Ulta’s website was cutting up and wouldn’t let me checkout. I was able to order my ND pallet from Beautylish.
If you look at the Natasha Denona tutorials for this palette, you'll see she starts every look with a really heavy dark pencil liner. She then uses the deepest shadow shade to blur that out. And she builds from dark to light. But the liner is really the key for that very dark smoky look she's getting.
Morgan. Can you please pull out all Natasha Denona midi palettes and arrange new one in this i need a nude palette where you said it can use a couple more deep tones.. so we can have more variety in looks by using this palette. I would love to see the outcome of this.

I feel this palette is great for people who are new to makeup or interested in work/ school daytime easy looks. Sometimes dark shades can get dramatic quickly.
I agree it would be good for that demographic. As someone who is not new to makeup and has a very large collection (100+ palettes and a couple hundred singles) and who wears plenty of colorful makeup, I'm also this palette because it has a decent amount of cool tones without being silver/gray focused and I like ND's formula.
I live for cool-tones because I'm super cool-toned. But I'm not doing it. There's really only one look, she does this almost every time. I went off in my own comment so I don't want to repeat it but I'm glad to hear others saying something similar. Because I have gone back & forth, it's been in my cart for 2-3 days. But I'm not doing it. I feel like we give ND a pass all the time because of formula and it's good but not the best IMO. Thanks for making me feel like it's not just me 🤍
I’m a momma and super busy. I feel like this palette is perfect for quick effortless looks. That aren’t too overdone and something you really can’t mess up.

Natasha was using her black kohl eyeliner pencil and blending it into the looks to create the depth and intensity. I wish she wouldn’t do that so we could really see looks that only involve the palette. You did a great job though. ❤

That's how I feel when people put on lashes after a tutorial. It covers all the work. I kinda feel like they're hiding their mistakes.
As someone who does more Asian style (Douyin and K-idol) makeup, this is perfect! The lighter, midtone shades are great for a watercolor look! I personally don't like smoky looks so only 1 really deep shade works for me.
I think she targeted Asian market with this quite a bit, cause even the first photo appeared on xiaohongshu. Which I love, I love kbeauty style palettes and make up too 😍
I started doing more douyin styled makeup because it suits my viet features more than the kbeauty style and YOURE SO RIGHT with this color scheme! I think i finally got my push to get it 😭 I also like how this isn't too warm or too cool. It's beautifully desaturated in color like how an asian palette would be, except this would have amazing pigment
As someone with pale cool toned skin and blue/grey eyes adding a slightly warm shadow above the crease definitely makes a difference in how a look turns out. I’m glad she added those!

I have pale, cool-toned skin too but for me personally, I find cooler tones compliment my grey-blue eyes better than warm tones. I will wear warm tones but am more drawn to the cooler tones. Either way, I can’t wait to receive this palette!!!! 😊
I will pop out the 2 warms and pop in some from the Glam for the ultimate cool tone palette.
I'd love to see this compared with Stone Cold Fox and the Huda Rose Quartz palettes! It also reminds me a little bit of the Viseart Lilas quad too.
My prediction is the Rose Quartz is a lot cooler and more mauve & pink-toned
Rose Quartz pulls much more pink. But I love it also and can imagine mixing shades from the two.

Agree- each pallete should be able to stand on its own. I had 2 ND and an Odens eye pallete out the other day for a look and was thinking “this is a bit ridiculous” but glad I’m able to have so many palettes!

In like all the promo videos they used a liner to get that depth in the outer third. So they kinds cheated it when it comes to the depth that way. Not that I really mind but that's where it came from

Exactly! I just got this and I have light skin with cool pink undertone. On me, most of the shades look WARM. This is NOT a true cool palette.

I put pink and gray/silver together all the time. It is one of my favorite looks.
Hi Morgan great review as always! I just wanted to mention that Natasha uses her eye pencils a lot to create her looks. That's why they turn out darker than what one could get from using only the shades provided in the palette.
As someone with a very fair cool skin tone, I love the fact that this palette has less dark shades because I end up almost never using them in my other ND palette.
I’m super excited to get this one! The special shades in Mario’s ethereal palette are my favourites ever- I couldn’t be more happy to have that effect from ND!
I wished the palest shade was a bit brighter to act as a highlighter.

