No It doesn’t lol … you can literally get sequential bills at your local bank … especially if you ask for a large sum in big bills , and saddam and his cronies always had money … they confiscated millions of usd from the saddam family so it makes tons of sense , what he was getting at was more of the fact that since mooselit had so much money and in big bills he had to be a person of influence … which he was and led to saddam .
I’m in the Navy, just an MA. While I was stationed in Guam I did a deployment in the PI, Camp Navarro. The CO when I first got there explained how he was there or lead that raid that captured Sadaam.

Sean: Chris VanSant is an avatar of that which is "a quiet professional." Very impressive guy, who tells his stories with clarity and humor. He convincingly projects the feel of a real-deal guy providing details that only an experienced operator would think to include. I had to smile in one interview when he spoke about the weird personalities projected by the cadre during Robin Sage (Q Course) at Ft. Bragg. What he shared ran true with my own experience in the same setting. Sean, small suggestion -- if you use the "F" word at all, do it very sparingly. Too often, it sounds forced and inauthentic to a point where it detracts from your presentation. Just a suggestion. Tom Wilson
Because that's not what we do... it's a shame no one says that any more. No politicians, no journalists, nobody. It's all partisan now, no matter how important the issue or how obvious the corruption and/or lies.
I would really like to hear this AND once they found out that the entire war on terror was a sham and a lot of their friends died needlessly. The truth hurts and a lot of vets can’t accept that awful truth (like Vietnam)
Tikrit was just up the road from where I was at Balad Airbase on 12/13/03. Never forget the Bremmer press conference I saw live on CNN or Fox or wherever. Yeah, after nearly 9 months of living like an animal I had TV thanks to the Corps of Engineers and the USAF.
Or he raided their US cash reserves before fleeing. But who knows, we literally flew in pallets stacked with cash into Iraq never to be seen again. Billions in cash. We also stole all of saddams gold and split it with certain Eastern European countries
Exactly the real Saddam could spare the dummy Saddam a couple of thousand out of two semis packed full of 100$ American bills. That's 28 pallets per each truck!! Yes how f'n convenient. He had no use for money in Iraq. Good common sense!
Saddam spent most of the 80s fighting a proxy war against the Iranians on our behalf. Of course he had mountains and mountains of American cash lying around.
Shawn - I recently discovered your channel and have been intrigued by the content. As someone who served with no combat exposure I appreciate what is being shared. I can't begin to understand the challenges or crap you and your guests have been through. One thing I do know is that integrity and character is always something that has been engrained into me. I am not so naïve to believe that all those that have served have those traits. I also believe there isn't a politician out there that gives a shit about anyone but their selves. The only thing that bothers me about your podcast is people defending Trump. The guy probably did some good things for the US with regards to the economy, but as far as being a good leader, I don't think so. It's just my opinion. He has screwed so many honest people over that he doesn't deserve to be defended. If you politics out of the equation, he'd be toast. I am also not so naïve to believe our country wasn't screwed up before Trump. I think your content is great and would like to continue to see what's next. Thanks for your service, your honesty, your guts, and courage. Happy New Year!
It's interesting to see an operator give ups to sigint. I mean, operational guys know about sigint power, but of course, most other people don't. even in the military. great content Shawn.

He was captured just outside of the town Ad-Dawr. It's where Saddam is from, and he still has many family members living there.
He was 10x the man Biden will ever be, lunatic can't even ride a fkn bike
Nothing against other podcast or media channels but Shawn is killing it. Luv it. Shout out to Mike Drop podcast he's also rocking it...
I was stationed right outside where they found him. My buddy who was over there when they found him said he was standing in line to get some food at a little shop. The owner was so happy they got down he gave my buddy food for free
Yes, they are the best. I served over 6 years abroad, mainly in the Middle East. We've worked with the best Special Forces... but I know Delta is the most elite. They don't write books, they're quiet in Hollywood, they're real fighters...not for the money. Simply the best I've ever fought side by side. Special Greetings from Poland - S.
Watched the news about Saddam getting captured but to hear the full story what a treat made my day! Thank you!
Gosh .......... Chris VanSant , ........ for me at least, is one of your most fanciating guests ......... the OPs he's been involved in are off the rails BA !!!! ......... thank you Shawn
One thing i have learned from this Man and Rob is that Ambien must be totally awesome.
Is good in that it puts you to sleep pretty quickly and you wake up without the drowsiness of other sleep medicine.
This guy makes being a hero death eater sound so much fun lol he obviously had a sick time eradicating evil.
DC is still standing...the banksters that play with society like chess are still operational and breathing.
Fascinating stuff. Thanks for sharing Shawn.
Chris gave a nice version of how they caught Saddam. Word from another Unit operator with Chris said some of the guys got to clock him real good. Especially the interpreter that was with them.
