From America...can’t be happier for our UK friends! Thank God for independent nations 🙏
God has nothing to do with it. Good riddance that the UK is out of the EU, they have been nothing than a thorn in EU's side. The EU is scared of the UK? Really? The UK is a small economy compared to the EU's. Enjoy your independence UK, the EU is happy to no longer be in this unhappy marriage with you. If Farage loved Brexit, he should completely understand and support Scotland's and Ireland's request to get out of the United Kingdom and be independent from the tyranny of the UK. Only fair.
Christophe Blanchi do you not remember that Scotland had a vote on independence and they voted to remain in the union? And Ireland are already independent from our ‘tyranny’ btw....
Many thanks Michelle, God bless America and democracy. The question is, how the hell did we get into this position in the first place? A few ex prime ministers need to answer some questions.

Right now, Boris is keeping an optimistic tone cuz telling the people how it really is would throw the country in chaos. And the funny thing is that the poorer the country will be, the stronger BJ's grip over it will be.

All this jingoistic stuff has appeal - which is why it is popular with the likes of yourself and the Readership of the Sun - but the cold hard reality is very different. The EU which is a group of states not some evil behemoth - have been clear on their position from the start. You want zero tariffs, rule harmony is required. If you don't want to harmonise your rules that is completely fine but then you shall not have zero tarrifs. What is being done is shifting the blame to the EU for why we cannot agree a deal and why we should crash out of the EU without a deal. It is simple. Don't want to pay gym membership fees? totally fine. But do not expect to be able to use their equipment. The reason is that if the gym did allow it, then its other members would be cheesed off and they might also leave in the hope of getting the same deal. The gym would go bankrupt and then everyone would lose out. Not gonna happen.

Macron seems to think that our territorial waters and fisheries are up for negotiation again. Poor deluded fool!
You are the fool. When we were in the Eu we were the only country to sell our fishing quotas. The rest of the EU said we were mad, but out govt saw a quick buck. What makes you think they will not do that again?
Those super trawlers currently in British waters that everyone is complaining about? You think they are British?
@@mattsmith87 That's the whole point. The reason they sold the quotas was because running a fishing boat became almost impossible financially.
Britain's fishing fleet was historically compromised of smaller fishing vessels, the quota system only works well for vessel's above a certain tonnage - mainly trawlers (much larger than fishing boats) & therefor it's harder to run a small fishing vessel due to fuel costs/size of the catch legally a loud to keep, cargo capacity, crewing, wages etc all directly tied to the maximum catch of a vessel.
Many families and seaside towns around the coast received major economic damage due to the EU Common Fishery policy favouring large Trawler fleets from large corporations & went out of business.
The local fisherman had to sell up their boats & quota's because running a smaller fishing boat wasn't economically viable anymore.
Some trawlers are also terrible for the seabed as they run their gear across the seabed, disturbing the sediment, ripping out weed, rocks & local ecosystems.
Over fishing is almost impossible with smaller fishing vessels unless it is on the scale of Chinese fishing. Over fishing with large Trawling fleets primary found in Europe is much more a possibility, hence the EU Common Fishery policies that was applied to Trawlers & smaller Fishing vessels. (Trawlers are generally much larger than fishing boats, between 3 to 10 times the size).
If the EU had any intelligence behind the policy it would have set different rules according to the size, catch capacity and tonnage of fishing vessel or trawler.
This is why seafarers like myself are against EU fishing rights in UK territorial waters, we need to rebuild our fleets & ensure our seaside towns get a chance to rebuild their local economies from fishing.
Please don't believe our fishermen are against the EU because we see it as 'our' fish. It's because families & friends that fished for generations were intentionally handicapped by policy makers who didn't think about the small local fishermen & only considered the needs of the larger fishing corporations. Nobody stopped to think of the local man and his family.
Just look at Grimsby, Fleetwood, Milford etc...these towns used to flourish with the fishing trade but now they are full of poverty, drug ridden, crime ridden & it isn't because people got bored of fishing.
@@saltyshackles5227 If this were true that it was EU policy that made the fleets uneconomically viable, then other EU countries would have been forced to sell their quotas too. But they didn't.
@@mattsmith87 Each country has different requirements for fleet capabilities. Portugal, Spain and Netherlands have larger vessels in their fleets because they must be able to go further out to sea, into deeper waters for lucrative fishing. UK vessels only needed to go a few miles off, thats why they have bigger vessels and we had smaller vessel historically. When this quota system came in, those countries fleets were set up perfectly for it, whilst ours weren't. Now to build a new trawler is very expensive, something a local fisherman wouldn't be able to afford.
I dont know what the Government will do, I am just stating the reality of how this big mess came to be. I just hope in the end everyone can calm down and find a resolve in the middle somewhere that benefits everyone and not just one side.