Not including the formula but this reminds me a tiny bit of Naked 2 palette. Anyone else? I thought I didn’t need it but the formula is stunning. I might cave and get it.

it def leans more to neutral-warm rather than cool but I think these tones suit most skin tones.. I will be buying it for sure

I love the composition of CP Going Coconuts. That was one of my favorite CP pallets but I did not like all the shades formula wise in it so I know I'm going to love this!!!
I own the glam and this one just doesn’t have those deep enough tones to make me jump on it even with 15 % off. I still own abh soft glam that I feel is beautiful

When I saw the first images released from the palette I thought that it was going to be the perfect one for me, finally, and got super excited. But now I realize that there are too many similar shades, some shades warmer than expected and it's missing at least one deeper shade and more variety. So I think I will have to keep waiting for someone to launch the palette of my dreams.

Silhouette looked so much darker online than it does in person. 😢Jones Road Dark Brown still wins the prize. Also, there's only one cool-toned shimmer (which is pink), and the others are either too yellow or dark. Sad... because I love pulling these palettes apart as singles in my magnetic palettes...😔

Natasha used dark brown eyeliner & black in the looks she made with the palette. It was shown in the look videos she did on her channel. That is probably why you thought the brown would be deeper.
The deepest shade looked darker in the pics because in her RUclips promo videos showing the palette she used a dark eyeliner first before applying the eyeshadow on top.

I'm not rushing out to get this palette - I'm going to hang back and see how I feel about it in few weeks. I like it but I don't "love" it like I do the Glam palette, there's just something missing. I dunno 🤷♀️
It annoys me when brands like PML and ND use photoshop to enhance the promo pics. If they wanted wanted the shades that are depicted in these pics, then WHY didn't they just create them? Stop lying to us!!!
Oh yes, they can stop putting very similar shades in the same palette too - this could have easily been an 8 pan palette.

I know im going to love this palette so much since the day it launched. I love this neutral colours scheme compared to the glam palette that leans more towards greyish colours that always looks dull on me.
The looks are nice but I think there are too many 'too similar' colours in the palette. I prefer palettes with a bit more variety. However still enjoyed this video and the looks you created. I wont be buying the palette but I can still appreciate the looks :)
I love that there are many deep colors. I am always looking for lighter tones for my fair skin.

I just ordered mine and I'm so excited to receive! I'm a bottle redhead with a very light complexion, so I appreciate the light and mid-toned shades. I also appreciate the warm tones that are included in this palette because it helps me pull off cooler tones. For the sake of inclusivity and expanding the variety of looks, I feel a couple of deeper colors would have been nice to have in this palette.

If there's one thing I've learned about Natasha Denona it's that she tends to use eyeliner instead of just eyeshadow to add depth to her promo shots, which is why they always look deeper
There is enough depth for every day looks if you’re not a RUclipsr… we don’t all wear smoky eyes every day 😊 but I say that as a pale girl? 🤔
I concur- sometimes it feels like brands are making palettes for the RUclipsrs, etc and forget the average person can’t go full glam sparkle every day!
I think I'll stick to the glam palette. I have been eyeing it for a while and I think it's a better option for those of us who like cool toned brown shades. Thank you for reviewing and comparing them🥰

I got this and was so let-down for the first 2-3 weeks. My first splurge eyeshadow palette was just very difficult to make work for me. I’ve played with it and experiement es with her formulas, and now I LOVE this palette - especially after getting “my dream” to go alongside! I am an every day type of girl, but I do like to slip a little bit of some thing in there to make things interesting once in a while. The d combination of the two is much more to my liking (warmer and more interesting). The 3 topper shades and “whisper” and “travertine” are indispensable for any look for me, and “vague” is my favorite ever I’m just in love❤
Just starting the video. Some of these mattes remind me of the makeup by mario palette. That was such a disappointment as the mattes didn’t suit my skin color. I would love a comparison. Maybe you will. Now to watch!

