I have decorated my BTE hearing aids! Pink stickers on the hearing aids themselves twisty pink ties, and pink glittery earmoulds! I may not be a teenager but why should I look like a boring old fart! I spent over 25 yrs hiding my hearing aids or leaving them in a drawer! But I am now profoundly deaf & need these hearing aids full time so why should they be beige with clear tubing & earmoulds! You wear fashionable sexy looking glasses & nobody even mentions it,but once your in a wheelchair all the looks & questions are asked! 💖
And Elinor I think your wheelchair decorations look really cool! I don't know how often you have used your wheelchair in the past 6 mths but it's good you want to show it off! You did the hardest thing in the first place by admitting you needed a wheelchair & taking the time to find the right one! So now as they say you can pimp your ride! One thing I would worry about is all the decorations getting wet & dirty & you having to keep washing them! Have you thought about painted wheels that would stand out? Well done for using a wheelchair as I know how hard it is to use a mobility aid & have people stare at you! 🥰🥰
I love mobility aid decorating, it's so fun! I enjoy your aesthetic a lot even though it's quite different from mine. Very whimsical, and your decorating looks lovely! Personally I've decorated my cane using fabric covers I bought from a cane user who handmakes them. I love that your mom knitted those for you! All your break-taking was a huge mood...'tis the chronically ill life!
one of my best friends is likely going to be wheelchair bound sometime in the future, I’m a very crafty person so I’m totally going to do something like this for it when it is
The nit is so pretty, and when you were putting it on the wheel and stopped because of feeling exhausted, it was as if I was looking at myself. The smallest physical activity tires me out easily and causes me shortness of breath, making me feel as if Ive been running when really I just walked a few steps. This is why I'm Researching mobility aids to help with my chronic illness, "Primary Sjögren’s and POTS. Your wheelchair came out so pretty, I love the Butterflies.
I love the butterflies, they're so cute! The colours look so nice together too! I decorate my sticks with stickers, I need to figure a way to stop them peeling off though it's a nightmare 😂
Thankyou! I didn't do stickers because i thought they might be too difficult to get off, shows what i know i guess hahah!! My best guesses are mod podge, clear packing tape or sticky back plastic???
i'm watching this for inspo ive been using my nans old wheelchair for ages and it's been to big for me and it's grey and red and a horrible colour but my mum revealed to me yesterday she's buying me a new wheelchair for christmas i wanna decorate it so it's pretty i can't wait ! :)
Love this, especially the wooden wheel covers and handle covers (the latter my PA could do with as she finds the handles on my wheelchair uncomfortable). I’ve recently bought some spoke guards from Izzy wheels which I saved up for. I did like the crochet ones think it’s probably the same company you mentioned but I thought some plastic ones would be more practical and easier to put on. Plus I have other ways I’ve accessorised my wheelchair like with my FFORA products and different bags and my bundle bean cosy too. Personally I feel accessorising my wheelchair shows off me and my personality so people see that rather than me sat in a wheelchair if that makes sense?
Decorated my wheelchair awhile back, is neon pink, has rainbow lights that can flash on the wheels, and has lots of badges in the back- very tempted to add butterflies to it now!! How do they attach? X
Lately walking has been becoming harder so I'm thinking about getting a mobility aid specifically a rollator and I'm looking for inspo for decor I love your wheelchair it's very cute
@@ElinorBrown I am just thankful you do closed captions as now being profoundly deaf I struggle to work out what's being said! Lip reading is not as easy for me with my sight issues 💖💖

It looks really good! I would also highly recommend a seat cushion especially a gel one
Thankyou! I haven't found my wheelchair at all uncomfortable as i don't use it for very long at a time, so I'm not sure if i need one?? 💜

Obvious answer but have you tired a clear coat on them ?
@@genericyoutubehandle. i haven't yet! My next plan was a coat of clear nail varnish, we'll see if it works!

This is sooo cute!! I can’t wait to get mine
Very beautiful!
It looks so cute!!
I need this ✨✨✨
I have seen some of the wheel covers with Velcro to hook on the wheel
Pimped out ride! You need to fit some underglow lights to really set the mood!😉
I see the beautiful knitted things but I wonder about how weather proof and movement sturdy it is. Probably stretch a lot.
So far there's no sign of wear at all!

If you don't mind is it the muscle weekness wich is forcing yu to use wheelchair or the extreme fatigue or both ?
I love it!! I do have a little request, it would be so nice if you increased the video volume while editing by a quarter, much love!!
Thanks for the tip! I did notice it was a little quiet in places i will try to make it better next time!
