My favorite tidbit is that because it’s Marvel, it crosses over with other movies. In the second Avengers (…Ultron) when Tony is picking a new interface for his suits, a chip named after and programmed by Tadashi is seen as an option

@@patelammaar7877 oh yeah I knew that already. Big Hero 6 is based on a Marvel comic series. I just never noticed before where it was labeled Tadashi in Age of Ultron.
Sad fact: at 35:00 you can see that Hiro didn’t see Baymax when Baymax sacrificed himself, but instead he saw Tadashi. This just reflects that Baymax wasn’t a robot or even a friend, Hiro saw him as a part of Tadashi. Which means that to Hiro, it was like seeing Tadashi die all over again. And even more ironic, they died the same way: they both sacrificed themselves to save another, they died as heroes
Maybe I'm just blind but I didn't see that. Unless you're talking metaphorically, and that he saw Baymax as being apart of Tadashi, like he's losing the last piece of his brother
@@HelTra91actually if you look in the reflection of Hiro's eyes at that moment you actually notice Tadashi's reflection instead of Baymax. Its a really small detail but if youre careful you can spot it.

Tadashi's death and video message had me sobbing like a child. Couldn't imagine losing my brother. Loved this movie, to bad Frozen left it in its shadow.
I see a lot of reactions showcase Hiro's arc, Baymax, the action, the team, and rightfully so. But also feels like in a lot of them, the dynamic with the whole Hamada clan especially Cass goes to the wayside a bit. Which is what makes this reaction a pleasant surprise to me because it doesn't skimp out on that part, and it reminds me why I love Aunt Cass as a character. Her and Tadashi having the exact same reaction to Hiro in the beginning and really that entire interaction between the three of them is such gold in terms of wholesome family writing. Tadashi is a real one all the way until the fire and even beyond, but Cass is such a lovable sweetheart all the way through.
One thing you guys didn’t touch on was the depiction of the cycle of revenge. Hiro is the hero of the story and so you don’t necessarily see his revenge quest as bad, but Callaghan was also seeking revenge for his loss and was the villain. When Hiro saw his own journey depicted in the villain is when he realized that revenge wasn’t the answer. It’s a really interesting dichotomy that they chose.
Hiros path of revenge is presented as a part of the frief-- he found what took his brother away and he wants to hurt that person. But Callaghan was the same. He saw Cray, the person who took his daughter, and wanted to hurt him. The difference though is, once Hiro was able to gain perspective, he was able to understand Callaghan and fight him THAT way, instead of wanting to ""neutralize"" him. He could empathize with him, instead of seeking revenge. What Callaghan did was wrong. He killed another person (albeit unintended) in order to hurt someone who he thought killed his child. Hiro is no different. But the difference between the two arcs is, Hiro had people who supported him. It seemed like Callaghan was on his own (from what we see anyway) and so he had no one to support him. All his focus went into revenge.
"Tadashi is here." Yes, he left a part of him in Baymax. That's why he has always been there with Hiro. :') Another one I just realized: it is so important to express yourself when you're hurting. Losing someone can make you feel numb and it seems like nothing matters anymore that you just shut the world out. But by simply saying "ow," Baymax was able to help Hiro and be there for him. There is nothing wrong with being vulnerable.

