Honestly, if I could make anything, I would make Baymax. Not the superhero version that Hiro developed him into, but the original version, the healer. Having robot nurses would do SO much good in the world, relieve so many staffing shortages, heck, donate one each to remote villages with a solar powered station for charging to get medical care to people who normally don't have access to it, or at least not regularly. If the local Baymax isn't able to help someone, he could still notify the closest hospital to get moving so that the patient could get help. Just... Imagine how much good they could do.
Reason there are nursing shortages in hopsitals isn't that there's a llw supply of nurses it's that hospitals don't wanna pay for more nurses. Now I actually like all of these movies (except for Internet for various reasons) and I don't actually think any film in the Disney Animated Canon is flat-out "bad" (except for possibly 2005's Chicken Little), but having grown up in the 90s Disney Renaissance which had a lot of the peak Disney Villains, I do miss the archetype and wish it would go back to being more standard with occasional breaks.
I’m sure another commenter mentioned it but watch the end credit scene. It’s based on a marvel comic so in true fashion they included an end credit scene. One of my favorites! Glad you reacted
I swear watching mellow react to these movies, I never cried before when watching some of these Disney movies but they do tug on my heart to where I want to, so many of these movies bring so much emotion and feeling
Right?! That tiny plot hole always bothered me. It always bugged me when Baymax gave Hiro his data chip, when Tadashi’s chip was taken out shouldn’t Baymax have gone into that red-eyed rage mode? If he took both out wouldn’t he stop working? Only thing in this movie that doesn’t really make sense to me
I think hiro fixed this issue with a little bit of programming in the background of the movie but it wasn't shown on screen and that's why Baymax didn't turn red
It's perfectly possible that Baymax could have internally duplicated the files and transferred a copy to the red chip. Baymax could've wiped the space on the red chip, I bet. He can choose not to let anyone open his access port, he clearly has some control.
After you said Callahan's voice was famiar I started thinking it was too, when I looked up who it was I immediately recognized him as the scientists to ask Sonny to kill him from I, Robot. Funny though since Krei was voiced by Alan Tudyk who also voiced Sonny
This is still my favorite Disney animated film of all time. I love that despite being for kids it didn't perfectly resolve the tragedy of Tadashi's death at the end (i.e. he died as collateral damage, not for some super special secret purpose, and Callaghan got his daughter back when Hiro will never get his brother back). Most kids expect a perfectly happy and balanced conclusion to stories, but this movie didn't do that. It was instead honest about the unfairness of tragedy but sent a message that you can still heal in spite of that. None of us ever get perfect closure for the pain and loss we experience in life, but it doesn't mean we can't find hope somehow. That to me is a more valuable message than one that sugarcoats the messy aspects of life and says that everything will always be "fixed" in the end. Oftentimes there is no perfect fix, it's more helpful to know that you can persevere even when the fixes don't exist
Great memories attached to this movie this one came out while I was on my Disney College Program and I saw it first day in Downtown Disney and went to Hollywood Studios and met Hiro and Baymax fun day!

I absolutely love this movie not only bc of the characters, but also because of the science in it. When I leave school, I want to work of prosthetic limbs. I have so many theories that if they’re successful, will allow the person to still have the sense of touch in the prosthetic and if the right metal is used, it’ll conduct the body heat to be the right temperature, and also hopefully have the same kind of softness as human flesh if someone were to poke or squish it a little.
When I saw Brother bear I got BH6 Flashbacks. 8:34😢 NGL I lost my father 3 years back. I can’t even imagine losing my siblings, I have 3 younger biological and 1 half older brother.
Brilliance of this film is. They use the "It's not Personal it's Business" Film Trope, literally the most common trope even more common than the "Evil Empire" or "Heroes Journey" Trope. But this yes this trope to trick the viewer in thinking the business man is the villain in actuality that isn't the case. Most of the film you're lead to believe it's "Lord Business" and you generally accept it without question because we've been so heavily conditioned to despise Business men.
