My theory for the purple W badge is that at first they only implemented Luigi and Wario colors, but then after thinking about mixing both to make Waluigi they changed the W badge to yellow as to avoid confusion
I think the textbox around 3:30 is actually Goombella's Tattle ability for that area, like seen later in the video. You can see a very tiny bit of her ponytail at the top left part of the rock to the left of Mario.
Its not its just saying they're not spoiling the rest of the game and to wait for the game release. This is just the demo saying this is all you can do and you can't move forward from here
You should do a Where's My Water? lost bits. You have no idea how many unused stuff is in that game. There's unused levels, an animation viewer, debug buttons (although only some still work), unused objects, an unused fluid, and more.
18:04 The early design of the fire flower is used in the game. There’s a shop to the west of Rogueport that has a sign with that early fire flower on it
Given that the Japanese word for the Chinese concept of "Tao" is "Dou," in this case "daimu" may possibly have been meant to be "time" as used as a loan word rather than "dime."
The "Old Texture" for the shop 1:49 is actually used in the final release for the West Side Goods shop next to the Pianta Parlor. I never noticed it was different until after seeing this video a couple hours ago.
It takes me back to when I actually remember playing one of those kiosk demos of TTYD back then. It's how I got into playing Thousand Year Door and I'm glad I got the game
I’m hoping someday to see you cover the Mario and Luigi games since they have a lot of cool things to talk about especially Superstar Saga. Great video BTW
That’s what I decided to do! I’ve always wanted to play this game but never could because I didn’t have the right controller. Now I can finally do it. I recommend it. It’s so awesome.
I always wished Nintendo gave us the ability to play Luigi’s adventure too, we never get to experience what he did, just how he describes the events. Could also mean he never really did it
Last week I wouldn’t stop searching for this because I got back into the lost bits series. And I’m so happy for this. Hopefully there will be one for Super and TOK
I think the key you spoke about theorizing hooktail was actually the key needed when unlocking the door in the west of rogueport during the “find my key” quest. It definitely seems familiar so I think it honestly came from there.
If the changes were drastic between the final release and the demo, I would be inclined to believe they prepared content for the demo well in advance, or decided to have details altered to ensure certain elements were experienced fresh on the first real playthrough.
2:35 the dull bones enemies (or at least the red one) don't seem to have the +1 defense like they do in the final seeing as how mario can deal damage with a jump
Could be, but I doubt that though as the thousand year door was shown off in the trailer, so I don't think it was a big secret or anything. It's probably a lot more likely the final name just wasn't finalized - like with Breath of the Wild 2 becoming Tears of the Kingdom
11:08 this was ment to be koopie koo being worry about koops going to hooktail castle. As in some early gameplay footage. New music for a cutscene with koopiekoo
This video made me so excited to play the remake! I have my physical preorder and everything, and there is NO way that gets cancelled! Thanks Tetrabitgaming!
ngl, i'm pretty excited for the remake/remaster. One of my most favorite games of all time. I even had the strategy guide for this as a kid so I easily 100% completed it. all I really had left was to fill the badge and cooking collection. thankfully the guide had all the combos in the back. Even had all the troubles listed too. I'm so glad nintendo is giving the old paper mario formula attention again. never really played anything past super paper mario.
Usually i'm months or years off watching videos, excited and bummed to be so early so as to have to wait for the next installation! I guess i'll have to be patient 😂 now let's see if i've missed any of your videos...
You miss one very unused thing, that no one knows (since im the only one who noticed). The glow on the floor by the thousand year door ( when using the map) was original purple [same colour of the door], instead of the blue one. You can see it on the credits a picture of it.
I was watching basically the Japanese version of Kit and Krystal and they refer to the Crystal Stars as the Star Stones. I wonder if they changed it because stone sounds cheap.
