      a way to fix the "meta scout statcard" could also be fixed with a ranked mode, but for some reason both the snail and the com of wt has mad ladder anxiety sadly :( more fairplay matches would be sick.

    Enduring confrontation in Air RB should become a weekly reminder to the snail, would make for a much more fun gamemode rather than the current mess we call realistic battles today.

      War thunder needs more game modes, this would be one that would build the roster while providing a nice in between experience for people who enjoy sim but want something more casual. It would also provide a space where bombers, cas and interdictor aircraft can flourish.
      The way I see it, EC is the equivalent of conquest game modes in other games like battlefield, whereas air realistic is effectively the deathmatch equivalent.
      They can serve along side eachother as they do in battlefield for example. And it can only benefit the game.

      Air RB EC used to be a thing years ago, back when the top tier was mig15 and f86. I don't know why they stopped doing it.

    Also about the crew lock, there are times where gaijins terrible servers cause you to lose connection and boot you off your match and then the game has the audacity to lock your lineup/vehicle for 9 minutes.

      Realistically speaking, it's annoying but happens so rarely, just play a match with another nation. I always play well when i get forced out of the main grind

      Also during crewlock you can't change gamemmodes (air/ground/ship), vehicles, etc. which is annoying if you don't want to go with another nation into battle while you wait for it

      @@jacknickolstine3355 i have also been running into this problem a lot lately this happened during the obj 292 event and now its happening during the f14 event idk if the events are related but during events connection issues are more frequent up to the point it becomes unplayable

    Yeah, I got one thing you can add. For lowering or raising gears, we can only map a key for toggling. For flaps, we can map one key for up, and one for down. All toggleable functions like sas-mode, air brakes, weapon selection, radar scope and range, etc. All those functions got a single key for change or cycle. But I have a button box with a flip switch, where up could be gears up, and down could be gears down. Please gajin, make controls mappable with more kinds of switches in mind, because I really want to build myself a cockpit for sim, and none of my friends I play with want to join me in trying out DCS. So I would love a more expanded control mapping for War Thunder.

      You can map 2 separate keys for flaps to go up or down. I have 1 for flaps up to the next position and one down for the next position. It’s really useful especially if you get into an unfortunate situation where you lose all energy trying to avoid dying to 4 different players chasing after you

      I'd like to do this to get into sim, but for whatever dumb reason when I import new control schemes my game crashes far more often despite implementing fixes.

      YES! I have several dedicated up/down switches for gear/flaps on my HOTAS and I can't use them cause WT expects a single toggle button. They could just model the control setup from IL2 and it would be a massive improvement

    Your complaint with modern vehicles having later models added first is something that's bugged me, as well!
    It feels like Gaijin will do that a lot (F-4C/F-4E, F-15A/F-15C, F-111A, A-10A, F-8C/F-8E, F-16A/F-16C), but then outright ignore it for other stuff (F-4J but no F-4B, early A-4 but no later TT model, Harrier GR.7 and US Harrier II).
    I've seen people complain whenever I bring up the fact that an early A-model Hornet is not only justifiable but outright VIABLE as the first version in-game, because "it doesn't get AMRAAMs" or "it's underpowered". That's the point to having an INITIAL version!

      I agree with most of that but the f-4B I'm not being funny but that thing should be a event Vic or jsut come at the end of the game as a line up filler, it would be so bad that it would have to be 10.0 or below and even then it would cause more issues around that br being a slightly better f-104

      @@r6sm043 or they could just give the f4c actual weaponry, aim7e2 and aim9j at least. and flares. which all was carried irl. if they didnt add countermeasures it would still be able to stay at its own br imo, due to it just being so fucking outclassed in every metric.
      f4b would be a good candidate for the f4c's current loadout

    So, idk if how many people agree with this, but imo the biggest problem with the game is just the lack of game mode variety. Basically everything boils down to team deathmatch. It gets a little old. Even something as simple as adding back destroyable airfields as a win condition (or maybe a bunker or something for ground RB) could go a long way i think.

    As an owner of the MFG Tornado i fully support the addition of Maps with Ships on them, but i would add taht it should be modern ships on these maps. the Kormoran on the rare oppertunitiys when they actually track and hit their target have big problems damaging these WWII era ships with all their armor.

    grinding ground units really is quite awful, at some point you just hit a literal wall and feel like you're going nowhere.

