in it same here, very impressed!
Also check what kind of rice they use.
Quite impressive!!

He’s a chef who makes different jollof types based on country on tiktok. It’s an unfair competition really. His own jollof is inspired by different African flavors.
Let’s get into the level of beauty in this video! 😍
Right oh my gosh! On the plates too haha! But yes gorgeous people! I'm a white Scottish lass. N my Nigerian friend at work was begged by me to bring in some jollif rice for me...omg life changing...it was incredible...the flavours yummmmmmm
Agreed, Nigeria being the most beautiful of the lot 😍
Love that uuu said that 😌
Not really into black women but no1 can deny black culture is the best and the women have a natural beauty
I agree! Especially the lady with the brown shirt on. *#BeautifulBlackWomen**!* ✊🏾
Temi is either a chef or a foodie cos how was he able to attribute the taste to the country?! 😂
I'm glad he didn't disappoint 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

Being Pan African is embedded in the mindset of an Average Nigerian. Nigerians only started coming for other Africans when they come for them plus the jealousy and the hate from others became unbearable
What are you saying exactly

Literally what I was thinking 👏
Low-key shade is still shade.
And he won without meat on the plate...that's Nigerian audacity right there 💅🏾

There’s a saying here in Ghana 🇬🇭
Anyone who eats Jollof with stew, has TRUST ISSUES 😂
If you trust your jollof is very good you don’t need stew to eat with it, Jollof goes by it self, all you just need is a push with any soda or juice 😋
We say the same thing here in Naija 😂
I was thinking this! If your jollof is good you don’t need stew 😂🤭
😂😂Nigerians say this too. Hilarious, but true.

The vote don’t lie. Me as a Nigerians, I can’t get enough of our jollof rice. That’s why I keep adding weight 😂. I feel Ghana jollof is the same as Nigerian jollof difference is one is spicy that the other isn’t. So both Nigeria and Ghana jollof is the best
Taaaaa wash your mouth with soup GHANA Jollof and Nigeria jollof can never be the same 😂😂😂😂😂 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭❤️❤️
I would have sworn the first one was Nigerian Jollof because that's exactly how we plate our Jollof Rice. Surprised that the plain one won to be honest. The taste must have been very nice.

Yeeeeey!!!! I am Nigerian. I like the way everyone was gracious and kind with their comments. AFRICA to the world.
To the moon and back !
I made Nigerian jollof to my church in Scotland.
I was a bit sceptical cos I added spice like only Nigerian would like, and I thought people wouldn’t like to eat it.
Guess what the plate was empty
You did the right thing. Food is culture, and we don't bend culture to suit any audience. It's always presented exactly as it is in the native land. Good job.
@@isoryte201Just wanted to retweet exactly what you said.

Naija for the win ! ❤
This was excellent!!!!! The right person won. But, what I loved most is that All Four of Them were constructive in their criticisms, really good in their praise of the dishes, and no one was trying to be a jerk cutting down the others to lift themselves up. This was an absolute JOY to watch!!!!! 🤗

I'm not sure about that from what I just watched they all clearly liked temi's jollof however they all really liked Ruth's jollof to but instead of temi and sia being honest they underscored ruth
As a Senegalese it’s always so funny to me that we are never invited/ featured when the UNESCO recognized the dish as Senegalese.
Ibr I've had Senegalese jollof and while it is nice it barely tastes like the same dish as Ghanaian/Naija jollof. The technique may be similar but the spices and flavour are completely different
Its because they would lose - Nothing beats the original. The spices set it in a league of its own
literally
Yes crazy ! The way Senegalese prepare it, can't be equalled let alone bettered. They are the owners and masters of Jollof rice. Only Nigerians think they do it b4etter but if you ask someone from another country they will always say Senegal.
@@aminarassoul respect to the Senagalese tho, but Nigeria and Ghana made it popular to the world, and the feud between the two countries about whose is better even made it more popular, that doesn't mean Senegalese jollof isn't rated, it's not just popular. I'd like to try it one day tho.
I had amazing jollof in Senegal. One of my favourite West African countries!
Nothing more irritating that white people talking about vacationing in other people's cultures. This added nothing to the conversation you just want people to know you catch planes 😂
originals 💕
A solid 10 ! 🔥🔥
I hear the original Senegalese Jollof is to die for.
@@lorettakrah9304it’s the BEST
This was a good video; everyone was very respectful. As a Nigerian I think the reason the Senegalese and Siera Leonian Jollof did poorly is because we Nigerians want our food and especially jollof to hit hard when it comes to flavor, we love big bold flavors, so the more reserved style of Senegalese and Sierra Leonian jollof are fundamentally incompatible with our palates assuming that the Sierra Leonian and Senegalese women made jollof that was representative of the jollof of those countries. respect to everyone who participated though.
Hiii, as a Senegalese When it comes to flavour we like our savory and spicy. I just think we didn’t have the right representative.
@@mdiallo9705 that’s what I was thinking, darn lol I’m Nigerian but I wanted to see a bomb recipe from Sierra Leone 😭
@@mdiallo9705tbf this was guinea representation instead of senegal
But Senegal wasn't even represented here, in this episode!
As a Sierra Leonean, your point is actually pretty accurate. Nigerian jollof has that really strong smoke flavour to it and it can even be seen as the main part of the dish. Whereas I feel in a lot of Sierra Leonean cuisine our food focuses on plasas/stew and rice. Overall all tho all taste nice just diff pallets
Ghanaians always butting heads with Nigerians over jollof even here, Ruth was just behind the Nigerian. Proud of you Ruth. You made my day representing us😊
Awww thank you so much, glad to have represented us well and do you proud x Ruth
I'm Jamaican but I absolutely LOVE jollof rice (I had Nigerian), despite only having it once. Good job Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬❤️ I remember the first time I tried Nigerian jollof, I was hooked. Seems like Nigeria is just better at everything. Music, food, entertainment. I’ve never seen other African movies on Netflix. Just Nigerian. Nigerian afrobeat is worldwide now and they’re the only ones with artists on the charts, even the Nigerian fufu and egusi has been trending.
They're Africa's most populous nation with its biggest economy. They're most of the world's first exposure to Sub-Saharan Africa.
There's so many South African movies and shows on Netflix though...
@rimun5235 Yeah, but South Africa movies are not as popular as NollyWood movies. Not even close. The question is, why is nobody watching your movies compared to Nigeria movies? Why does the world gravitate towards anything Nigeria?

He didn’t even do too much. Just the rice and 💥. Naija 4 life
It was recently that I discovered that what my grandmother used to make and call red rice (she was from the US south) is actually a version of jollof. It must be a west African dish that made it (at least a version of it) to the US south during slavery. I was watching a YT video of someone making jollof and was like wait a minute that’s ‘red rice’ lol.
Woahhh that’s suppper cool. Would love to try it

basically, so the spicier the jollof the more people like it. Ghana looked way more than a 6.
Temi did us proud and beauty was served because both the people and the food looked beautiful!!🎉
Other countries need to fall back for real because honestly it's really never a competition. Also the idea that some West Africans sometimes say that Nigerian food is oily, needs to be fully dumped.
