was established, I saw the other venders as good contacts and even sourcing opportunities. Some venders would decide to get out of the business and close up their booths, I'd sometimes buy up their entire remaining inventory. Booth sellers tended to fall into 2 categories (much like eBay sellers): those who priced there items to sell and relied on a quick turnover and had plenty of stock to keep filling the booths and those who were setting their booths up like static museum displays, with prices set so high that very little inventory moved each month. Often the second group had lovely spaces that customers liked to shop in them, but the sales were not covering operating costs. Often the 2nd category were the booths I'd buy out and simply re-price their items or find a different venue for them and sell them elsewhere, like eBay.
Always a fun Sunday afternoon time with you.
Congratulations on your new booth! It’s going to be wonderful to watch you fill it with treasures!🙌🏻🫶🏻❤️
The wood on the art are canvas stretchers. Like the piece
Diana did wear that dress to an event. Caused quite a stir. It's very traditional to decorate with plates on the wall. Check your decorating magazines.
So nice if you get that spot its a start ….❤
Santa Gnome!!!! He is adorable!!l
You gush all you want!! I love it. So happy for you both.
Your home is beautiful!
Love the booth plans. Great place for those items difficult to ship .My daughter and I are considering it too. Lots of stores in our very small Ozark town. ❤❤
I believe the dress on Diana is also known as one of her "revenge" dresses. Great video!
I would have loved to have found that brass jack, I sold a pair of them for good money not that long ago. Your stores are so good, I am in the Tacoma WA and I can go into the local goodwill 10 days in a row and find nothing.
Congratulations on the booth. I look forward to seeing your progress.
Good luck with booth. How fun! I bet you guys will do great with it.
Oh my Gosh, that is a great space! Im going to come work for you. you are going to need more help. LOL
😊
I think the dress Princess Di is wearing in the ornament is the "Travolta" dress. She wore it to an event at the White House and danced with John Travolta. Thought it might have been the " revenge" dress` similar neckline but that was a short dress. Good stuff!
When I was in high school in the70’s a Brogue looked more like a golf shoe with a flap and you draw your laces through the flap to tie them. That boot was classified as a wingtip…
Congrats on the antique booth!! So jealous here. In CA those rarely come available and when they do they're a pretty penny to rent. They also take commissions and you have to work. Can't wait to see yours and I'll just have to live my dream thru you. Hugs * L
Congrats on the booth! Those gloves were likely hidden for later...in a baking dish with shoes and kids stuff on top?Our store has a policy that employees and volunteers must leave something on the shelf for 24-48 hours before they can buy w their discount so you find weird things hidden away if you look hard enough. ;-)
Do your Goodwills not list most everything online? Ours have signs up that everything collectible, etc. is sold online. We only have broken things at boutique prices.
No! They have way too much stuff
I'd love to have a booth! Good luck with everything.
Karen, also in Hummelstown a new place opened up. It is called Treasures on Main. Might be worth a look also. I will be visiting your booth soon.
The blue ceramic vase. Is nice. I believe there are glass chips that melt into the glaze when fired to get that effect. People like that look. U should do well with the sale of it!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Those red things are egg timers - the top and the bottom twist in different directions to set
So happy a'll got booyh. I know it will be just stunning. Congratulations! 🥰
"Un-Du" is awesome for cleaning paintings, photos, and also getting off sticker and other sticky residue.
The "what's in other Reseller's carts" has been done many, many times already 😂
Love ur sweater,!! ❤
A gnome riding shotgun in the cart!! Lol. Excited for you to have a booth! Carrie in NS
Good luck with your new booth adventure! 😊
❤ I love you and Rodger!
Toll booth Columbia Pa..super cool antique shop..gigantic..prob has space
Those tables are great. Good eye. I like your taste
Omg!! That’s in my neighborhood!! I can’t wait to see your goodies!! ❤❤
Ellingers bowls are nice, light, durable and go through the dishwasher.
Our GW shoes in Ca are outrageous. Much higher then what you are finding. Use to be able to find deals..no more.
Good luck with your new booth!
The little red rounds I think were kitchen timers!!
I remember when Diana wore that dress. It was quite the scandal at the time as royals are only supposed to wear black to funerals. It was her first Royal engagement. And the dress was black.
Great video! 🥰🇨🇦
I think the keys are sterling and would look so good shined up
I believe the three red things that you thought were tape measurers are timers.
My family would bring home cases of Coors from Washington - didn't have in Idaho.