      I don’t understand this issue. It takes much less time to get a new vehicle in ground than air or naval. I don’t even have premium yet I’ve never thought the grind was too slow.

      I hit that wall and stopped playing. Best decision of my life. I return from time to time, but only for 1-2 matches before I uninstall again.

    3:20 is like to mention as an OCE player there is an Oceana server, but you can’t see it when selecting servers, only when you set the server to automatic and I don’t know why.

    I have a suggestion. There's an option to grind helis with ground vehicles. I would like to propose the same to planes. For someone like me, who mainly plays ground and can't git gud at the air battles shouldn't be forced to play arcade or Assault gamemode if they already reached top tier in Ground RB. Or use helicopters to grind planes, that would be fine as well

      Mine is the exact opposite, I've grinded to top tier air but it's taking so much time to grind ground units, and since I've unlocked everything in the air tree the RP I get goes nowhere

      I’m gonna be honest, if you aren’t able to grind planes because you aren’t good at air combat. I doubt going higher in tier without the experience will make it any better for you

      They should just make air to air kills in ground RB give the same rewards as they do in air RB. Right now they give a fraction of the amount, but by fixing the rewards people still get rewarded for doing well in dogfights, whilst people who aren't good in planes have a motivation to improve. This would also encourage players to hunt CAS for easy kills. Win-win

    Gripe whenever you want! I enjoy this type of video- you generally have well thought out suggestions and sometimes even point out issues with the game I hadn't previously considered. It's not the kind of video I'm going to sit and watch, but it's absolutely premium headphone/spare monitor content.

    How about.... The more vehicles you have in a lineup the more you will get rewards (if you use them of course). But I'm asking impossible from Gaijin to reward and not punish.

      That's ... something worth further discussion. Some kind of a multiplier for how many times you spawned in.

      Yeah, a small multiplier added (like +10/20/30% per vehicle spawn or something) is a really good incentive! VERY good suggestion!

    I really like the point about ground RB rewards Tim, there’s nothing more frustrating and unsatisfying than killing 5-10 players and maybe having a few caps or assists and being rewarded with a measly 9k rp in the end. It is so annoying to grind and at higher tiers there’s no other word than brutal to describe progression, I can’t imagine what f2p people go through just for a single tank

      I recently started playing ground again with my friend as f2p and getting the m60 is torture I've spent like 5 days getting it and I still have 45k left

      Ground rb research is just straight up painful. Having to grind 400k research in ground takes literal days.

    I agree with the smaller teams immensely, trying to balance staying alive and also getting kills is almost impossible for me due to the Fox 3 spam. The times where ive gotten smaller matches have been the best, I can properly dogfight in the F-16 without getting destroyed instantly by a fox 3 being launched 10km away.
    Loved the takes in the video and I hope that the snail implements most of them!

      Even in lower teir matches, smaller team sizes is interesting. The He-162 actually excels at the 6 v 6 "meta" that 6.0 has devolved into. It lets it deal with things easier without needing to deal with getting jumped by some random 7th or more when you need to play it a certain way.

    As a Naval player, I wish to pass along my wish that they take the time to evaluate the aircraft BR in naval game modes so we can finally decompress from 7.0 hellscape. Also, I was made aware that WT Mobile put missile cruisers after battleships and I want them to *really* reconsider and place all the more modern ships into their own gamemode and make late-WW2 battleships the top tier for the "standard" naval battles.

      @@vincentpanicucci9118 Assuming you mean like early coastal/bluewater, yeah not many people play them since there's not much appeal there in general. All the naval nerds tend to hang in mid-top tiers, so 5.7+

    Hey Tim, I've already made a forum post about this, and even many others have done this, yet its still being ignored, console Cockpit HMD is completely broken, unusable broken, it won't show up when looking around, and this is mostly happened with top tier nato Jets.
    (I'm on a PS5)

      Cockpit HMD also seems to be broken in VR, at least last I checked (which, to be fair, was a while ago, but I also saw nothing in patch notes saying they fixed it)

      Yeah... I have seen this on xbox too.
      So not only is HMD stuff temperamental and barely there... it's not functional on PS5 and Xbox (series S in my case)