Callahan invented the servos that Hiro used in his battle bot, but they didn't have anything to do with Hiro's microbots. Although, I'll give you that Callahan would still be more likely than Krei to be able to reverse engineer and mass produce the microbots without any blueprints. By the way, you missed the end credit scene with the obligatory Stan Lee cameo, since this is technically a Marvel property (which means maybe Spider-man does exist in their universe).
I literally just put this movie on because the family has been in a very bad mood today, then I get this notification and I will say, Disney actually did pretty well making a CG-animated film with the feel and style of an anime. They really captured the feel of urban Japan and modern Japanese culture, and also the vibe of San Francisco as a whole really well. (and you cant tell me the island facility doesnt look like Alcatraz)
I’m not a dude who typically cries at Disney movies but holy fuck every time I see the “tadashi is gone!” Line it makes me sob like a baby. I can’t help but see my own baby brother in hero and it makes that scene such a gut punch.
"Yeah! The firefighters, not you!" I love this movie so much. I think my one complaint is, maybe we could not glorify running back into burning buildings if you don’t have the training or equipment...? Just a thought...
Man you almost tripped me up with that Incredibles vs this movie question. I'd go with this though and while 'The Incredibles' is so nostalgia heavy to me and still a great film it just doesn't have the emotional beats that this movie has on top of the action. Now the powers and action in this don't come close but all around Big Hero 6 is a great film it definitely had me tearing up when I first watched it in theaters.
This just made me think of a movie that i think you might be interested in watching i dont think its made by any of the big 3, but i cant remember. All i know is this movie is called Astro Boy, and ive loved it since the very first time i watched it at my cousins house.

That's a good question, this movie or Incredibles. I think I'd have to go Big Hero Six. They are both great movies but BH6 definitely packs a more emotional punch.
Even though i had guessed the villain was Callahan, I had kind of hoped it was Tadashi, that he had faked his death to steal the micro bots for his own plans regardless of the fact that he was putting Hiro in danger. I knew that was a lot to ask of a Disney movie, but i hoped.
I hold this movie in the same regards as frozen. Frozen is a great example of someone living with anxiety and coming to terms with it. This movie shows depression and coming to terms with sorrow/loss.
I love this movie. Hope it gets a sequel one day. Canonically in Big Hero 6 The Series the Baymax at the end is technically a different Baymax with the memories of the original. Later proven in a later episode with his original body in tact in the space dimension. Though the original Baymax does come back in Kingdom Hearts 3 albeit not canon.

It's not that the movie was obvious with the twist, it's just that we've become more aware of the patterns that come before the twist and are able to identify them now.

James Cromwell was actor for Callaghan, among his former roles was the rancher from Babe.
they actually have a tv show of this different art style but same voice actors
Tadashi and hiro brother relationship was loosely based off the brothers from the movie “stand by me” good watch you should check it out
I literally just put this movie on because the family has been in a very bad mood today, then I get this notification
and I will say, Disney actually did pretty well making a CG-animated film with the feel and style of an anime.
You gotta notice that if Callahan didn't do what he did, his daughter wouldn't have been rescued
"Yeah! The firefighters, not you!"
I love this movie so much.
Baymax Was My Childhood
I loved the hell out of this movie when it came out
Big hero 6 Percy Jackson the lighting theif and real steel are absolute bangers more people need to get on these
This just made me think of a movie that i think you might be interested in watching i dont think its made by any of the big 3, but i cant remember. All i know is this movie is called Astro Boy, and ive loved it since the very first time i watched it at my cousins house.
This film was awesome. It's like a Marvel movie 🔥
It technically is. Disney licensed the property from Marvel.
And that cameo in the after credits too lol
Man glad to see you laughing and enjoying the movie!!
So happy to see this reaction. I love this movie so much becuase I experienced so much loss in life and this really treats the idea with care. Wish i could have gotten your end credit reaction tho 😂 still an amazing reaction. Love your content 🤌🤌
watched it on looo on my 12 hours flight when I used to go to Japan regularly 😂😂😂😂 It was my plane movie
They did make a tv show where they stop villains in the city. I’ve seen a few episodes, it’s pretty good
Do you know they continued this storyline with a TV show i’m not saying you have to watch it I’m just telling you you can probably watch on your own time if you want
And the stuff in Kingdom Hearts 3 is confirmed to be cannon.
