Korra losing all her connections to the past Avatars hurts so much especially Aang cause we got to see him grow from just a kid to a fully realized Avatar The fact that Aang is gone forever hurts
He’s not got forever. His spirit still exists in the spirit world he just has no connection to our world, or Raava. I love how Aang seems to really dislike taking away a person's bending. He understands that being born a bender is a unique gift not many people receive. Even if he only took away bending from bad people, it's still an awful thing to do. Bending for a lot of people shapes who they are. It's always a part of them, and when you take that away you're essentially leaving a shell of who they once were behind. It's almost the same as losing a limb in our world. You're losing an extension of yourself.
Yeah! But to him this is the only way without disrupting life since the monks taught him all life is sacred so this is his way of keeping people from harms way
It's better he took away their bending. If you know your limbs are important to you, you won't use it to cause other people harm or pain! As much as it hurts, Avatar Aang did the right thing and I'm in full support! I'm tired of a world filled with bad people who just doesn't want to change or become better!!

Fun fact: Avatars eyes only glow temporarily when entering the avatar state order their control. Not sure if it’s true here as Aang’s eyes and tattoos glow for a long time when dealing with Amon’s father. Edit: As he traps Amon’s father.
I think Korra losing all the other avatars is a big reason why this series isn’t as beloved as the original. It was done so well but losing that aspect of the series hurt.
Yeah its really heartbreaking and also infuriating as well i blame the writers for this. Hopefully the next Avatar after Korra would reconnect to the past Avatars again
I still hope someday we get a 3rd Avatar series where the next Earthbending Avatar after Korra goes on this journey around the world trying to reconnect with their past lives and it would allow us to see new adventures from the lives of Korra, Aang, Roku, Kyoshi, Kuruk, Yangchen, Szeto, and Salai.
I still wish we could get an Anthology series that focuses on a different avatar for each episode or set of episodes. Not just Korra, Aang or Roku. But a glimpse into all of their key moments and such. As well as glimpses into avatars yet to come, even if the distant future with space travel. Since come on, traveling in space could be a thing. Could also see a future Fire nation trying to pull a Sozin comet takeover, only for the Avatar at that time to literally BEND the comet into pieces so that it could never return again.
It's a shame that they weren't given the opportunity to write the story in full when making Korra (they thought they were only getting two seasons), wish the main plots of season 2&4 could switch places.. But gripes aside, Korra has some seriously powerful moments
Here’s my pitch for the next avatar. He should be an earth bender, and he’s like Joseph joestar. A trickster who always uses unique tricks to either beat his opponents or make it seem he’s not the avatar. Kind of like when Aang left and no one knew where the air bending avatar was, this time a world filled with earthbenders and one avatar would be a smaller scale, but unique story to explore.
1:11 FYI if u don't know who's voicing mama toph is voiced by none other than legendary GOAT Kate Higgins voice of sakura haruno in naurto and sailor Mercury
because aang wasn't trained to be an avatar, he escaped before he could so he had to learn everything by himself unlike Korra. But she knew she was the avatar and accepted it, basically she was trained to be the avatar. that's why she can easily enter the avatar state
Remember Roku gave him that warning about being both powerful and vulnerable in the avatar state, how being killed in the avatar state would be fatal to the existence of the avatar. So maybe he was more particular about it (since people were on a manhunt for him all the time and azula killed him with lighting while he was in the Avatar state). Also Aang was only 12 in ATLA. The entire series timeline happens within less than a year. The series ends with him being a fully realized avatar so we don't get to really see "Avatar Aang."

@expiredmilk1930 last scene is from season 2 bud.
5:49 this always gives me goosebumps
Forget the fiction, but just think about how cool it is to build a city with your childhood friends and establish order and peace.
Tenzen: I am no spiritual leader
Aang: hello, 'No Spiritual leader, I'm dad.
Aang was in lock in mode🗿
5:50 You ain't my barber you ain't my- you ain't my barber
This Aang guy is cool. He should get his own show
Do people just copy top comments holy.
he has his own show. its called Boruto
@@bobowon5450 😂😂😂
its called two piece, go check it out 🔥🔥💀
Real dude I would love to see his story in a prequel series.
Aang look straight up Abraham Lincoln
The fact taht Toph still calls Aang twinkle toes 😭💀
I swear why we couldn’t just get a show where they was all adults instead of seeing flashbacks of a older Ang and the rest of the group
What's the point?, Their story is complete, add some more will only ruined it
Now Aang, Roku, Kyoshi are all gone, forever. Congratulations Korra, you failed.
