I worked 18 years in retail and especially during the holidays had customers lose their purse due to walking away from their handbag in their cart. The customer would always say "I was only away from the cart a few seconds" but a few seconds is all it takes to lose a handbag. Whether you have anything of value or not in your purse, it does not feel good to be a victim of theft. We remind you about your purse because we care and dont want you become a victim 😊
Yep, it happened to me in a thrift store and my sister also in a grocery store. Regardless if you have a lot of money in it or not, it's a real hassle when they get your keys and IDs.
I lost my wallet in a grocery store parking lot and later in the day the store called me because someone turned it in. Nothing was missing, but it wasn’t a fun feeling.
My boss used to buy artificial Christmas trees even if they had broken lights on them. Because we would cut them up and use them to make floral arrangements for the Season. The price of artificial Greenery is very expensive and a lot of times getting an old tree to cut up and use to decorate your home is very cost-effective.
I do this! You can use the branches in pots on the front porch too make your holiday decor for less than $20! One artificial tree (5 ft) will allow you to make wreaths, decorative pots, etc for inside & outside your home.
Karen, please chatter all you want to. Your voice is so soothing to me, I watch you while doing dishes or cleaning the kitchen or whatever I am doing and it makes the task so much easier! You are such a delight!
Brass lamps were very popular in the 80’s…Steiffle was the IN brand to buy. Most of my friend, including me, had two marching brass lamps on matching tables at both sides of the sofa.
I would love to hear a bit more about your listing process and how you process your items once you get everything home. Any tricks for listing quickly? Thanks for all of the great content~ always a pleasure to watch. Thanks for keeping me company as I work:)
I have a son named Dylan as well and we’re planning a mom/son supper! When our adult children want to spend time with us I think it’s precious!! And I take offense that anyone says you gab too much!!! No way!!!! I love it ❤
Wow, this was a great video. I loved the dress the viewer sent. Beautiful ❤ There was so much I wanted to comment on but I forgot everything. I'm so glad that you had viewer's give you items. I remember meeting you in the Goodwill on 30 last year when we were in PA on a picking trip. You were so nice and talked to my husband like we had known each other forever 😊. Been watching you ever since ❤.
Have been watching all of your old videos and it inspired me to check out the goodwill store by me. I LOVE IT!!! I love antiques and vintage things and have found some lovely things. Thank you.
I had a friend who actually lifted bags to pay rent/ she’s remoformed😅/ she relayed that it was amazingly easy- shopping carts & bathroom stalls. Elizabeth
💖 Dwarf Pine🌲 mcm dishes were sooooooo spectacular. 😬Such a soft spot for pretty ✨️ pink ✨️ porcelain〰️esp. of that era. I definitely think it’s always interesting when you add in a conversation with Roger and get some of his tips and pointers about reselling 🥰clothing tips would be great!!

