  • I have a boat load of vintage chisels, mostly with busted handles, so I put them back into service, because I have a boatload of clients with vintage windows, some of which date back to 1727, and they also need restoring.... that's why I've not been uploading much to RUclips - because well I'm not a RUclips, or a content creator.... I'm a restorer of old timber windows and doors, and Im spending time doing that, rather than uploading videos.
I don't really care if you subscribe or not, and honestly, i know you dont either. I do hope though that you enjoy the video, or better see, learn something are inspired, or maybe even get why I might take something destined for the landfill, and restore it to use in the restoration of something else.
I closed my website, decided that facebook was no longer enjoyable. We all know twitter is a dumpster fire, so I mainly use
    Instagram - / brainfizzuk
if you want to see more daily content, then thats the place to go.

New tools are nice, but I really like to see old tools being cleaned up and used.

You and me both…. Not only is it rather poetic restoring the tools used in restoration work, but also they’re much more pleasant to use than modern chisels too!

Great to see the tools being restored, and fantastic to see you recycling wool from the salon. Thanks so much for posting!

Hey bud, nice job. I really need to sort out my Grandads chisels, too. It would be great to use them, maybe even clean up his old wooden tool box to.

Old chisels are so much nicer to work with, and these London pattern handles make them much more tactile to work too!

Thank you kindly, honestly they’re by far my favourite, so much nicer than the factory ones these days!
And even the round ones used for lower costs.
      Highly recommended!!

What species lumber do you use for your handles?

This one’s a metabo. It’s pretty good. I also own the dewalt.
They’re pretty much a muchness these days.
Just stay away from the orange Triton ones - they’re garbage, and will break in less than 12 months.
