You really don't understand Ed's "style". You try to mimick by drawing a bunch of lines but have no idea how he builds his drawings or why.
But I do understand internet trolls. And you, sir, are top notch! :D
You get criticism and are reduced to whining and calling names?..Awweeeeeeeeee
This was mesmerizing to watch, I think it was the great drawing combined with the perfect background music. You've now sent me down the rabbit hole of reading into Edward Gorey! :-)
Taking a ride in the wayback machine. I had a lot of fun doing self portraits every week, but I was just starting out and no one was watching them. Thanks for checking out some of the oldies.
Until recently I didn't know that Gorey always drew to the scale of the finished book. I had imagined that they were drawn larger and scaled down, it makes his work even more impressive.
Neat. I want aware of that either. :)
This was really cool, man. Love the end result
Thank you so much.
Man, you've really honed your videos since this.
Haha. Backhanded compliment. I love it.
i didnt know that Edward gorey was kenshi yonezu's inspiration
I can watch you draw all day long. It is beautiful work and very relaxing to watch. I just love your channel! Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it!
Straight lines are always the hardest thing to draw. Now I’m gonna have to do some research. 😁 Great video 👍
Yeah, this was one of my favorite self portraits in this series. Gorey rocks!
What pen, ink and paper did you use? Nice job!
Thanks! I used a Pilot Varsity pen and a Sharpie pen on smooth bristol.
Maybe study Gorey a bit more. He was as much into backgrounds as he was into the figure. The backgrounds often dominated. I love what you've done, the figure does feel genuine, but maybe extend the drawing to the limits of the paper.