    A couple that Ive submitted the past 2 years when they ask for feedback:
    First, There really needs to be some form of uptier protection or at least increased rewards for playing in full uptiers. Getting full or 0.7 uptier over and over and over again is so disheartening and makes playing brs that are prone to them like 5.0 so awful.
    Second, There is no reason why 3D decorations (especially bushes) shouldnt be toggleable like ahistorical camos and decals already are

    8:48 that also applies for missiles. I mean I can always lock a tiny r-60m (that obviously has lower cross-section than the F-22) from 999999999km but sometimes cant lock a gigantic F-4 in headon from 10km using HMD. It should work like this on PDV radars that prioritise targets with the fastest radial speed (aka closing speed) in searching area but it absolutely shouldn’t work with regular PD radars that prioritise targets by the power of reflected waves (aka radar signatures)

    Another idea you could suggest as well Tim is a repair priority/selection system that allows the players to choose what components we want to repair first over others.
    For example:
    I'm in ground rb, and I get my track, engine, and breech or barrel taken out. The game automatically repairs the tracks and engine first, and the main gun last. I would prefer to have my main gun repaired first in case someone decides to push me so that I have a fighting chance.
    Same thing goes for naval, when you take heavy hits and all your secondaries, aa guns, and one or more of your main guns are knocked out. Yet again the game repairs the secondaries and AA first and main guns last which leads to significant crew loss because the secondaries and AA get knocked out so easily. When most would prefer to only repair the main guns over everything else.
    I've sent this suggestion multiple times, but no dice unfortunately.

    Hi Tim, I frequent visiting Asia/SA and they do have their own server. The issue is, it only shows up when they select Autoselect; they cannot manually include it in with, say, America at the same time. This leads to a lot of players in the region straight up not knowing it even exists due to not showing up in the server selector. I think the issue needs to be making it more clear that it exists, right now it feels like Gaijin are just having it in the game just to say it's there, but they hide it from all players. I honestly don't know why they do this because it detracts from the experience of SA players (high ping, server instability) so it makes no sense from a financial standpoint since they already pay for servers but discourage usage.

    I don’t think the statcard should be removed, because it’s going to be harder to tell if someone bots or cheats, like Chinese players for example

    Feedback: Add an option for gun targeting distance for bombers. No matter what you do, right now it’s locked at 600m. It would be nice to have a means of changing it because you usually need to hit competent fighters at 1000m+ to stand any chance of surviving, and 600m convergence makes some of your turrets useless at range such as the Pe-8 wing gunners or shooting to the side in strategic bombers like the B-17, Me-264, etc.

    I asked OxygenThief about likes/dislikes. They do nothing to matchmaker. They are purely indicator for Gaijin about community preferences regarding maps.
    From my feedback:
    Increase rewardsfor plane kills in ground forces. Playing as SPAA is just not viable with the amount of rewards it gets

    You have some great suggestions! Really! And I hope that Gaijin doesn't handle your ideas as "eh, it's that guy who doesn't stop annoying us".
    Sending them constructive feedback every month is essential and should be listened to, but if the people at the other end (Gaijin) throw ideas off wihout consideration about ways to implement or interpret them, nothing will change.

    One more addition. Some planes that already were getting power crept before the br decompression now are utterly power crept. For example the F4C is still facing attackers with all aspect missiles and now the mig23ml series. The F-4C can now even face r73 on some frog foot

    9:39 adding an ECRB mode would seriously improve the game in my opinion, and allow people to play planes that just don't fit the current quick match meta. I genuinely don't understand why they took it away in the first place tbh.
    I like your idea of having several airfields to choose from, too. It would add an interesting dimension to these games.