Fun fact: this movie was loosely based off a lesser-known Marvel comic. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Tony Stark has an AI chip labeled "Tadashi" that some fans believed was a nod to this movie Anyway I'm glad you reacted to this one, it's my favorite animated Disney movie and one of the best films that deals with the concept of grief and tragedy. One of my favorite aspects of it is how honest it is about how unfair tragedy is and how more often than not you'll have to find a way to heal without the situation being perfectly "fixed." Hiro gets Baymax back but being the bigger man and helping Abigail doesn't earn him a magic ending that erases Tadashi's loss. It was especially gutsy for a family film since kids usually expect a perfect solution at the end of a story that makes everything better. It does such a good job of showing the younger audience members the reality that life usually doesn't have fairy tale endings while still reassuring them that there is hope despite that
I remember my son asking me why didn’t Baymax just tell him you can make a new robot with the card. But I thought about and remembered that Hiro never healed from Tadashi passing. This helped him make peace that Tadashi is gine and he had to move on. Only then he was able to see the card and bring back Baymax. 😢
This is really an amazing and powerful movie. It had no right to be as emotionally devastating as it was! One of the details I love is that the micro-bots arrange themselves so drastically differently between when Hrio and Callahan control them. With Hiro, they are very geometrically arranged, but when Callahan is controlling them with his rage guiding him, they are so... jagged and almost more organic. It is a wonderful little detail, which informs so much about the minds behind the machines. Also, Honey Lemon's control on the bag is literally _just_ a periodic table. So, she's composing each one of those compounds on the spot every time. She is a chemical genius.
Around the time my son was about 15 years old, he was failing school and not doing well, in spite of the fact that he was a brilliant individual. I was attending college at that time, working towards a degree and taking art classes and a fulltime college schedule. So, over summer classes, while my son was out of school, I took him with me to my classes. Of course, I asked my instructors for permission first to have my son audit the courses. I was also able to get several to give him feedback on his work in class. Out of this, he suddenly saw the value of applying himself in his high school classes. He had been bored; it turned out he was too smart for the instruction level. So here was a 15yr-old excelling in college-level English Literature and demonstrating giftedness in our oil painting class and getting appreciative feedback from college instructors. Sometimes you just have to give a kid, especially a smart kid, a peek at what could lie ahead for him.

Its been literal years since I last watchrd this movie, and still i simply cannot get through Hiro's loss of Tadashi without completely breaking down in tears. I have a super close bond with my sister, and the idea of losing a sibling like the way the loss of Tadashi is portrayed my heart just can't even fathom the agony that would be. This movie has such a fantastic balance of portraying real, impactful loss and bakancing it with lighthearted humour and healing. Truly absolutely such a fantastic movie.
Re. The bad guy having gone through loss. Hiro also goes there when he finds out his brother was "betrayed". He wants the guy destroyed. Except he has friends and a connection to his brother's memory. The "villain" does not have that, so as Oak says the villain is just like our hero, just has nobody to help him.
@17:19 "That Darn Cat" is apparently a movie, I didn't know that until I switched my name on a few things to The Darn Cat and I had to hear about that movie A LOT for a few months. [Solo]

I love this movie so much, for me it was the perfect blend of action, comedy, and emotional moments. It had some (imo) realistic portray of people trying to cope with loss but still with that feel-good Disney ending. So glad you guys liked it! Also, just wanted to say that I'm so happy I stumbled across you guy's channel a while ago bc you have some of the most thoughtful and insightful reactions that I truly enjoy, especially bc you guys always catch the little details & nuances. I have been watching a lot of random reaction videos for a long time but you guys' were the first channel I just HAD to subscribe to, and I did it immediately after just one video! Thank you for making such awesome content, never fails to brighten my day :)
i love the scene where Tadashi brought Hiro to his college. My mom was a lecturer in a local university and as the youngest child, I was often brought to her classes and office room after school. Sometimes she'd just let me wander around the building and I'd interact with the students and other staff (they often gave me sweets). I remember trying to walk into the library but couldn't because I need a student ID. Obviously it's because kids aren't allowed in a place students and researchers work, but that's what they told me as a kid. So I, literally like Hiro, was heavily inspired by the whole academia world that I pursued higher education, might go for PhD in a near future. Whenever anyone ask why I chose what I do, I always say it's because of my mom, and it's not just a filial piety. So yeah parents, keep in mind that your children observe you all the time. Show them what you wish them to be instead of telling them to.
i really hope Oak is alright! he seems so tired and maybe sad during this one - absolutely no hate just hoping everything is okay. much love guys, another great movie and another great reaction to it!