Do Goombas have soles? 🤔🤔🤔
Maybe
Idk
Uhhhhh…..
might have them
PLEASE make a Team Fortress 2 Lost Bits
My theory for the purple W badge is that at first they only implemented Luigi and Wario colors, but then after thinking about mixing both to make Waluigi they changed the W badge to yellow as to avoid confusion
I thought otherwise it would just be Wario's signature color like Mario Kart 64 and such where Wario got it purple instead of yellow
The Goombas aren’t soulless in TTYD. We’d have to wait until the 3DS for that to happen.
😂
This comment made me laugh, but so did the X-Nauts being called "Boomer Gangers" in the Kiosk Demo.😂😂
old bobbery goes too hard
So hard it blows up the whole cake nation
I think the textbox around 3:30 is actually Goombella's Tattle ability for that area, like seen later in the video. You can see a very tiny bit of her ponytail at the top left part of the rock to the left of Mario.
I can't really see the bit of Goombella's ponytail, but you said it's an extremely tiny bit, so I'll take your word for it.
Its not its just saying they're not spoiling the rest of the game and to wait for the game release. This is just the demo saying this is all you can do and you can't move forward from here
the sarge Bob-ob looks cool said he got cut. *pouring a cold one for the fallen*

Oh, wait that's Kirby.
@@GabePuratekutakevin? Is that you?
"Oh man i cant wait to play P A P E R M A R I O 2"
About 16:50; I believe the hp plus badge was swapped out for the “hook tail” key in the first part of the castle.
6:35 What a different world we would be in if X-Nauts were called Boomer Gangers
So hype for That Thousand years doors remake
Same. I've never played the original but I wanna play the remake
Seeing Paper Mario 2 next to the Tales of Symphonia demo is such a nostalgia trip
It’s been 1000 years since the last paper Mario lost bits released
lol
Just about

The bouncy star animation was used in the E3 2004 trailer build
Interesting
10:55 I can jam to this music for hours
I'd love to see theee old designs come back for the remake
That would be cool
Given that the Japanese word for the Chinese concept of "Tao" is "Dou," in this case "daimu" may possibly have been meant to be "time" as used as a loan word rather than "dime."
You can also find Vivian and Bobbery’s early designs in the remake once you find all the star pieces in the chapter which they join your party!
The "Old Texture" for the shop 1:49 is actually used in the final release for the West Side Goods shop next to the Pianta Parlor. I never noticed it was different until after seeing this video a couple hours ago.
likely a mistake from the devs
It takes me back to when I actually remember playing one of those kiosk demos of TTYD back then. It's how I got into playing Thousand Year Door and I'm glad I got the game
Meanwhile I've never played it. I should really get the remake
4:39 YOU'R TELLING ME THE SWITCH BOX ART WAS ACTUALLY A REUSED PROTOTYPE FOR THE GAMECUBE ONE?!!!
I’m hoping someday to see you cover the Mario and Luigi games since they have a lot of cool things to talk about especially Superstar Saga. Great video BTW
Yea they found the E3 2003 prototype a few months ago
2:13 - wildly out of context line lol
Dude I fucking love goomba shoes
I really hope this video mentions the goomba's shoes
Edit: YEAAAAAAAA
I remember playing this game when I was 4 years old. I'm 24 now and very excited to play it again
Never played TTYD, but considering playing the game now that the remake is coming
Definitely recommend it if you at all like RPGs
That’s what I decided to do! I’ve always wanted to play this game but never could because I didn’t have the right controller. Now I can finally do it. I recommend it. It’s so awesome.
The good ol' days of neck strain to play a 15-minute demo of a game... I miss 'em.
Hell yeah
I always wished Nintendo gave us the ability to play Luigi’s adventure too, we never get to experience what he did, just how he describes the events. Could also mean he never really did it
He glamorized parts of it, but the quest definitely happened. He has a slew of partners to prove it.
Wow a video just in time to eat, thanks!
This video length is 2028.
A sign of us getting an actual good PM game during that year after the remake's release?