Hi, Karen and Roger, wising you a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year, i wait for your videos, I'm housebound and love watching you shop. God Bless xx Grandama England
Oh my gosh, the mother of the bride dress is fabulous! What a nice gift. Even though it’s 33 years old, it’s such a classic that it’s still very relevant. It should sell fast. ❤ I also LOVE the pink dishes! WOW, just WOW! 🤩 🥰
Yak all you want. You have really taught me alot, for someone who might be interested in learning how to sale myself😂. Thanks for all the information. Love your channel!
Wow, that mother of the bride dress is gorgeous! Such a wonderful gesture from Ruth Ann. You and Roger are really cleaning up today! Love you guys. Looks like you will be doing lots of shopping at the antique booths. Have fun!
Oh Karen thank you so much for sharing that pretty snow! When I grew up in NH it always snowed on my BD. In SC not so much. What a gift you gave this stranger. ❤️
I used to work at Laura Ashley in the early 90s! These days the quality just isn’t there. Thank you for another great video. Take care and love to you and Roger. Happy holidays xx
You were commenting on the big boxes of stuff that is pulled off the shelves; these items go to the outlets (bins). What's not sold there is shipped to other countries or go to the landfills. I so enjoy watching you & Roger shop for treasures. I'm wishing you guys a Very Merry Christmas & a Prosperous New Year!🎉
I live how you pick up things that other thrifters might leave behind. You sure know how to manage to find all kinds of different things and then give yoyr vision on how it could be used!!
P.S. Eddie Bauer, Land's End and LL Bean are my go to favs. Whole family wears Eddie. BTW I bought a pair of lined Eddie Bauer pants from you a few yrs ago. And we all rely on those fav lined Eddie pants to keep us warm on 6 mrhs of chilly days esp. in 45-50 degree barn 2-3xs a day and wood splitting/dead tree cutting/ATV riding w firewood... Love & Hugs...🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Good evening, I just want to say I love Your RUclips channel. Great information, I can’t wait to go to Goodwill and have fun picking. Enjoy your evening.
I watch one of your videos a few days ago and you said that the Keen shoes were a good sho. The next day I went to Goodwill and found a pair my size! I love the style. Of course they came home with me.
Great haul and congrats on selling the painting. I have to agree so interesting and I hope they cherish it. Still shocks me at the waste and seeing so much thrown into the box for disposal. Wish more of the 20-30 year olds would stop in to any shop before hitting the big stores for decor. Happy Holidays, your wreath looked beautiful on the door. Tell me was the dress that Ruth Ann sent you a 6? Looks so petite....oh tell Roger we want him to show us a shortened haul....he has an amazing eye also
Oh my gosh, I love the snow baby with the red hat! It is adorable! I also love that you’re saving the mushroom jar. It is very cool! The lamp that you picked up in the very beginning of the video, I think has the wrong shade on it. The shade is far too small, imo (I could be wrong, it’s tough to see size in a video sometimes). You did it again though- you found some amazing items! I’m so jealous of Pennsylvania’s thrifting! You are so lucky! I can see why there’s so many resellers out of Pennsylvania. 😊 xo
The snowbaby, the mushroom jar and the lantern were my favorite items she got. Those items are few and far between in my area of Texas. It's usually like "Oh, here's the same chipped bowl and faded pyrex dish again" lol
The salt and pepper shakers are a Semenov (region) set. The Semenov factory makes nesting dolls as well, but they are the most mass produced in Russia. Worth about $10 - $20 for the set.
On the little round mirror that you picked up, I have a similar mirror, and I took some gold Rob n’ buff on the end of my finger and put it on the little round, dot trim and it really made the mirror pop. Just an idea for you, it took only a few minutes 😊
At 10:46 you picked up a fish that I think is fantastic! I wonder if that would work as a "Small" in your booth. You keep on talking about having a place to sell large things, but you did say that you need to have some smalls. Mediums and smalls will sell daily. Big items may sell more slowly.
That dress is sooo Alexis from Dynasty. 😂 Beautiful . 😃It was very sweet of the woman to send this to you. Yes, sometimes with all that is going on in the world you forget that there are lot of kind people. This is who of its reminders.
I love the flamingo vase, I have never seen anything like it and think it is stunning. Oh my the dress is gorgeous. What a sweet subscriber. Happy Holidays.
In big defense of Eddie Bauer, it is very high quality for the Northern climates. I've lived in it for 20 yrs with daily use for the barn and just now is one long sleeve pull over knit shirts wearing on the cuff. So yes to Eddie Bauer always. Where they fell down in the last five years is sending my knit shirt type to SE Asia, the material they choose for some shirts, not all, was thin and different, but ok for me in Spring. But you have to feel it, most are thick and all clothes; outside, business class (my professional clothes were Eddie; tweed jackets, lovely suede like pants), AND outwear; rain coats, lined rain coats w hoods, especially excellent and VERY long lasting and 90% of my rural life wardrobe. My washable down vest I wear for 6 mths to barn everyday is 20 yrs old and not a wear or thin spot, anywhere. 🦾
I love that you talk through your videos and share so much Isn’t that what it’s all about? I always wonder how people will give advice to someone our age concerning safety and security. It certainly isn’t your first rodeo as we say in Wyoming. I’m hoping to go full time and away from the regular job in the next six months. Have watched you from the first video and absolutely love you. Had my wallet stolen once when my daughter was two and had a meltdown as we were walking into the store. I had to stop and deal with her and someone actually reached into my purse and took it. I didn’t see it but someone walking up to the door did. Didn’t catch the thief but found the wallet a day later in a park.
I was at Goodwill yesterday looking for a baby gate. I was surprised they didn’t have one, and just walked around. Saw bedroom slippers, off brand for $11.99

The best find you ever made in a thrift store is Roger.😊
Did she seriously meet him in a thrift store?!

What you were saying about that doll really got me laughing 😂Too funny!
Hi Karen...you never yap too much. I just love listening to you. ❤
Girl! Brass is trending right now. I just bought vintage brass lamps and solid brass candlesticks. Beautiful! Grab the brass.
Thank you dear Karen as I am one of those people who can't get out. I love it when you take my out and show the best items💪❤