IMO this palette is perfect, I tend to do more soft "wearable" looks on daily basis and I am so glad she's created this colour story. I love looking at those colourful shadows but I am such a neutral "boring" makeup girl truly 😊I would definitely like to see more looks with this palette😍

Right? I ordered before noon on Rouge day and mine doesn’t come until Thursday! (Im in Phoenix, AZ). Also- why in the world would Morgan not get hers in PR? There are a ton of nobody’s posting on Sephora that received gratis from ND.

This is at least five shades warmer than the promo photos in the pan and ten shades warmer swatched. It won't be cool-toned for anyone who actually has a cool undertone. Which is ok but I wish ppl stopped calling palettes like this cool-toned. This is a light, warm, peachy-orangey-brown palette.

Don’t underestimate that her skin’s undertone does affect the tone of the eyeshadow. Watch someone with cool skinniness swatch and use it. So many eyeshadow colors look entirely different on me because of my light warm skin.
@@dotiiification true, but the original product images show a desaturated version of this regardless. It just won't look as warm toned as it does on her, but that won't make those rosy shades taupe
@@dotiiification The deeper and warmer the skintone+undertone, the more cool-toned any eyeshadow will look, so from my perspective, it will look even more warm-toned on me than on Morgan.

We need comparison - one eye look with Glam + My Dream and the other eye with I need a Nude palette. 🙏They do not swatch similar, but I still think that won't look too different.
I mentioned on instagram that I need a nude and glam where similar and people promptly disagreed with me as if I was being offensive 🤷🏻♀️
People can’t take facts cuz they’re being biased obviously if it was Colourpop or any other drugstore brand they get dragged down to hell for releasing the same boring stuff
People on Instagram are less tolerant and more sheeplike than on YT. I always came away from Instagram depressed so I deleted it. I’m so much happier now that I don’t engage with that platform.
According to shade list there are at least 5 warm shades directly and I bet stone and tender and maybe even mesh would look warm on me as Im cool toned. But thats what Im going to find out next month when I buy this palette

@@sandragreenberg6010 Hi Sandra! I do love combining the Isamaya shimmers and using them with mattes. I wouldn’t say the fallout is any worse than any other special shades. I do my eyes first and use NYX glitter primer. Hope you enjoy!

The isamaya 2 is my favorite palette of the year. Less fallout than pat McGrath, but still some.
I use nyx , not the glitter glue but the pigment primer, and that stuff is amazing. Shimmer stays all day. The glitters in that are so fine and pictures absolutely DO NOT do it justice.
When I opened it I audibly gasped. And the colors are *chef's 😘

I own so many palettes that I guess I can pull off some similar looks with what I already have. I guess this palette is for someone who loves neutrals and does not have as many palettes. It is beautiful, but an easy pass for me.

My first impression seeing this was it looked similar to her Glam palette and your comparisons confirmed that! I wish there was more variety and deeper mattes too. It’s possible she will never be able to top her Dream palette which I think is her best work along with Biba. I have Glam, too, but I think Dream has more versatility and it’s just a perfect all in one palette.
I have both palettes now and really do not think they are that similar, unless you are trying to go for a smoky glam eye look. If that’s what you’re looking for, then I think Glam is the better palette. But I have always struggled to do an everyday eye look with the Glam palette and can do a lot more with the I Need A Nude.
Love Natasha Denona's eye shadows and own just about all of them. This is a nice neutral palette but I can easily dupe it with my Natasha Denona eye shadow palettes. I brought this during the Sephora sale for 20% off. Cute eye look!

This is a very WARM palette, not cool or neutral as the marketing team of Natasha are pushing it. Is not just some colors, but all of them.
On my cool toned skin it will pull orange, warm peach and even gold with these shimmers, and even the official shades descriptions have FIVE named literally WARM on them.
So sad this palette is not for me or anyone hoping for a truly cool neutral story from her, she doesn’t like cool tones at all. At least Huda is coming with a half TRULY cool toned palette and half warm for her annual holiday release by what’s has leaked and the shimmers looks beautifully cool.

I think Natasha uses a eye pencil on wing and outer line eye smudges and works on that as a dark foundation. Look up her videos on RUclips
