Yes, holding block while melee'ing lets you melee faster. If you have a 45 RPM glaive you can melee in between shots without loosing dps. Disruption break is deceptively good too, 50% extra kinetic damage on a shield break. (Which means glaive melees). Nothing beats chill clip however, best in class for utility and damage. Big new mistake is thinking the shield makes you invincible. Or that you can rely on only it in a crowd. Its best for dueling larger enemies, bosses, etc. Just have an exit plan, and dont rely on walking backwards into cover from a bad situation.
@ I have a rake angle I enjoy with auxiliary reserves, replenishing aegis, chill clip, with a shield duration masterwork. Was hoping for a handling masterwork but beggars can’t be choosy I guess. I just found your channel today - I’m really digging and studying the play throughs.

how essential would you say replenishing aegis is on the glaive?
Not wholly. It’s just my preference. Overflow works well if you can get it.
