Seals in Pelican Island, Walvis Bay, Namibia

We visited Walvis Bay on NCL Dawn while on a cruise around the Southern Cape of Africa. We did a shore excursion on a small hoary that took us to Pelican island and saw lots of playful Cape Fur Seals. Enjoy

Hi just watched your video about the Norwegian dawn 😂.
We are doing a similar cruise in Jan at the moment there are only 17 excursions up most to reunion non for port Elizabeth Richards bay Walvis Bay did you book your excursions on the ship or private.
We have done 60 cruises done both but nervous after ncl leaving people in South Africa early this year thank you great channel

Yes destination definitely makes up for ship! We used NCL excursions and there are videos uploaded about our experience. However many people successfully used private excursions. There is a VERY good Facebook page for SA cruises which I shall try and find and post a link.

It’s a good idea to plan some time in Cape Town as it is an amazing city.