    I absolutely agree pretty much everything in the video, especially that the friendly target lock thing needs to be fixed, as well as the Air RB EC. I would immediately return to the game if they added this and it was done right. It would also be nice if they added in more modern naval stuff. I used to mainly play naval, and it has always been the best way for me to make money, even before the changes to making money and RP. I still think more people would play that if they gave it more attention

    I really wonder if they can do something about map rotation in Air RB.. Sometimes I have 5 games in a row in rocky pillars map. Then one or two games in city or something like that and then again few mach in rocky pillars.. First ¨easy¨thing to do would be adding Bourbon Island map for Air RB all the way to BR 13.0

    They should rework the daily login rewards, for example after 100 days of logging in you get 500 GE or something like that. 365 days and you get a rank 3 premium vehicle of your choice.
    I would also like to see something be done with the medals you can see on your profile. Maybe have them give a small percentage increase in RP, for example +0.5% RP gain per medal. (There are a lot of medals, so this could stack up to 20%)
    The final thing is reworking the level system. Right now after reaching lvl 100 there isnt anything after that, maybe they could add a prestige system. Each prestige could give you a bonus in research and silver lions, after 5 prestiges you could get a bundle of items like universal backups, ge, ge wagers, etc.
    This is just some concepts I thought of

    Enduring Confrontation in RB used to be a thing in the event Tab when it first came out. I remember flying long missions switching from a Fw to the m410 and the bomber to complete objectives.
    One day it vanished from the Event Tab and never came back.

    An easy one I would GREATLY appreciate. And it easy and just a simple QoL change:
    Premiums have a gold frame, Squadron vehicles green...a colored frame for Event vehicles is all I want. Purple seems right to me for some reason, some color spectrum thing. But ANY differentiating color would be fine.

    Yes air RB EC would be amazing. They could even just add it under the sim drop tab. I mean thats where they put event games.
    They need to change the spawn points.

    No, no no. Service record should be fully transparent for all players, at all times.
    For one, service record reveals some anomalies which are useful in aiding players to identify botters and cheaters. Abnormally high K/D, tens of thousands of battles in bombers (and nothing else) etc.
    Secondly it allows for more transparancy in official WT forum discussions. The service record shows the nations and vehicles the player has used, and their performance in them. This can help reveal bias in players and when they are being dishonest or outright lying about their in-game experience.
    The option to hide these important details would greatly diminish player ability to investigate and report cheaters and botters, as well as countering trolls and other dishonest actors.
    If anyone abuses the service record in a unsanctioned way, such as bullying, then the right response is to take action against the individual.

      The stat cards can be very useful for catching cheaters, a while ago I got shot from a spot where there was no way the other player could see me and I check his stat card because I felt the kill was a suspicious and who would have guessed, a lvl 10 with a premium t-80 with a k/d of like 400-20

    Everything. Literally everything. I play mostly around the 6.0 area in US, Israel, Germany, and Russia, and everything said is so true. I would love to be able to at least have some say over which ground maps I get. And hell, even at those BRs, I can get 5 or 6 kills in ground, and 3 in CAS in the same match, and afterwards, you cant even tell that I earned any RP for either of my vehicles im researching. And the crew lock is one of the worst features in the game by far. I played a match the other day where our team got absolutely curb stomped. I personally got penned by a ZSU-57 frontally in a T-26, only to keep on running into the same ZSU around corners until I had no more spawn points, all within the span of probably a minute and a half. The match itself took probably no more than 2 or 3 minutes it was so bad, and the cherry on the top at the end is that I still had to wait a few minutes before I could enter the next match because of the crew lock.
    As for air, Even in prop aircraft, the current size of matches feels too big. Not terrible, but I can never get a consistent goal met, because no matter what im doing, I always get caught in a furball of the rest of the server, either catching strays, or being ganged by 3 other fighters, or hell, attackers that get air spawns when they perform like a fighter and have almost no attack ordnance. An air realistic EC mode would be perfect for the game. I like the system used in sim, but sometimes just dont want to have to set up headtracking, my hotas, etc, just to get killed as often as I do. I love the mechanics of RB, but hate having to fly for 5 minutes just to get instantly killed in a furball I had no choice in being in.
    I understand this is a free to play game, and the snail needs to make its money some how, but if they simply dropped the grind slightly by increasing RP and SL gains some, and adding a EC style game mode for air and ground RB, I would bet they would get DROVES of players coming back who played once and didnt want to suffer through it the games current modes just to grind to their favorite tank. An EC style game mode for both air and ground would help tremendously, as it would add slower paced gameplay, while not requiring as much time, money, or effort to play.
    Have a ground EC on somewhat larger maps (not massive, but larger than the current ground maps) that requires you to identify a tank with something like the scouting feature, before it displays friend or foe name tags, or have it display at close range automatically. Would force players to slow down and take a second if they see a tank, and would be less head on than RB, but wouldn't cause issues with the stolen premiums like is currently an issue in ground sim. Something you can just hop into here or there throughout the day, not have to worry about being locked to a match, and not getting killed and spawn camped within 2 minutes of the match starting. As long as you have the SL to keep bringing out vehicles, more power to you!
    As for air, same idea applies. Something you can just get into here or there, and work through slowly like in sim, without having to require a whole set up as in sim, but your not locked into the sweaty ass RB matches you get currently. Have more personal fights with the enemy, and not worry about getting third partied by half the other team. Plus you get actual reason to use attackers and bombers without worrying of getting killed immediately. I see no real downsides, as long as gaijin doesn't fuck up the balance like they did originally and get greedy about it.
    I know SO many casual players who would fuck with modes like that that arent nearly as fast paced and sweaty as RB, but not as intensive as sim. On top of that, I know a ton of DCS and IL-2 players who are starting to move to WT sim, but still would like a simplified yet similar paced game mode to chill out in with friends. Its a cash cow gaijin refuses to acknowledge exists, and it only harms both them and the player.