Apparently saddam became good buddies with the guards in detention. They frequently played cards and shared stories
I had to laugh for a minute. When the guy is explaining how they figured out they had the handler by the money in his wallet. He’s talking about the serial numbers and Shawn says “You guys figured that out right there in the field?” I mean. He is Army. But, still that’s a pretty cold blooded cut right there, Shawn. Lol. 😂🤣😂
Scary part is knowing how he got american currency in sequential bills. Our government is so corrupt
Dude's terminology that he's using dispels any notions that he's a fake. Dry hole is legit and I don't hear fakes ever use it, let alone correctly in context.
All the things he says and you pick dry hole. Lol.
The only thing that’s fake is your brain dude
The only two people he’s had on who set off my bullshit meter were “dr” Steven greer and that ex trans navy seal, can’t remember its name
Also when you hear him interview guys and they say they had a squirter or terms like no factor. It’s great for those of us that have been in those communities that understand the langauge a little more than others.
@@ookalar665 I had a seriously hard time with both of those! I think those two were the only ones I never finished just because my bullshit level was already overflowing!
This guest is awesome.
I've been waiting on this one
Your guess to how you found sounds really good almost like that's what happened......
Thank-you for your service ❤
Exactly what is a battlefield interrogation
That’s what saddam gets for not using the US petro dollar
Yes and also khaddafi
@@lindascott1874 the Arab League asked for intervention and the UN voted yes. Gaddafi's economic ideas were just a rehashing of stuff that didn't work in the past.
Brazil just signed a deal with China to use their own currency, are they next ?
That's fucked up lol!
Yup innocent
Lol sequential money means printing and laundering. Meaning our government
Everyone was there and lead the raid. /s
Out of the 260 Navy SEALS who served in Vietnam, I have met 1,500 of them!
@@jetdr 😂😂😂
@@Mateo47R I mean ok, if that’s what you tell yourself
Incredible story
DARN IT! You got me! Now I have to watch this interview and subscribe to your channel!
These interviews are addictive
Thank you for this video Shawn and for what you two did and are doing.🇺🇲🐕🦺
I like what he says about the dogs being fired up. How he could feel it.
That entrance was some bad shit
what an awesome story!
I believe this to be as good a description of the capture as the capture/kill of Bin Laden.
Wow what an adrenaline rush he must of went through! Great stuff! 👍🏻
Amazing! Thanks alot
I was in Tent City at LSA Anaconda walking to the showers when we heard the news.
my god that was dope!
Dude Chris is an absolute savage. Us as Americans are beyond lucky we have men like him on our side lmao complete warrior who is now able to elegantly place his traumas into words for us to try to understand. Great episode. One of my top 5 SRS episodes 💯🤌🏻
Ill never forgot the moment they got him. I was deployed with 3rd group in afghanistan. Within hours I was seeing the videos.
Tom Wilson
But did he ever ask why, and for whom?
4th ID caught him
Great guest. Cheers guys
Because that's not what we do... it's a shame no one says that any more. No politicians, no journalists, nobody. It's all partisan now, no matter how important the issue or how obvious the corruption and/or lies.
Shawn what's the name brand of shoes do you have?
Halloween night!?! That’s a detail a never realized.
Shawn Ryan is a great listener.
Feel sorry for what y'all went through.
I feel sorry for the hundreds of thousands of iraqis lives are destoryed all in the name of american greed, your "patriotism" is skin crawling
For what? He loved it
There is nothing better than a Shawn Ryan "Holy Shit."
Best time of my life
I would really like to hear this AND once they found out that the entire war on terror was a sham and a lot of their friends died needlessly. The truth hurts and a lot of vets can’t accept that awful truth (like Vietnam)
Preempting. There were no weapons of mass destruction. Just stop
It happens.
The owners wanted a war, we had a war.
I saw a reenactment on the History Channel. I think they made it look aight.
Shawn: "So you were on the Saddam raid?"
Chris: "Yea"
Shawn: "Damn"
Next shirt please,alright 😂
Tikrit was just up the road from where I was at Balad Airbase on 12/13/03. Never forget the Bremmer press conference I saw live on CNN or Fox or wherever. Yeah, after nearly 9 months of living like an animal I had TV thanks to the Corps of Engineers and the USAF.
Great content. TY
This guy is the coolest interview yet!
"Popped an ambien, had a couple beers" I did that once. Wound up naked in my yard
Halloween night? What were y’all dressed as?!!! Lol
Power rangers
Special forces? Lol
4ith ID.
You getting the exclusives bro
I love my life, but these type of guys....man, I am jealous of all these heroes making history. It's humbling.
🐑
@@threepercenter0371Ironic of you.
Finding that guy with sequential bills absolutely smells like some cia shit
They used a remote viewer to find him!
Great stuff
This is definitely not the story that was on the news at the time. If I recall correctly it was a black enlisted man from an infantry unit...
Take about being a part of history! 👍🇺🇸
Good stuff right there.
Just between this and his somalia story, this dude could writte a series of books
Epic stories!
It's interesting to see an operator give ups to sigint. I mean, operational guys know about sigint power, but of course, most other people don't. even in the military. great content Shawn.
I have absolute disgust for the US government but respect and love for guys putting their bodies on the line.
