Everybody is a critic. Unfortunately, everyone is not a musician of Stanley Jordan's caliber. Its easy to critique something you're not either a) able to do b) able to do just as well,or b) able to do better. RELAX, its his interpretation. Key word being "interpretation". Music doesnt belong to the artist, it belongs to everyone. If you like it, great. If you don't, thats great too. Music is hard and practically ridiculous thing to ever argue over because just like beauty is in eye of the beholder, the beauty of music is in the ear of the listener and how they connect to it. Cant please everybody.
Eddie Harris Jr I would say he was head and shoulders above most guitarists . No, I'm not a musician and I am not a baker but I know a good chocolate cake when I am fortunate enough when I can get a slice.
If God exists then Stanley Jordan is its creator. 😍 I've listened to many guitarists in my life and sweared only by Hendrix and Vai for years but Jordan is even greater. He s so melodic and powerful at the same time! I want his hands connected to my brain *-*

Talent abound….
His first effort is incredible!!!!
No, I'm not a musician and I am not a baker but I know a good chocolate cake when I am fortunate enough when I can get a slice.
yep, very well said!
what he said
Holy Moley!
Usually guitarists of this ability cannot play such a beautiful melody.
Stairway to Heaven - The Fresh Prince
If God exists then Stanley Jordan is its creator. 😍
I've listened to many guitarists in my life and sweared only by Hendrix and Vai for years but Jordan is even greater. He s so melodic and powerful at the same time! I want his hands connected to my brain *-*
check out the greatest ever - Shawn Lane. died age 40 in 2003.
Guy: "What instrument do you play?"
Stanley Jordan: "Guitars"