    Just 2 things I would like to see added, 1st a rework to the "test drive" area for targets for air a low flying strike fighter, a mid flying fighter, a high flying bomber and a helicopter. For sea you'll have stationery and moving targets and for ground moving and stationery vehicles, a pillbox with a AA and howitzer and most importantly a base target that scales with planes BR. The 2nd thing for Bombers an escort mechanic where you can request help similar to the ground tow mechanic and as much as 2 players can get within range to confirm and then they will get some credit for successful bombings and badges for destroying bases and successful landing of the bomber, it ends when the bomber lands.

    The Tornado IDS MFG Anti-Ship missiles need a rework as they go for the tallest pylon or funnel on the ship and can never get any kills with them in sim battles, they should also let it lock ground targets (tanks) with the missiles make it more viable. ( you can still lock AAA in WW2 maps like Normandy in custom battles)

      @@wapniak666 Development of the Kormoran started in 1962, being taken over by Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (now a part of EADS) in 1967. The missile was originally designed for anti-shipping roles in coastal waters, although it retains a secondary land-attack capability as well.

      you have to pre-program location before flight it cannot be used for hitting tanks or any other moving vehicles
      also in WT we have early version of that missile which doesn't even have that

    Bring back the old style of events but instead of 3-4 new vehicles make it 1 new vehicle like we have now and 2-3 reruns of older vehicles. I couldn't get a Toldi or a Sentinel, I'd love to have them. if you grind an event vehicle that you already have then you get a coupon to sell. It brings down prices on the old stuff no one wants to pay 200 bucks for, looking at the Excelsior, gives everyone a chance to get those vehicles and makes events way more interesting rather than "don't like the top prize so I won't grind". This way the market monkeys can keep "making money to buy premium", and casuals can grind or pay a reasonable fee for event vehicles.

    I agree with almost all of your points. Except for ground rb because i play no more this mode😢. And YES, they have to bring back air rb enduring confrontation !     Just a thought but it would be nice to be compensated for turn fights .for instance it could be proximity based over a period of time so that after you've been in a turn fight with a specific enemy and someone else just swoops in and steals him leaving you as a slow target meaning you almost always die with no reward for the effort you put in .heck they could even call it BFM points.
    Anyway dude love your content and happy to hear the suggestions so far.

    6:28 yeah like the 530D. If you look at the stat card you might think that it is a very good missile for long range shots cause of M5 max speed and compareble weight to the 27ER or the 7M. But in fact it accelerate very slowly and its engine burns out relatively quickly and it produces so much drag that it can barely reach targets from 30km in headon even if was launched from 30k feet altitude while the 7M even though being much slower can easily reach targets from 50+km just because of enormous burn time of its engine+sustainer
    Same with guidance delays, timers and thrusts for burners and sustainers of missiles. Basically statcards should have all the info that present in datamines