A fun Easter egg: the statue Baymax destroys when he's trying his weapons is of Prince Hans from Frozen, so apparently Fred is a descendant of that little rascal.
Absolutely loved this one, real emotions right at the start. Great story and arcs. Love when he said more money than any 14 year old can imagine. Because with that brain at 14 he could probably imagine an insane amount of money. Also love aunt Cass! Really a woman trying to do her best for her nephews, than to have one die that young on her care. Just really love her character. Like the mom of the best friend you had as a kid
Love the reaction guys! Big Hero 6 is one of my favorite movies! I haven’t heard anything about a sequel but on Disney+ they have a mini Baymax series that’s just great!

Big Hero is one of my favorite films, and my favorite Disney movie. It's very close to my heart. I'm glad you guys reacted to it! It's a film I've watched over and over again and cried every time... including this time watching you watching it. XD
Speaking of Alan Tudyk, you guys should add Firefly and then Serenity to your list as he’s a main character in the show. There’s not much to watch as the show got canceled after one season, though the movie Serenity is kinda the proper send-off of the show since it got canceled so early and had a lot of unresolved stuff. It’s a bit of a cult classic and it shows its age at this point but I still enjoy the hell out of it. It’s like a sci-fi space western type of setting and has some really enjoyable characters.
I love that you guys reacted to this movie i love Big hero 6, but i never realized how many movies there are with epic learning to fly scenes till watching your reactions - how to train your dragon, avatar, big hero 6

Baymax is something different, because he cares about people's health, a life-long friend, and a Great Hero🙏👍 Your reactions are so nice ,that I watch every nice movie with you guys🤩!
I haven't even watched the reaction yet but I'm gonna predict big emotions from you guys 💜😂 *Edit:* I think Callaghan and Hiro mirror one another. Callaghan lost someone and had to focus on hatred to *survive* depression. Hiro also loses someone and begins to focus on finding who killed his brother. But unlike Callaghan, Hiro has Baymax; Baymax met Hiro just in time and began taking care of him. When Hiro faces Callaghan he gives in to the same hatred. But Baymax connect him with his friends and they help Hiro. Hiro gets to move forward in life, unlike Callaghan, who couldn't be properly helped. Because we know he was probably a good father. We can't really blame him for doing what his instincts as a parent says he needs to do. Or our brain doing what it needs to do to survive. But with the proper care, people, and time you can heal. And that's what Tadashi was trying to do. He was trying to heal *everyone*. He wanted *everyone* to have a baymax. And I think that's a beautiful message. One I think Hiro understands and will continue.
Yay!! I recommended this to you a couple times. Is such an underrated film. It's so good! It just came out during Frozen hype. So was overshadowed by that a bit. My kids and I love it. We also love the baymax shorts series they did that's about 6 short episodes. Very cute and funny watch about baymax's life after this film
hitting ya with the feels right away with him losing his brother 😥& agree that Baymax stole the show! sucha cute character!. Story started off emotional, but turned into a kinda superhero movie "There are no red lights in a car chase!" haha & glad Baymax wasn't gone for good at the end there **phew!** quite a heavy theme for animated film aimed at kids, but they did in a nice, subtle way of how to deal with loss of a loved one.
This movie reminds me when my little brother would get in trouble. Me: Are you hurt? Brother: No Me again hitting his shoulder: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!!????
So glad you watched it, finally! I dont know how it is to loose a mom or sister, but a life without my sister is for me imaginable, not that I dont love my mother because I do but my sister is almo my best friend. To this day, I will never do a fistbump without following it with a "bada-lada-lada-la".
I love this movie. I cry every time I watch. They followed this up with a television show. Meet the Robinsons is another excellent animated film.
I love that the oak still has the Harry Potter stuff
Why didn't this movie ever get a sequel...they could have churned out so many movies based on this team...i freaking loved this movie
honestly, i have no idea but im not sure if its rights issue or something...
They did make a series about it. Season 1 I think is the best, mainly due to the villain
Technically KH3 is the sequel
Many of Disney and DreamWorks movies are underrated such as BH6, Rise of the guardians, legend of the guardians, Atlantis, Treasure Planet.
@@Tooba-K123 isnt Big Hero a Disney movie?
@17:19 "That Darn Cat" is apparently a movie, I didn't know that until I switched my name
on a few things to The Darn Cat and I had to hear about that movie A LOT for a few months.

