Guys you're all very lucky to participate at the Guimaras Eat-all-you-can Mangoes. Did you know that the Philippine Mango was Awarded by the Guinness Book of World Records as the Best, Delicious, and the Sweetest Mango in the World? You've already tasted it, now you be the judge.
yes but guiness awarded it to another province in the Philippines, Zambales in Luzon and it's for their variety of carabao mangoes called Sweet Elena back in 1995 and another in 2011 but Zambales was not very aggressive marketing their mangoes unlike Guimaras
Ohh, how I miss those Philippine mangoes!!! I also know that the Philippines is the chosen supplier of mangoes to Buckingham Palace and the British Royal Family. Nothing like Philippine mangoes ❤
I actually miss the Philippine mangoes. I always tried every mango here in Vietnam but none of them taste like what we have in the Philippines. Thanks for your vlog. It’s very therapeutic as an OFW.
I agree just came from Thailand. I ate a lot of mangoes , they're sweet and juicy yes, but when it comes to smell and texture, they cannot beat phil mangoes especially in my home province, guimaras.
I married a man from Iloilo we visited in October for the first time in November and spent a day on Guimaras we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended. Thanks for the video!
You guys have been doing a great job promoting the Philippines and Guide to the Philippines. It makes me want to go back home and use Guide to the Philippines for all my travel plans. Glad it’s you guys who they chose to partner with. Y’all deserve all the blessings you are enjoying right now. More power to the Lockwood family!
I’m fr pangasinan,we have mangoe trees,we just pick up when the mangoes are mature,as a former OFW in HK,I brought some and gave to my american employers and they said it’s the sweetest mangoes they ever tasted, after a few years we met again to catch up other’s lives, they cannot forget the sweet mangoes.🇨🇦

Guimaras , formerly called Himal-os was settled by the Portuguese explorer in 1581 under the Spanish crown during the reign of Philip II. The name came from Guimarães, the birthplace of modern Portugal which I happened to visited 2 years ago. Your family is so lucky to experience the Ilonggo cuisine and its finest mango. I was born in Bacolod, a city next to Guimaras. Another food destination. The People in both Panay and Negros are culturally the same even the cooking. Also, fun fact the young 23 year old Gen MacArthur was a head engineer that constructed the road and Santo Rosario wharf in 1903. So much American history in this region , like the first american schoools in Santa Barbara , Iloilo and golf clubs. I can go on and continue but the list is so long. Please visit Bacolod and explore the colonial city of Silay and Mambukal hot springs of Murcia which was bulit by japanese folks in 1920 by Ishiwata and have a great onsen.
I love mangoes in the Philippines. I have yet to go to Guimaras and it is in my bucket list. I was there in the Philippines last year, and I went and visited Baguio and Boracay. Love love love Filipino food and the fresh fruits. I crave for them.
what a beautiful family you are....the Lockwood family....colt is so articulate.....thank you for choosing to have a home in the philippines....denver and the philippines....your children are growing up....i agree that philippine mangoes are the best especially cold mango with coffee in the morning,
I'm envious cause I love Philippine mangoes. I'm originally from Bacolod, Negros Occidental so I'm very familiar with Guimaras mangoes being that we're neighbor islands and we even speak the same dialect. So happy for you enjoying the Philippines.
One of our experts on mangoes at the dept of Agriculture in cebu says the Philippine mangoes is a blessing to our country be cause seeds and seedling where smuggled to other countries have bared fruits never as good as those that grew here in the Philippines.
I was born in Iloilo City but lived in Guimaras Island till 5, moved to Manila till 9, and then left for the US for the rest of my life. Yes, Iloilo has the sweetest mango (teardrop shape) in the entire PI or even the entire world. Other countries would call their mango as Philippines mango but does not come close to the sweetness grown in Iloilo (Guimaras).
You must mean the best mango in the world. Talking from experience, once you've tasted one, you'll never touch another variety ever again. Such a fun day at the festival.
I love Guimaras island.. I'm from Negros Occ and that's my family and I's favorite place to go on vacation. ❤️🩷❤️🩷 Guimaras deserves the recognition 🥰🥰🥰
I love that youre travelling the philippine islands and really immersing yourselves with the filipino culture instead of being stuck in the city! Loving your videos ❤ there is a lot to discover ...
The Philippines is spectacular and more fun. The boracay, palawan, bohol, cebu, siargao, iloilo, bataan, tagaytay, baguio, albay, siquijor, intramuros and the BGC.
I miss the Panay islands, especially Antique and Iloilo where I built my Usana biz in 2012... Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to visit Guimaras.. But one of my friends brought me some green mangoes from the island and I thought it was still not ripe. When I peeled off the skin, I was surprised because the flesh was already yellow and it was unbelievably sweet! Like my brain couldn't process what I was eating that time!
Some say there's not a lot of unique Filipino food, but I totally disagree. I recently visited the Philippines and tried adobo, turon, taho, and their famous mangoes and mango shake during a street food crawl in Makati, which I documented on my channel. They're all amazing! Watching this video makes me want to come back for more.🇵🇭

The welcome refreshment is probably a top dollar option. Happy for you! Thanks for sharing what the common Juan Dela Cruz (Filipino) can only dream of but can’t experience.
Congratulations on making it to Guimaras! I wish you could post this video on your ABC channel too. You have more diverse subscribers there who might find your videos interesting. Thank you for introducing the Philippines in your vlog and share to everyone what is your experience in the Philippines, god bless and more power ❤much love from the Philippines
Wow! I’m a mango lover too! Just a piece of advice, too much eating mango In 3 or more consecutive days will cause skin rashes especially when it’s hotty season and when you’re not use to eat it.but it will fade away as soon as you stop eating them. Bring some anti-histamine . Take it slowly and enjoy!
Thank you forSHOWING this part of the island, its another paradise, we definitely will check this place out👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🥰
What a fun trip!!! Wow! Very cool and unique experience for the fam. That cave swimming looked awesome! Can’t believe they had mango wine and mango ketchup!!😲🥭

Guys there are windmills near Metro Manila too, in Pililla in Rizal Province (pronounced Pee-LEEL-yuh) which is only 2+ hrs. from Manila. Been there and stood beneath one of those massive machineries and yes, it was quite an experience! In Pililla though, each windmill is cordoned around its base, so you can't touch it. I heard it's dangerous too to do that. ⚡ :)

Hands down to my SOP dessert for life. Sweet tangy juicy mangoes.

Now i know
even in white house. they serve Philippines mango.
One thing about Philippine mangoes, there's no chemical additives. Pick them straight from the trees just like coconuts. So delicious 😊.
On its original genetics, not hybrid, chinese do it to make it larger per fruit and speed up all year round production!
I actually miss the Philippine mangoes. I always tried every mango here in Vietnam but none of them taste like what we have in the Philippines. Thanks for your vlog. It’s very therapeutic as an OFW.

It’s because of the soil and the acidity of the rain. That’s how it got the designation.