    I appreciate that someone with a line to Gaijin actually seems to care about this game improving. I've played this game since open beta and admittedly I gave up hoping for it to get any better, haven't played in over a year now.
    Out of curiosity, do you think Gaijin refusing to fix some of this stuff is nepotism or incomitance/lack of resources (I find lack of resources unlikely given how much money they are raking in)? Are they just plugging their ears and milking the "new patch hype train" for money as long as they can or is it just the community is huge and the voices of the somewhat ill-informed masses color their decisions too much? Some of this stuff seems so obvious and ridiculously easy to implement if they actually wanted to fix it.
    Also, as a professional data analyst if baffles me that they still rely so heavily on player stats to balance the game. As you've pointed out, it's such a flawed system that I find it hard to believe that they could possibly do it for any other reason than they might have it semi-automated at this point. I find it really difficult to believe that most of the people at this company actually play and understand this game.

    Many great suggestions there Tim, hopefully Gajin will take them onboard and listen. Similar to your point on radar locks magnetically being attracted to friendlies, I really dislike when IR missile seekers acquire a further out / off bore friendly over a directly in front enemy and then also holds on to the friendly for a good couple of seconds while it flys outside the seeker head’s maximum field of view ring - this literally should not be physically possible given what the seeker head FoV ring on screen is supposed to represent.

    I've maintained for years that with the issue of BR decompression, what I've thought would the easy fix is to reduce the max uptier to only 2 increases instead of the current 3, it would help immensely in high tier air and mid to high ground rb.

    Some small things that should be possible:
    1. Return bring able to camera look around in aircraft gunner 1st person number view
    2. Return (this time toggle-able if someone prefers the current one) the possibilty to use zoom in on the aircraft sniper scope, usually on low-tier aircraft, in the 3D view without jumping to the 2D cross hair. That was possible in the past. It's very jarring when using TrackIR/VR and while looking around zoomed in it suddenly jumps to the 2D view when looking at the scope.
    3. Return proximity score to air to reward at least somewhat skillful baits etc. because it can actually turn a game for going for a bait instead of trying for a kill.
    4. Return ai ships and carriers to air maps to use torpedos etc more

    6v6 for top tier air rb is interesting. Personally I kind of like the chaos that bigger matches bring, 12v12 is too much tho I’d say 8v8 is the happy middle ground.
    Reason being I feel that in the 6v6 format there a bit too much power for singular players, what I mean is there can be a team of 6 decent players and the enemy team has 1 really really good player and 5 bad/just ok players. Now if the really really good player has the f15 he has 8 missiles. That means with a 75% accuracy this guy can single handily win the game for the team. Yes he would need a bit of luck to do that but I’d say it’s very possible that this one guy gets 6kills and the match ends.
    To me this kind of ruins the game not only for the enemies but also for the teammates as well since they don’t get any rewards. Maybe u can fix that by adding a reward for aiding in a kill (distracting or shooting at the plane even if u miss). Idk it just seems kind of iffy to me.

    8:02 you can also put a %based SL per teamkill if 250k is negligible to someone, 250k being the minimum, then putting it higher the more SL they have, as you can earn that lost SL quite easily in a premium

    the crew lock often just leaves me to Alt-F4 and startup another game and i will either not play anymore that day or sometime later in the evening its counter intuitive in a free 2 play game to lock players out of a already frustrating match probably. just makes people quit.
    Also toptier atleast Fox2 and 3 carriers should have a 6v6 mode with allot of PVE. This prevents the absolute short matched where you sometimes dont get a kill but you can do objectives and ocassionally engage a player. Its basically how Sim Enduring confrontation works anyways with AI planes also shooting at you with their arnaments etc

    Regarding map balance on seeing from spawn to spawn (like Bastogne) the easy solution is to include more obstructions between sightlines, be it foliage or hard cover assets. Other maps (like Middle East) need their spawn positions adjusted.
    I don’t care how long it would take to go through, I’d like to see a feedback form where players can put suggestions for rebalancing the most banned maps for the game and go into extreme detail.

    I’ve been wanting to see more jet interceptors, some sort of GCI for sim battles, and maybe even SAM sites and SEAD to make battles more diverse. It would give attackers a role rather than Larping as a fighter.

    Punishment for TK-ing should be a lot higher, esp if it's clearly done to be a dick. The targeted person might have a booster on, they might be unable to complete an event or something because they got TKed, ...