They aren't gone, they live in korra she just can't communicate with them.
Man. I really see The Boondocks animation style in this. It was always trippy to watch both shows and think of the other.
Seeing grown up aang feels illegal
The first one gives me chills. I do wish she relearned the elements instead. But I guess i understand they didn't have enough episodes to make that work... :/
Fun fact: Aang in this series is voiced by D. B. Sweeney, who also voiced Aladar in Dinosaur and Sitka in Brother Bear.
Only og’s remember Brother Bear!
Dinosaur is best!
Fun fact: Avatars eyes only glow temporarily when entering the avatar state order their control. Not sure if it’s true here as Aang’s eyes and tattoos glow for a long time when dealing with Amon’s father.
Edit: As he traps Amon’s father.
Thats how taking a bending works.
*coughs the wrong way
Aang: Im taking away your bending
Me too bro me too
And maybe a 4th series after that showing a firebending avatar on a journey as well.
Unfortunately the makers of the show have said that there will be no 3rd season of avatar .I still cry till this day.
No, the past Avatars are gone forever.
OR we could stop obsessing over the past lives, accept that they're gone and move on.
Could also see a future Fire nation trying to pull a Sozin comet takeover, only for the Avatar at that time to literally BEND the comet into pieces so that it could never return again.
bro ngl korra can not even go into avatar form while the guy killing the light spirit is crazy
1:17
Toph's forever a savage 😎
It's a shame that they weren't given the opportunity to write the story in full when making Korra (they thought they were only getting two seasons), wish the main plots of season 2&4 could switch places.. But gripes aside, Korra has some seriously powerful moments
Same, season 2s finale should’ve been the series finale
5:47 I love this part, that instant change of power
Here’s my pitch for the next avatar. He should be an earth bender, and he’s like Joseph joestar. A trickster who always uses unique tricks to either beat his opponents or make it seem he’s not the avatar.
Kind of like when Aang left and no one knew where the air bending avatar was, this time a world filled with earthbenders and one avatar would be a smaller scale, but unique story to explore.
0:26 this scene makes me want to know about all the past avatars
Aang really had to Lock in
5:48 bro remembered he was him
1:11 FYI if u don't know who's voicing mama toph is voiced by none other than legendary GOAT Kate Higgins voice of sakura haruno in naurto and sailor Mercury
“When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change.
- Twinkle Toes
Aang the greatest avatar ever
*When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change - Aang, **0:18** - **0:22*
I'm confused, how is Korra able to go into the Avatar state better than Aang did?
It's called sheer willpower, something Aang did not excel at.
because aang wasn't trained to be an avatar, he escaped before he could so he had to learn everything by himself unlike Korra. But she knew she was the avatar and accepted it, basically she was trained to be the avatar. that's why she can easily enter the avatar state
Korra was being trainedvsince she was 4. Aang had to do it on his own and in a few months.
Aang had a year of training as an avatar to defeat the fire lord ,he just knew when he was 12 ,korra knew her whole life
Remember Roku gave him that warning about being both powerful and vulnerable in the avatar state, how being killed in the avatar state would be fatal to the existence of the avatar.
Ohhh Aang we want You back.❤
Funny how the best part of Korra, was Aang appearances.
You're very funny. Let me guess. It's because you're sexist, right?
Debatable
It wasn't
Some of the best.
👀👀💔😢😮
It was nice seeing them. Aang not being perfect has my win since it works.
Avatar franchise is the best animation I've watched. Im not a big of anime, but this one takes the flowers, imo.
I LOVE WHEN THE AVATAR SPIRIT HAPPENS
Aang really hit Yakone with that unspeakable rizz at 5:50.
"when we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change" - tyler durden
When We Hit Our Lowest Point We Are Open To The Greatest Change that line helped me alot I have been going through hard times for all of my life and I just want to be a normal kid but I feel like every thing is taken away from me
The older VAs do great job of copying the original VAs speech patterns.
By the way Kora was reacting to Aang, she SOUNDS like she respects him,and Kind of likes him....Her Voice is gentle, and has a smile to it...That shows SHE has a positive FEELING,and NOT a small amount of respect Towards Aang...Does anyone concur, and think I`m right?
5:48 "lock in"
Tenzin is an amazing father and person
We need to see more of Team avatar/Team Aang
5:47
When you're tweaking mid game but then you finally got your main item so now you gotta lock in
Aaaahhhhhhhhhh aang 😍🥰😍🥰💙💙💙💙💛💛💛💛💛🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🤍 love you aang, you are the best avatar in my eyes