Bros letting out his inner matpat
On mobile it’s listed as 20:29
Awesome video! There's also a ton of unused model animation data as well!
Yea it's pretty cool
Last week I wouldn’t stop searching for this because I got back into the lost bits series. And I’m so happy for this. Hopefully there will be one for Super and TOK
the instruction booklet having a beta screenshot reminds me of Twilight Princess on the back of the Wii version shows a beta version with a magic bar!
That's pretty cool, I never knew that
Glad to hear someone else loves Tim Follin's music. I think it's the Pictionary theme, but I'm not sure
ian foomus is lucky that floor was fixed in the trouble center
Look at the unused things in the remake later
That would be cool
I think the key you spoke about theorizing hooktail was actually the key needed when unlocking the door in the west of rogueport during the “find my key” quest. It definitely seems familiar so I think it honestly came from there.
man I remember when I watched the paper Mario 64 video when it came out
Imagine a chapter where Mario was in war working for the military. sigh
5:12 I can still remember my neck pain when playing paper Mario at Walmart while mom did shopping 😂
f in the chat for the soulless goombas
Wait… that yellow thing on Bobberys face is an eye?! I thought it was a nose!!!!!
I thought as a kid it was a mouth and his eyes were covered by the hat visor
Unused Petalburg theme goes too hard...
Nice man I really can't wait for you to do cut content on super paper Mario
i never seen a youtuber this interested in Goombella's shoes before.
1:17 many of us share that sentiment
They removed the goombas soles😐
They removed the goombas
Souls💀
If the changes were drastic between the final release and the demo, I would be inclined to believe they prepared content for the demo well in advance, or decided to have details altered to ensure certain elements were experienced fresh on the first real playthrough.
And you would battle against Prince Mush,
But it was cut in the original due to time constraints.
But then it was added in the remake.
I can't believe this video was uploaded on my birthday
I’d love to see you cover some of the Mario and Luigi games
2:35 the dull bones enemies (or at least the red one) don't seem to have the +1 defense like they do in the final seeing as how mario can deal damage with a jump
They probably had the real name of the game already decided when the demo was made but didnt want to reveal it as its a huge plot point
Could be, but I doubt that though as the thousand year door was shown off in the trailer, so I don't think it was a big secret or anything. It's probably a lot more likely the final name just wasn't finalized - like with Breath of the Wild 2 becoming Tears of the Kingdom

You can use Waluigi's color pallette if you equip both the L and W emblems
This video made me so excited to play the remake! I have my physical preorder and everything, and there is NO way that gets cancelled! Thanks Tetrabitgaming!
Thanks for watching :)
@@TetraBitGaming Thanks for putting out amazing content! I always look forward to your content!
Always liked TTYD and 64 because of the Battle System, and seeing one of my favourite games be remade is a win.
the "goombas have soles" thing is definitely an injoke isnt it

A lot of the unused ost tracks sound better than the used ones.
commenting for engagment, thanks for video
Right as I’m finally going to bed at 7am
I love watching content about games I’ll never own.
15:07 I don’t what it is, but it feels kind of weird to see Paper Mario with a paler appearance here.
I had forgotten to pre order the game. Perfect reminder
It's possible the W badge implies Waluigi would also wear a W insteas of a backwards L
I think that'd be unlikely, at this point Waluigi was already in the series for a few years and in several games with the upside down L!
@@TetraBitGaming oh. I'm not well versed in Mario lore so didn't know
I figured at some point you were going to cover this game
Maybe the music from the demo's title screen will be shown in the next video because I don't why it wasn't mentionned here
Why doe mario have different cap colros in the video ?
I never realized just how much TTYD's sprites were so crusty, even in the final game.
Paper Mario really used to have sole...
I was watching basically the Japanese version of Kit and Krystal and they refer to the Crystal Stars as the Star Stones. I wonder if they changed it because stone sounds cheap.
