that's why Zaheer was running the entire fight, he was getting him away from the other 2 so they could pick off Bumi and Kya and help jump him.
Bro Zaheer has no teacher to teach him airbending yet he was this skilled at air bend. You have to realize that Tenzin was taught by Aang, who was the greatest Airbender AT THE TIME.

I think a big part of season 3 is that the new avatars can't be here to help the characters in the new age. That scene with Tenzin overlooking the bay doesn't hit as hard if we know Aang can talk to him from the spirit world still.

@endleess226 Aang severed his connection to previous avatars once in the comics because he had a big clash of ideals with Rooku, later he recovered by solving their own conflict. they could pull a similar plot.
I love the airbending stuff in legend of korra, especially with the Aang and katara family.
Cuz we didn't see much of Airbending stuff from atla mostly aang doing it

yeah just thinking how Aang missed all his fellow airbenders who were killed ,to see his own grandchildren embrace the air bending culture and become proper air benders, wished he had stayed alive atleast long enough to see one of his grandchildren succeed, it would have meant the world (both human and spirit) to him

I think that Zaheer is the best avatar villain. An air bending villain is such a novel concept, and it shows that some people can use the ideals of the air nation in different ways, and I love it And I think his ability to fly and be very sufficient in it is a perfect example. like when he broke his girlfriend out of prison but still has the ability to fly is such a Suttle way of how he sees her and his other comrades. (I have sooooo much more to say about this later)

I genuinely wished the Red Lotus were the main villains from the start and lasted at least 3 Books (I'd be okay with 4 being the aftermath of their defeat). They were legit funnier, more interesting, more intimidating, and much wiser than most (if not all) of the foes the Avatar has faced before.

It buffles me of there are lot of red lotus, but when rescuing Korra, no white lotus had arrived for back up. Only Su yin's soldier. They could have atleast match up the red lotus.

I admit, I enjoyed seeing 2 Airbending masters fight.
Tenzin is the only arbending master i consider on their fight. Zaheer is not a master

They're both masters, Zaheer flying isn't a fluke and he proved that he is a master multiple times.
It's just Tenzin is way experienced than him and better at the art.

Hot take here, but this show would've been better if it wasn't an avatar show. I like the family stuff way better than anything with Korra, aside from the fact that Bumi could've been better written. A spinoff about the air nomads being reborn with Tenzin front and center and Korra and her friends just being a background presence could've been fun to watch
I know I'm late but I actually believe Zaheer was somewhat equal to Tenzin in terms of airbending fighting power so he didn't want to lead it to a stalemate and that's why he led Tenzin to his comrades.

They went “Air Nomads” to an “Air Nation”, they are becoming more centralized like the Fire Nation or Earth Kingdom. While the Earth Kingdom is becoming a republic removing the mornarchy and becoming more decentralized by giving power back to the people through Prince Wu.

I think aang could’ve beaten the red lotus
I don't think so. He fought Aaang Ozai and never defeated him. Only in the last episode was he able to obtain the knowledge of all avatars and defeat Ozai in the avatar state. Also, Azula nearly killed Aang. He was brought back to life thanks to Katara. I think Except for Kyoshi, no avatar is stronger than the best master benders. For example, Aang or Korra can not beat Toph.
@@ph-gk3sh I gotta agree with you. It's the hard truth but Korra is stronger than Aang. The villains were just too strong for Korra, that's why she seemed weak.
