Wow the terminal all grown. I went to Jamaica back in 1972 and it was the same terminal as seen in Dr No. an open an airy terminal. You got off on airstairs and walked in from the ramp.
"WOW!" So COOL This was my first cockpit view with a landing. I always wanted to be a pilot when young. Thank you, I'll visit other sites in the future! It was great.
Very cool. I was in MoBay in January for a couple weeks. Stayed right in the downtown area. My wife was from Jamaica so went down to see the island a little bit. Had dreams of learning how to fly and taking her down. She passed away February 28th of 2019, she never got to go see home again even though we were supposed to multiple times. One of our wedding gifts was supposed to be a trip down but her aunt never came through with it. Thank you for the view though. I was not able to see much other than the back of the seat ahead of me when I landed.
Such a skilled landing! Most pilots taper off their rate of descent after 30 or 20, but you manage to taper it off below 10 feet and land smoother than I've ever seen. Good job!
Those widow wipers reminded me of my 1954 Ford Consul 4door, fitted with vacuum motor working off the inlet manifold. But a great landing, nearly as good as a RAF trained British pilot.
Oh yeah MBJ My home airport great approach.. WELCOME TO JAMAICA MON!! "I am a great pilot so I'll get off on delta" lol that catch me lol "I'll try to kiss the runway if not I will blame it on lenix " lol
Great video. The perception of being higher than you really are is definitely there. Super neat to see PAPI and the glideslope. You kissed the runway for sure.
Nice video and well flown approach and landing! I enjoyed my time on the 73, it was fun and easy to fly. Every carrier has their own checklist, ours was the same except we also had "spoilers- armed, green light" on the landing check. Safe flying and smooth landings.
It would be an extraordinary fantasy if the Wright Brothers and some of the early pioneers could be on the flight deck to make that approach through the clouds with you. They would be speechless.
First time we went to Jamaica in 2009 we were sitting on the left side. As we're almost landing I'm looking out the window and in my head I'm screaming "WHERE'S THE LAND, WHERE'S THE LAND" . We've been there 10 times now so I got over it.
If i heard those sound as a passenger I would freak out. This is why I rather a seat to the wing down I cant get use to flying. That shit mess up my brains especially when the flight get rough. I cry like a baby.
What a amazing shot!Bye cockpit views!Again love your premiere and everything! One more thing, can you please raise the prise down a little on the Justplanes HD DISCS?
Thank you! Unfortunately we haven;t raised the price of these videos in 20 years+ and the cost of producing them has gone way up so if anything we would have to charge more ;)
This pilots doing their job perfectly! The Caiptain eating chewing gum....(haha) awesome view.... I always enjoy! JP...thank you! Stay healthy and have a nice weekend :-) Greetings Betsy.
Can I just say I am terrified of flying, I had the privilege of flying jumpseat in the cockpit with pilots while I worked for Fedex, these pilots are so talented. I love how they are so dam calm !
I've made that landing about 25 times but never in the front seat. Really enjoyed seeing it from the front seat. Have you ever been over the high mountains you mention? I think you usually make the left turn just off the coast at Lucie. It's an interesting drive over the mountains from there.
I love planes, but don't know much about them. 4:07 Where the captain has his hand on the throttle, what do you call the item that keeps spinning? Is the autopilot controlling it? Also after the captain touch down he lets go of the yolk. Does the first officer take over or does the captain use something else to steer the plane while taxing?
Camron Clarke those are trim wheels. It helps to smooth out the controls for more stable flight. When on autopilot, the computers control it. In manual flight, there are tabs on the yoke that the pilot can press to control it. When on the ground, at certain speeds, the rudder pedals are used to steer the aircraft. Below those speeds, there is a handle, called a tiller, that is used to control the direction of the nose gear.
Nice landing to my real home & land of my birth...I would have luv if the pilot said in a. true Jamaican patios "Yea! mi just touch dun di iron bird" .
What's that wheel between the pilots on the centre console that intermittently spinning forwards and backwards? It's the first time that I have noticed this while watching flying videos.

They had a pop song back in the 70s called "montego bay". Loved it.

When you're making an instrument approach, like an ILS, wouldn't it be nice to see the course-line and glide-slope approaching too? If it's possible!

What is the spinning black and white disc on both sides of the center console?
That was greased and you got off on the high speed taxiway nicely done
What are the flashing, rotating slot machine thingys (5:09) in the center console next to what I think are the throttles?

Just wondering... at what point during the approach did you disarm the auto throttle?
Apologies if this has already been asked, but what are those spinning black discs in the centre console?