I started watching you guys' videos and now I can't stop lol! You each provide a unique and thoughtful perspective, and you make such a great team that's so fun to watch! I love y'all's videos, and thank you for them!
Thank you for making such awesome content, never fails to brighten my day :)
can’t believe the baymax unplugged himself scene still tears me apart🥲
Omg, I LOVE this movie!! Even though it broke my heart when i was younger 😅
Finally!! I've been waiting for this since you put the poster a month ago! This movie is so underrated, I wish more people would give its laurels.
Never expected a movie about a big fluffy non-sentient robot to hit me in the feels so hard
The Baymax Rampage is arguably the best scene in the movie because god DAMN is it just all the right kinds of terrifying.
i love the scene where Tadashi brought Hiro to his college.
He was up all night prior with his son.😬
@@BaddMedicine aww! poor bloke! at least he's alright though - i was worried he might be feeling ill 🖤
All good just a late night and caffeine didn't help 😁😂
I’m so glad you reacted to this movie, when I was younger this was mine and my dad’s favourite film. He and I don’t talk anymore but watching this video makes me feel like I’m watching it with him all over again. So thank you again! ❤
You guys making some great picks lately
A fun Easter egg: the statue Baymax destroys when he's trying his weapons is of Prince Hans from Frozen, so apparently Fred is a descendant of that little rascal.
Baymax is the most iconic character ever! I love your reaction to this movie.
A core memory of mine was showing my (then 4/5 year old) niece this movie, then teaching her the Baymax Fistbump
You guys never fail to deliver 🎉❤
Look forward to each of your content everyday 🙌🏼
Absolutely loved this one, real emotions right at the start. Great story and arcs.
Love when he said more money than any 14 year old can imagine. Because with that brain at 14 he could probably imagine an insane amount of money.
Also love aunt Cass! Really a woman trying to do her best for her nephews, than to have one die that young on her care. Just really love her character. Like the mom of the best friend you had as a kid
Love the reaction guys! Big Hero 6 is one of my favorite movies! I haven’t heard anything about a sequel but on Disney+ they have a mini Baymax series that’s just great!
I had a bunch of points for free movies and took my mother and siblings to see this movie in the cinema...... It was the greatest decision ever...... Instantly became one of my all-time favourites.
LOVE IT been waitin for this reaction! ❤️
I love all the big drama & comedy of the storyline, but somehow my favorite comedy bit is Baymax cuddling the cat & saying "Hairy baby!"
Big Hero is one of my favorite films, and my favorite Disney movie. It's very close to my heart. I'm glad you guys reacted to it! It's a film I've watched over and over again and cried every time... including this time watching you watching it. XD
the intro w/the fighting robots made me want you guys to see Real Steel with Hugh Jackman, used to watch this all the time as a kid
Oh!!! This is new? I thought I've seen this reaction.
Yay i love baymax too!!!
I love that you guys reacted to this movie i love Big hero 6, but i never realized how many movies there are with epic learning to fly scenes till watching your reactions - how to train your dragon, avatar, big hero 6
You guys are my favorite reaction channel, such a good diversity of movies! i'm so happy you watched this one, it's for sure one of my favorites
Idk if you guys noticed it, but during the team's jumpscare by the bird, Baymax was busy turning around.
I’ve seen this movie millions of times but I’ve never realized that 😭
@@rx_shade Still funny
I never thought Pixar could make me cry over some marshmallow robot…but here I am 😭
I feel privileged that, as a Patreon patron who watched the full length, i got to witness the loudest page flip in movie reacting history 😉
Lost my cousin to cancer, him and his twin used to do the "palalala" fist bump. This was the last movie we watched together and it was very therapeutic to rewatch years later. This movie showcases grief so well.
