@9:30 - The reason for the high level of auto brightness during the low light conditions is because of the E4 AMOLED Panel used on the OnePlus 11 ... Reducing the brightness manually below often tends to cause some artifacts on the screen like green tint and uneven grey levels. This is a problem with the E4 panel and it was widely persistent with the Xiaomi 11 Ultra , OnePlus 8 series , Nord Series and even the new Nothing Phone 1 which all use the same E4 panel.

I believe that apps regularly get relaunched regardless of the free RAM because OS wants to save battery life and thus RAM management is optimized for that task.

As a long time OP user, there's almost nil battery drain overnight if you turn on the regular power saving mode before sleeping.
The disadvantage is that a lot of bugs appear as soon as you switch it on including frequent hangs (mitigated by locking the screen and then unlocking it again). But you can always turn it off when you're awake and it easily lasts a day on full charge.

I think the advantages of OnePlus are pretty clear over the pixel 7 which is at the same price, how good is the pixel camera over OnePlus 11 is what will make the difference.

  • @afsalc9674

If I am right, the Xiaomi, Vivo, oppo, realme, OnePlus, iqoo, even some midrange samsung also etc, uses mostly 16mp, 32mp sensor for selfies from Sony, samsung, omnivision etc's Quad Bayer technology sensor. Which is that 16mp sensor can give only 4mp best output, 32mp-8mp respectively. And this sensor are all most equal to (size of the sensor capture area) pixel 6, 6a, previous iPhone x,xs etc as used selfie sensor where this brands are optimizing well and HDR also that makes good output.

Original Oxygen OS didn't have a lot of customization options but it definitely was unique and very stable. Original OS had some features that makes it look as if it's not a Chinese product. It felt more global with its software design.

Is the device providing you 6.5 hrs SOT on avg with the AOD on? Can you please reply because I use AOD (scheduled at10am to 11.59pm) on my Nothing Phone, and I also feel like it is somewhat draining battery overnight(about 10 to 14% sometimes). I updated my phone to A13 stable. I use WIFI 95% of the time with single SIM. Generally while I use the phone daily, it gives me more or less 6 to 6.5 hrs of SOT. (that includes 1.5 hrs of gaming i.e Clash of Clans, about 1 hr of voice calling, 1.5 hrs of social media i.e Facebook, WhatsApp, Insta, Google, YT and rest will be some wallpaper and ringtone apps). Is that okay? What do you recon?

the (big) problem with the Oneplus 11 is not the hardware but the software. Not about the current Oxygen/Color OS vs old Oxygen os fiasco. Color os is pretty decent. It's also not just the software bugs that come with their OS over time. Even Samsung / iPhones get bugs. What's bad is fixing those issues on time. Oneplus community forums are filled with users having lots of minor/major issues/bugs which are not being fixed for a pretty long time even after multiple updates. Slow bug fixes and not fixing a lot of bugs, that is their biggest problem