      - Don't count teamkills as matches played for booster and wager durations
      - Consider teamkills in the first N seconds or N distance travelled to be intentional and punish those

    Going through the video, here are some of the thoughts on the points I actually had thoughts about:
    - The "Like/Dislike" for each map is currently only available for Gaijin to get player feedback as far as I know. I do agree that it should be considered in matchmaking though, I'm tired of getting Golan Heights at top tier since you can't even ban both versions anymore.
    - I actually don't agree with removing crewlocks; I have it happen fairly frequently where when I launch a missile at someone or start getting behind them in a two-circle, they'll just pitch their plane into the ground to deny a kill. Without crewlock I think this would get a lot worse; however, if they made crashes like this credit a kill, I would be totally for removing crewlocks in that case.
    - I actually like playing CAS when there's *some* cloud cover, since I think it's interesting to try and find a workable angle for a weapons lock, but I agree that the pea soup conditions should be removed. (I've also had issues with the airfield on the EC sized version of Afghanistan in air battles being completely covered in clouds up to 5km lol)
    - I think we should get more modern nuclear carriers at top tier as well, and have them be more customized to each nation if possible; US could get an Aardvark, France could get a Mirage-2000N, etc.
    - No real thoughts on the bomber proposal since you've gone over it thoroughly before, I just hope they do something so we can get into classics like the Tu-95 or esoteric prototypes like the XB-70.
    - Air RB EC would be really nice not just for the longer matches, but hopefully so that we can do some actual multirole missions in air battles with decent rewards and without being free food for the enemy team.
    - I would be fine with some adjustment to the current multipathing height, but I really hope they don't go back to the old 100m threshold; I think it trivialized avoiding radar missiles and reduced the skill ceiling. I would rather have what we have now than go back to 100m.
    Here's a bonus that you didn't mention, but that I'd like your opinion on: Should there be anything done to limit people squadding up with props and bringing them to top tier? It's really annoying to have a chunk of your team be dead weight from the start, especially since they usually consider themselves to be comedy geniuses, or just end up teamkilling people on takeoff. I think a 2 BR squad limit would be good, since it would let people play with friends at different points in trees without letting people abuse it like we have now.
    Sorry for the wall of text. I really appreciate videos like this that give us insights into what it's like to interact with Gaijin, as well as just get your thoughts on current issues in the game.

    The problem I can see with only adding early F-18 models, for example, is that many nations wouldn't get any new jets. For example sweden can get the f-18, but it's the later c and d variants the finns use.

    I would suggest some stuff which is mostly quality of life
    Allow radars to look up and down Without having it fixed to an altitude
    On EC SB rework useful actions to a system where if you land you gain the full reward but if you die in the way you get 35%~ of the reward (currently the rewards are capped and given only after 15m alive so if you kill 1 or 10 jets in the spam of 15m the reward is the same)
    Allow planes and helicopter to change thier pylons mid battles in Ground RB

    That's some great feedback. Something I disagree with is the map bans. With how many players have access to map bans it causes the same 3 maps to be in rotation constantly with no variety. Also the actual statistics of performance in game is the best possible method of balancing. It doesn't matter that a vehicle has some amount of horsepower or armor on the stat card. The only thing that matters for balancing is how a vehicle performs in an actual match.

    The only point I disagreed with partially is the Multipathing one, I think it's a cheap way for people to just disable radar missile gameplay entirely as they please. Ideally, Multipathing should not be a thing, on missiles that arent realistically affected heavily by ground clutter, at all. I do recognise its a big issue however, especially for players that are stock for example.
    I'd suggest a heavy focus on larger maps (at least the size of current Air RB EC maps or even that as a mode like you also suggested) in combination with smaller team sizes. Objectives and map design should also lend themselves to tactical gameplay where using physical obstacles to avoid missiles is possible and the objectives are spread out enough to avoid one team easily practicing wholesale area denial. I already liked their change of giving all eligible planes active radar homing missiles from stock, but this could be expanded upon further by also decompressing BRs between semi active and active radar homing missile aircraft, since the two have often heavily different options for standoff gameplay that would put SARH planes in too tight of a spot without good terrain or multipathing.
    Edit: Forgot to mention that the rest of your suggestions are spot on, I'm an especially big fan of your suggested bomber reworks since I really like those aircraft and despise the state of irrelevance they're in. Did you try asking gaijin for feedback on your suggestion to perhaps get an "official response" that could potentially be shared with the community if they permit?

