I really appreciate, amidst all the endless kill-super-ace montages on YT, to see at least a few screwed matches that look like my normal warthunder-day.
Missing 2 bf109 from that list and that’s the bf109A and the bf109Z. But other than that just proves how strong those cannons are when stuff just shreds

The F-4 is by far my most played with bf109 and besides it’s engine that gives the surface of the sun a run for it’s money it’s an amazing plane
Its for me the best 109. Over 2500 kills with it. Perfect balance overall.
G-2 is also excelent
@@Levi_o_Lusitano I think the f4 is better than the g2 because it has 15mm pods instead of 20mm that affect flight performance less
@@3x4n. yes. Its the perfect balance between weaponry and air worthyness/performance.
The 15 mm gunpods are superb but even without them u can get ez deflection shots.
And if you know how to play it its a win most of the time.
Now, with a wingman you will be unstoppable.
Air traps and whatnot.
F-4 is peak 109

@@3x4n. i am a german main, 109 especially, altough i have all the props from nearly all factions unlocked as well.
My tips for a 109(lone player):
-Always have altitude advantage, at least 1 000 above your enemy;
-try and aproach from behind(their 6);
ALWAYS maintain your energy. If you attack fast, strafe and get back up you can outclimb most enemies. Slow and no energy will get you killed.
Boom n Zoom: use boom n zoom tactics to try and catch the enemy by surprise.
Choose a target,dive, strafe, use the energy gain to climb back up and repeat. Its how a 109 is supposed to fight.
This is how you fight spitfires.
IF they are above snd its a 1v1, luring him down will help him.
So you must meet his dive head on in w way u dont stall(watch him and turn within his attack. Dive a little when he starts to dive and quickly climb back up to face him).
Never never try dogfight horizontally with a Spitfire.
Important of note is situational awareness.
Most times as german you will be severly outnumbered by the time you gain altitude.
Choose ur targets carefully and ponder if attackin 1 enemy will leave you exposed to another one.
Sometimes its better to cut losses and return to base than to just die.

Yeah. If I want to play modern aircraft I want the main combat element to be well made and it just doesn’t work in war thunder. Rather play dcs

The G6 with the 30mm cannons just evaporates planes. There isn’t much ammo, but it just takes a 1 second burst to rip a b-17 into pieces.

To me they are the best and most fun plane to play. The thing with going higher BRs is that the other nations planes have a less linear progression and get more OP as they go up, while bf109 don't. So it's more fun to play the lower BRs. Although the sweet spot might be the G6 for "easy of use" and good matchmaking.

While playing the German line up to jets I didn’t touch a plane unless it was some sort of bf109 variant . One of the best fighters , the Israel one is the worst out of all of them , because it’s too heavy and the guns suck it shares the profile of a bf109 but it’s more like a bf104

As a fellow war thunder player it can even dog jets and dodge missiles along with the fw any model and you can be quite dangerous

I like the E series most in average performance and BR balancing especially by using the MEC (Manuell Engine Controll) the E series is more forgiving. The Engine isnt overheating so fast like the F Series and even if you have the wrong screw setting you have time to correct it F and following the engine will nearly die instantly. E-Series is love

Either I missed it or he didn't play the BF-109 F4/trop. I saw he played the G2/trop but didn't see the F4.
If you haven't, do the same with the FW-190 series
If your ever trying out BF-109s, try aiming slightly in front of the target as in the video you can see how the rounds move.

You missed one BF109. There used to be a premium G2 in the german tree. It was romanian, but they removed it years ago. I don´t know if you can request gaijin to give it to you. There is also the 109Z but I wouldn´t count it as a 109. It is basically a twin mustang with 109s.