This man will NEVER get the recognition he deserves, (even though I still think he is too close to Trump) Thank you Mr Farage, we would not be here if it were not for you.
Yes we are in this mess thanks to this man, agreed.
@@HappyinJapan358 Mess? You need to keep up sunshine .. we're out!
At grass roots level Trump is fine...most of it edited and misconstrued by the press in USA and UK...they live to hate him....just think of the lefty mess if Hilary had been voted in
Thank God, we have you Nigel Farage. I would have loved you and Richard to have got a a seat in the Govt. in this country. We have Brexit because of you Mr. Farage and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you Sir.
🤣🤣🤣 how ignorant can people be
🤣🤣🤣 You are the world laughing stock. 3rd world UK 🤣🤣
Keep their feet to the fire Nigel. Things seem to be going well so far. A bit suspicious, me thinks. We lost our trust in politicians a long time ago. What we need now are deeds not words.
You think handing Northern Ireland over to the EU means that things are going well?
Wait till Denmark leave the EU.
I hope Denmarkistan is out of the EU next. 🐴👈
@David C well said Sir, based on ms Patel’s proposals for a points based immigration system I don’t hold much hope for our governments ability to get a deal that puts Britain first. We will encourage more non Eu migrants so we may as well top the lot by going soft on our deal with the EU. They need watching
David C exactly. Keep your 👀 on Boris Nigel!
Bo Jo you needed, Sir, Nigel on that red phone,, 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👌R.B.
Joni Mac but that would stick in bo jo crawl cause it would be admitting that Nigel was right all along👍🏻
@Joni Mac yes Priti Patel also needs Nigel when she is designing immigration policy. We need caps on the numbers not a very easy to hit points target.
Yeah, they should collaborate
Nigel Farage isn't a Sir, he hasn't been knighted
We owe this man big time
That Great Man deserves a Statue... Maybe a Crowdfunding effort ??
Kudos to The Sun, (unlike BBC etc... ) letting people speak without interruption.
Lets go WTO
@pat dunne half of the people don't know what WTO rules are, they are the bare bones of trade and it will take years to negotiate deals with different countries
It will be the poorest that suffer. Turkey's are voting for Christmas
Same ones who will say my benefits don't cover x, y and z. Why are prices higher now. The Same ones crying for wto rules
Same ones who will say my benefits don't cover x, y and z. Why are prices higher now. The Same ones crying for wto rules
J F B Nope. Food will be cheaper outside the common agricultural policy and the restrictive tariffs for food from the rest of the world that have been imposed on us until now.
@pat dunne Yes I do the problem with you snowflake re-moaners is you don't you lost and you can always leave no one is keeping you
Business interests are going to make the EU toe the line.
Ah yes. The rush of the Italian prosecco makers and the German automotive makers. I'm scanning the horizon and still can't see them.
Did you see the speech by the Danish MEP?
He told the EU parliament, "Denmark joined the EU *so that* they could trade with their *largest trading partner,* the UK"
He then went on to warn the EU to be flexible with the UK and secure a good trading partnership with them.
And you could almost hear the "or else..." afterwards.
@@VIVA_CPTPP keep on dreaming
@james lynch are you joking ? It’s big business that will drive us to a deal that puts them first not the country. It’s people that need to drive this process not big business.
Money rules everything ultimately. Politics is the veneer for business and money making. The sweet pill for the masses. It's the"entertainment division of the military industrial complex" (Zappa). The real industrial power is patiently watching and it will step in and put the politicians in their place. Restaurants in the Med need us, German card need us, French wine producers need us...we spend big bucks. They know it. All this bluff will fade and we'll be fine. Dear EU..It's a trading block remember. Duh ! They think we have to be bound to their rules. Er...no.

“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
So you don’t support the police? Or NHS? Fire service?
Bathwater Salesman those are social programs, and don’t necessarily make Britain a socialist country
Bill Gamin of course not, but they are still socialist aspects of a capitalist society. You can not deny that some socialism is good, and that no society is either polar extreme.
@@TT-hd3zi Those things are not inherently socialist at all.
Classical liberalism (not modern 'liberalism' which is just Socialism in disguise) states the following:
"Anything that cannot be adequately provided by the private sector MUST be provided by the public sector"
Now, what 'adequate' means in this sentence is somewhat vague however we can state that a private emergency services would not work. Private healthcare may give us fantastic healthcare (the US has the best healthcare in the world) but the costs would be prohibitive for many (like the US).
@Elmer T Fuddrucker except the leaders wouldn't be sharing the misery
Good old Nigel! Him starting the Brexit party forced the torries to act having been crushed in the EU elections.. It got rid of Treason May and got Boris sat at the helm.. This was what we all voted for in the referendum.. 👍👌