This channel needs MORE subs. Best reaction channel on youtube. All you guys are a very good team together watching all these movies and series. the last 2 weeks i think i watched like 15-20 of your videos since i found the channel and i like it!
Yaaay, this is a good one. Baymax has such a fun personality.
It's so great how many videos yall are cranking out!
Dave, you da man!
🤘
Big Hero 6 is such a great movie! Can't wait to watch your reaction to it right now. By the way, have yall seen Onward? I think you all would love it lol.
The way I couldn’t wait to get off of work to watch you guys react to Baymax 🤍 Baymax is absolutely amazing and it’s one of my favorite. It toke me on a rollercoaster of emotions. It brings out the stages of grief. Tadashi death broke me I love how they made the movie. ❤ love your reactions I was playing close attention to Oaks 😊
I remember seeing this movie in theaters. This was the first Disney movie after Frozen, and I remember this being underrated because of it.
I was actually thinking about this movie the other day and was so happy when I saw that you uploaded this!
Easily the best reaction channel in the youtubosphere, love every reaction you guys do. Another animated movie you guys might enjoy is Zootopia if you haven't already. Keep up the great work, you guys are the best!
One of my favorite Disney movies ever! Also playing Kingdom Hearts 3 made me love Big Hero 6 even more
only just clicked on to watch and already looking forward to Oak's reflections XD
I love this one. Seeing his brother I’ve on in his creation always makes me sob.
Still hoping you guys will get to good omens and the good place.
Baymax is something different, because he cares about people's health, a life-long friend, and a Great Hero🙏👍
Your reactions are so nice ,that I watch every nice movie with you guys🤩!
I haven't even watched the reaction yet but I'm gonna predict big emotions from you guys 💜😂
*Edit:* I think Callaghan and Hiro mirror one another.
Me and my little brother used to watch this movie all the time. So it brings back lots of good memories.
OMG YESS! I had a really bad day and I'm sure this will cheer me up. Thanks guys
Watching Oak fight sleep was hilarious.. man i love Oak..
Yay!! I recommended this to you a couple times. Is such an underrated film. It's so good! It just came out during Frozen hype. So was overshadowed by that a bit. My kids and I love it. We also love the baymax shorts series they did that's about 6 short episodes. Very cute and funny watch about baymax's life after this film
one of my favorite movies of all time
hitting ya with the feels right away with him losing his brother 😥& agree that Baymax stole the show! sucha cute character!.
Brother: No
Me again hitting his shoulder: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!!????
So glad you watched it, finally! I dont know how it is to loose a mom or sister, but a life without my sister is for me imaginable, not that I dont love my mother because I do but my sister is almo my best friend.
Its one of my faves of Disney its a really special one. So many topics!!!
Im glad you enjoyed it and as always a delight watching you guys!!
Greetings and love from Spain!!
I'd love to see you guys react to more animated movies! Like Atlantis, Emperor's New Groove, Spirit The Stallion, Sinbad Legend of the Seven seas, and El Dorado! They are incredible and I'm sure you'll love them!
Oooh I totally agree, especially Emperor’s New Groove!!
OMG, I was one of the people that ask for this film, I waited so long for this
Baymax got a Disney plus tv show - Baymax! - 6 episodes (shorts ~ 15 minutes )
there is a show that follows up this movie and it really has great closure for the whole story at the end of it.
Really wish there was a second one of these. (Not just the miniseries)
thank you for the reaction,
just for information, that the first time I saw this movie was when I was still a college student and now I am a kind of engineer. damn time flies so fast.
That moment when you realize the Big Hero 6 characters are essentially The Avengers.
The moment you realize the big hero 6 is based on marvel comics and potentially could appear in mcu
