After reading the Kyoshi novels I wish Korra got to interact with Kyoshi more before she lost her connection to her past lives. She would’ve been a great mentor to Korra
Even if she lost connection to the Past Avatar. Kyoshi still remains within Korra
Well past lives are just raava in the form of the past avatars to me since raava has all their memories so i think the tree of time can restore back raava memories? i guess we will afto wait for a next avatar series to see if it's possible

Yeah, I always wish we saw Korra and Kyoshi interacting more. I think they would have been friends just like Aang and Roku.
@@x97k8 There's actually the potential that Korra could go and find the past Avatars in the spirit world. When Azula shot Aang with lightning, the avatar spirit was damaged and he lost connection with a whole cycle of avatars. While he was in his coma recovering, his spirit was in the spirit world searching for the lost Avatars so he could reconnect with them.
I would like to see it happen in some form. It still wouldn't take away from the danger of dying in the Avatar State since the Avatar's human side would perish and be reborn without Raava. Their identity would be unknown and it would be impossible to find them to restore the cycle. Not to mention one would have to find Raava when and where she reappears.
Also, I think Kuvira is the much modernized version of Chin the Conqueror. They both desired to conquer and unite the Earth Kingdom, and the Avatar dealt with them in their ways
Not to mention she straight-up crushed the Kyoshi Medal of Freedom. Something that holds the legacy of Kyoshi...
Modernized and more successful, since she effectively took over Ba Sing Se thanks to the Red Lotus's actions leaving the city defenses crippled
Kuvira is much more 'likeable'. Before she goes completely off the rails, you can sort of understand her point of view. Ineffective leadership had crippled the Earth Kingdom, and she wasn't going to let that happen ever again if she had anything to say about it.
Avatar Korra and avatar Kyoshi are actually quite similar.
I do think that kuvira was probably a descendant of chin the conqueror

@@blackmetal4546 instead of redoing it, they could possibly add to avatar the last airbender. I will admit, we NEED a kyoshi series but we also missed out on season four because of the movie that was horrible we can all agree lol. I think we need both lol.

@@carmcam1 Both Aang and Korra were already fully realized Avatars by the end of their respective shows, but there are still many things they'd need to learn afterwards.

Although technically Korra was one for all of Season 2 and 3, as she could willingly enter the Avatar State. She dipped a bit when Raava was destroyed and then again at the end of season 3 when her trauma blocked her connection with Raava.

I never thought of this before but I gotta give it to Chin. That blast of air was pushing an entire island but he just stood there and took it like a boss. The ground itself broke before he did.
The novel really capture the live of Kyoshi perfectly. Also, it's nice touch how Rangi said to Kyoshi that proves true in later live as Korra: she wishes Kyoshi got a wise teacher (Tenzin), an army to protect her (Order of White Lotus), and place to live (Republic City)

@@trtr5932 Well he only has that when in the avatar state and because his past lives lend it to him but when we look at power and skill she surpasses both Korra and Aang with ease
@@herbluefire Sorry but when you look at Aang's bending power it doesn't even come close to what Kyoshi and Korra do with their giant rocks. Also when I say Kyoshi is the best I don't count the avatar state because if I did it would he Korra which is confirmed to have the strongest avatar state thanks to harmonic convergence
@@trtr5932 The problem is Aang won't do it. He hates fighting and rather go by his personal beliefs despite Yang Chen telling him he cannot do that. So he won't do well adapting to Kyoshi's style. He'll try to evade her attacks or go in defense fighting tactics.

I hope the next avatar is an openly bisexual male, because, while there are few bisexual female characters in fiction, there are even fewer bisexual male characters. The only one I can think of is Darryl from Crazy Ex Girlfriend.

Yes and no. Yes... because Korra was Aang in her past life, and hence was Tenzing's dad. In this life, she is Tenzing's student and foster daughter. It's amazing how bonds last across lifetimes, but in different forms. I love the concept of reincarnation.

after reading the Kyoshi novels I can now say that she's my favorite avatar. Her backstory makes her actions make so much more sense. She's one of the most human avatars and always understand the value of human life but also justice and the cost of it.

Kyoshi is the best avatar we have ever had, she would beat any avatar. The only thing that Korra was thanked for was that she did the harmonic convergence and this created more of a person with air control, which was what the most beloved avatar Aang wanted.
Korra has done more than that. She has changed the world more than any avatar including Kyoshi in a short amount of time.
