In America you have good prices for mushrooms, here in Europe they are quite cheap. So it is hard to make a buck as a small grower.

Hmm, i thought i can make some Money here in Germany with a small farm but yeah they not expensive here but i never see here some good looking Gourmet mushrooms in my area no Lions Mane, Pioppino, Golden, only Kings but i don't think the quality is good blue Oyster are also not good quality here.

I am learning to grow shitake in how climate. I tried two ways of fruiting mushrooms, 1. putting in freezer for 48 hours and it works fine. 2. Soak in ice water, only about 20% of the mushroom bags fruit, but the mushroom bags turned dark chocolate after a few days and the shitake stops growing.
When the mushroom block turns into darker colour, does it mean the mycilium turns to sleeping mode?

since you have air in the incubation bags that are sealed, do you not need one of the filters that allows air exchange?

I sell the special filter patch bags on my website. For incubation you need circulation with little to no fresh air.

It looks like you're fruiting straight from your original spawn bags instead of spreading your mycelium onto a cheaper bulk medium after full colonization. Why don't you maximize your yields by spreading your mycelium into a bulk substrate?

Farmers markets in the beginning were slow but now they are pretty easy since knowledge has grown.
