    I worked 18 years in retail and especially during the holidays had customers lose their purse due to walking away from their handbag in their cart. The customer would always say "I was only away from the cart a few seconds" but a few seconds is all it takes to lose a handbag. Whether you have anything of value or not in your purse, it does not feel good to be a victim of theft. We remind you about your purse because we care and dont want you become a victim 😊

    My boss used to buy artificial Christmas trees even if they had broken lights on them. Because we would cut them up and use them to make floral arrangements for the Season.
    The price of artificial Greenery is very expensive and a lot of times getting an old tree to cut up and use to decorate your home is very cost-effective.

    • @trinasyoutube
      @trinasyoutube 8 месяцев назад +1

      I do this! You can use the branches in pots on the front porch too make your holiday decor for less than $20! One artificial tree (5 ft) will allow you to make wreaths, decorative pots, etc for inside & outside your home.

It certainly isn’t your first rodeo as we say in Wyoming. I’m hoping to go full time and away from the regular job in the next six months. Have watched you from the first video and absolutely love you. Had my wallet stolen once when my daughter was two and had a meltdown as we were walking into the store. I had to stop and deal with her and someone actually reached into my purse and took it. I didn’t see it but someone walking up to the door did. Didn’t catch the thief but found the wallet a day later in a park.

    In big defense of Eddie Bauer, it is very high quality for the Northern climates. I've lived in it for 20 yrs with daily use for the barn and just now is one long sleeve pull over knit shirts wearing on the cuff. So yes to Eddie Bauer always. Where they fell down in the last five years is sending my knit shirt type to SE Asia, the material they choose for some shirts, not all, was thin and different, but ok for me in Spring. But you have to feel it, most are thick and all clothes; outside, business class (my professional clothes were Eddie; tweed jackets, lovely suede like pants), AND outwear; rain coats, lined rain coats w hoods, especially excellent and VERY long lasting and 90% of my rural life wardrobe. My washable down vest I wear for 6 mths to barn everyday is 20 yrs old and not a wear or thin spot, anywhere. 🦾

    Coleman Lamp: The metal case looks to be older then the lamp. That lamp looked like the more modern type that screws onto a propane bottle, rather then the type that used liquid camp fuel. It is mantle and you did say it correct (or at least the way we say it). The older lamps have a date code stamped on the bottom, to give you the year. The older the better. Green is common, red ones less so, but some of the silver and chrome units are very good. If you ship it, protect the glass shade. If shipped in the metal frame, they often don't survive. Many of the old glass shades are cross branded Pyrex. You get them out by spinning off the thumbscrew and lifting the lid. Double Mantles usually bring more then single mantles, including an original small funnel and spare mantles can bump the listing value. Enjoyed the video!

The lamp that you picked up in the very beginning of the video, I think has the wrong shade on it. The shade is far too small, imo (I could be wrong, it’s tough to see size in a video sometimes). I found a almost full 6 serving set of Franciscan Ivy pattern at Goodwill for $35. I find it odd how inexpensive their prices are for good china but a cereal bowl you could find at HomeGoods is $6.🤔

    Watching this just now. Primitives by Kathy is a wholesale business in Lancaster , PA. I sold her products for years in my home decor store. She started her business at her kitchen table & now has an amazingly successful business. She's such a lovely person.
    I enjoy your videos so very much. I have a few to catch up on.

    I have such a good story regarding the brass lamps. My husband was bugging me for a lamp for the longest time and I kept putting it off so I went into a small local thrift and pretty much grabbed the first lamp I saw, it was brass and to me was SO dated, SO UGLY, so not my style but I knew my husband would be happy. I asked how much and she said $5, I was happy with the price, it was brass, VERY heavy but my husband would be appreciative. I get home and turn this ugly beast over and see a brand name, needless to say I looked up the comps and this brand was selling in the $100-$125 range plus shipping so I listed that thing so fast and within 12 days I heard the beautiful KACHING! I couldn't believe it. I can now relate to you Karen when you say you don't want to pick up heavy items, I took the time to box it right after listing it. Needless to say, my husband is bugging me for another lamp, but boy oh boy, I will never go into another thrift store any not look at the lamps. I just wanted to share. Happy holidays to all of you. XO Christine

    Duck Taped Pottery Vase: perhaps the tape was being used in place of felt, to keep the vase from scratching whatever it sat on.

    Always enjoy watching you finding nice things. Glad to see that Goodwill puts the artwork out, in a uncluttered way on the shelves. Unlike some other stores.

    Lovely snowy scene! Just 17 miles NW of me, it snowed - jealous! Ha, I like tall skinny things too - trees, snowpeople, Santas, etc. The snowbaby sure is darling and what a great gift from Ruth Ann!
