BCIT Project Course - LEGO Robot Challenge - Got Beer

  • This is a team project completed for my CST program at BCIT in 2011. We had to build and program a LEGO NXT robot that would complete a variety of missions on a playing field. Our team was called "Got Beer" and our robot's name was Carl.
    The missions we did are as follows:
    1: return the 3 cubes to the base.
    2: push the truck on to the lift and trigger it to lift off the ground.
    3:Drop the "medicine" (the ball) into the patient's "arm" (the long object in the large circle).
    4:Detach the "nano-tip" (separate two magnetic pieces from eachother).
    5: Trigger the "self-assembler" (an alignment of weighted lego pieces).
    6: Lower the solar-panels of the satellite.
    Some of these missions require a return to either one of two bases. Others do not.
    There were many more missions to try, but a limited time with which to work (3 minutes). Unfortunately, we lost time because we had to rescue the robot when its arm got stuck at about 1:00 into the video.

    Dont forget to take the sensor off!

    @breadtruck1978 It's important that the sensor be removed. Wouldn't want to sense anything obscene.

    OMG there was a girl in your set?