      yeah but you remove it and it breaks the shitshow of toptier air rb, if you want to be immersed in realism then a bigger issue would be the csgo style 16v16 air matches

    I think all the issues you brought up are very much valid points and should be acted upon. A couple that stood out to me: Player Card privacy should definitely be implemented, because it is not fair to anyone playing the game. Also, I am on the bomber fixers band wagon. Bombers have suffered for far too long in this game, and they need some love.

    Amen brother!!Some of the changes you proposed are critical for the game.
    I ,for one, stopped playing Air RB at top tiers since its all to hoo gets the first kills.After that,the players that are in lower numbers are just steam rolled by the fox 3 missiles.

    Good points, just one more thing, the rewards for coastal vessels should also go up significantly, or the RP requirements be lowered, as it is now requirements for high BR coastal are similar to Bluewater, but most coastals are very squishy compared to Bluewater, making the grind that much harder.

    another thing they should do is when you finish a tech tree i mean that you cant research any thing but you still play that nation every rp you will get will become sl taht way you will still have a reseon to play that nation

    Regarding crew locks, nothing winds me up more than dying to an enemy then for some bs reason im sat in the hangar crew locked for no reason at all till the timer ends

    6:37 FREAKING YES! The endless cover of clouds does literally nothing! For the pilot, if there is an AA like Pantsir, you are just gonna dive and fly low. The playstyle does not change. For the AA, you are literally shooting blind without any hint where the missile is which is not satisfying.
    However, there is usually a little hole in that cloud cover right above the enemy spawn point! Any bomb with IOG or even the regular bomb will reach the AA with no problems while the AA player has no way to spot you but to spam the lock button.
    Gaijin should definitely do something with this "crutch" since colliding into a mountain, losing 700+ spawn points and getting your crew locked is so freaking obnoxious!

    1. Low torque vehicles is valid. The M113 series of chassis seem to have terrible torque, and can barely climb hills or slopes if you happen to stop on them.
    2. For Map bans, I'm not really sure if increasing them will help as there are maps I enjoy and others don't but if they are banned enough by other players, then I may not be able to play them.
    3. I think just some common sense on map redesigns or layouts would be more beneficial. Maybe allowing player made maps to be submitted for review, like skins would be an option, although the majority of the problems seem to stem from higher tier vehicles where their speed and lethality of weapon systems is more of an issue. Maybe just having a dynamic spawn system where you spawn in a zone along a the map edge might help as the enemy won't know exactly where you'll spawn. You'll have an indication, on your map though so it's not also a surprise.
    4. Clouds is a problem and should just be over the battle zone (like dropping a nuke restriction). The other option is just to ensure that CAS and SPAA systems have the same render or view distances. Just because real world is translated into the game doesn't mean it shouldn't be balance. Low to mid tier isn't a problem for SPAA vs CAS, it's seems to be more of an issue top tier.
    5. Crew lock. I agree. Just remove it, the same as the chat spam delay. Both just take away from the game. I'm like you, if I get sniped within seconds of spawning in because of poor map design, I'm gone. This isn't when a team has taken all of the caps and is pushing the spawn, I'm talking about maps like Ardennes Domination #2 Winter (F2 Spawn), where you spawn within full view of the enemy on the other side once the battle has started. Fast tanks can just push the slight rise out of the B6 spawn and start engaging you as you struggle to move somewhere.

    A MFD rework would be nice to see. Being able to use guided weapons from within the cockpit instead of going into a separate view would be a massive improvement for Sim. Also having proper rendering in MFD screens would be massive.

    So about the crew-lock.
    It was to stop the FW190D-13 smooth brains from en masse bailing on the matches they drew against Jets that could do anything about them back in CBT(Keeping in mind they clubbed everyone and everything until the MiG-15/Sabres came out to play)
    Also why you can't see what vehicles the enemy players are using on the scoreboard anymore. I suspect it is still in to prevent people from auto-bailing on some maps/match-ups in Ground RB, that and Gaijin changing something they've already done is pretty rare.