You need to watch the Big Hero 6 cartoon that came out a few years after this movie was made.
THERE'S A CARTOON?!
@@Epodmusic17: Yes there was. It takes place after the events of the movie where the group continues to fight crime in the city. Most of the original voice actors return for it & while it didn't last long it was a decent continuation of the story.
@@jessetorres8738 It lasted 3 seasons. That's a decent length for a cartoon series, especially one made by Disney.
Theres 2 big hero six the series and baymax
@@Epodmusic17
James Cromwell is Callahan
I remember when this movie came out, people were freaking saying Baymax and Cryaotic were similar with their looks, happy to say Baymax is waaaaaay better
When I first time watching Big hero 6, I also cried, it's just so touching and I really feel bad for Hiro to gone through many things. Hiro, GoGo( Yellow suit) and Baymax are my favorite characters. I really wanna be like GoGo, she's really cool!!! Overall, the story is amazing and that's what makes me a fan of Big hero 6😆
So that wasn’t an explosion it was a backdraft 8:36 oxygen entered the school at high speeds when everybody opened the doors to run out and it took a minute to all reach the source of the fire
Please, watch Soul!!!!! It's a beaautiful animation!!!!! Crying guaranteed!!!
There's an entire animated series that already continues the story. Why does it need a sequel beyond that?
@@Compucles Because they haven't met Abbott & Costello yet.
There actually is an animated series and some shorts! I think they’re really good and there a ton of development for the characters!
I wish people could at least try to make a real robot like Baymax. It would have helped so many people. 😔💔
i wished this movie got a sequel
Well, it kind of does have one in the form of a 3-season cartoon series, "Big Hero 6: The Series." It's pretty good.
@@Compucles I've only watched the Baymax Disney+ Mini-Series
Damn the consistency is crazy!!
I love this film so much. Hopefully Disney makes more animated superhero films--maybe a musical next time.
Well, they could always make a film version of *Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.*
@@oliverbrownlow5615 As someone tired of Spiderman, I'm gonna give a heavy "no"--and I'd prefer original songs rather than taking them from somewhere else. I'd enjoy something original, or a lesser-known Marvel product like BH6. Or something INFLUENCED by a popular comic, ie X-Men.
heyy this reaction was fire love you mell.
Nice man keep up the good work
Ah man, you missed the end credits scene 😢
Awesome reaction of my favorite Disney superhero movie!!!!😊😊😊😊
Never thought i could cry for a robot
21:17 I can see why that would be your favorite suit
If Bamax did do what you said it would just flip them around
Also there is a tv series of this movie
The guy you're talking about is james Cromwell
this is a marvel movie if you didn’t know. Stan lee is the guy on the portrait in Fred’s house!
Oooooooh I clicked on this video KNOWING I'M ABOUT TO SEE A POOL OF TEARS
There was a post credit scene (with a cameo) it is a Disney superhero movie afterall.
My personal fav modern Disney film. I really wish they can make an official sequel.
Just watch the official animated series instead. It's pretty good.
@@Compucles oh I have and it’s pretty good. It’s the closest thing we have to a sequel lol
24:25 Thteres actually a series on Disney plus, it’s about 3 seasons long
You dont have to pick between them Big Hero 6 isnt a Pixar movie its a straight Disney movie.
I’d definitely have gogo’s suit
It's not that the movie was obvious with the twist, it's just that we've become more aware of the patterns that come before the twist and are able to identify them now.
That's a good question!!!! I'd still say The Incredibles because that soundtrack is naaaasty. And it doesn't make me cry as much 😂
You forgot the end credit scene! It’s a marvel movie
this will always be my favorite movie lol
I found myself saying, when i saw this in the cinema, "If they kill that robot i'm going after someone at disney"
