I started watching your tutorials on Sketchup years ago and now I watch your Blender tutorials. You are to the point and explain things in a way I can understand. Very thorough. And I love Bonnie, both the model and the real Bonnie in the photograph. I appreciate what you do.
Thanks for the video it just saved my sanity. I could not figure out why when I tried to bridge two objects nothing happened. When I duplicated an object while in Edit mode the Bridge tool worked. However, whenever I duplicated an object in Object Mode and then went into Edit Mode with both objects selected, the Bridge tool did not work. This video made me realize that the most important thing for this tool is that the objects to be bridged must be joined!!!
Hello, I have same issue. When I create 4 circle independantly and after select them all and edit , I can access all of them but when using bridge edge loop it does not work. It work only if I create this cercle in the same object.
I know its been said, but I never knew this tool was in blender, and ive used blender for a lot of years, just shows how you can get tied up using the same routines, Thanks so much, yout vids are great, dofo a sub here and a thumbs up......
I kinda wish you had created the circles and mentioned the Ctrl+J thing at the very beginning of the video. This really doesn't work without that step. I was going nuts trying to figure out how you made the circles into a single object until I opened the description and read that step. I'm brand new to Blender, so I thought maybe that I was supposed to use bezier circles instead of mesh circles, but those didn't work either. I realized after watching the rest of the video that you covered Joining later. But I tend to pause your videos as I learn, so I never got to that part. I was stuck for quite awhile trying to make the opening circles work. I almost quit the tutorial in frustration until I thought to look in the description. I find your videos are the most helpful. Most "beginner" tutorials seriously suck because the instructors are great technicians but very poor teachers. They assume a base level of knowledge about Blender where there may not actually be one for a beginner. Your videos are excellent, but be careful. You're an expert. What's a small step for you may be a dealbreaker for noobs who won't just "figure it out". I'm a Photoshop/Illustrator instructor, so I'm not unschooled. I'm just really new to 3D. This is a totally different design methodology that literally requires a dimensional shift in how one thinks about space and asset creation. I'm having to break a lot of old habits to learn new ones. I love your courses, but sometimes I feel like I'm hanging on for dear life just to follow you, because I missed a small step like this one.
Help!! Everytime i use bridge edge loop, the loop go to wrong side just like if my face were twisted. The problem is it not, e checked the normals! What can i do
Thanks, I’ve been trying to create a large bevel between a pipe and a cylinder and couldn’t get the right shape without a lot of tedious tweaking of the geo. This might work.
thank you!... i've too often had to search youtube to discover I hadn't control J two objects before swearing at my monitor/errors on blender when failing to bridge edge loops...
Sorry for the repeat question - The "join" shapes works -- but is there another way to create a shape with a "curve" and then loft/bridge it with joining the shapes
Idk if im the only one having this problem but when I create a curve, when I got to edit mode It's .... limited I dont know how else to describe it, and it won't give me the option to bridge
Thanks this was partially helpful. You missed explaining that there is only one object that you presumable created from joining several circle objects. This is important as other wise the bridge function will not work.
Hi everyone! Let me know if you have any questions about this tool in the comments below! :)
MIND=BLOWN. Every time I see something that makes you create shapes in 2 seconds, I'm in AWE of the power of Blender.

I like how you go into one tool at a time and going in depth, so it's not overwhelming.
Step by step one at a time :)

it's explained in video at 3.12. CTRL+J to join them all before appliyng bridge edge loop...
i wish i could tap the thumbs up twice. such a good tutorial, you've saved me so much time! thanks
Sensational!
The ideal is to make a personalized manual of these functions to
remember them easily, as there are many.
That's also why I'm trying to bookmark all the videos - that way each tool and function is easily accessible :)
@@TheCGEssentials Good idea!

Hi, Great tutorials - I'm unable to get the "circles" to bridge/loft? Can you help?

Make sure all the shapes are joined. Then apply bridge edge loop tool. Hopefully it should work.
very useful thanks very muchh
You are welcome!
This guy makes me enjoying blender, but how did you make the circular array of circles? ^__^
I can't remember, but I might have done something similar in this video - ruclips.net/video/g3DFxH0N7U0/видео.html
as of today the lofting isn't happening and i can't understand why.

Thanks this was partially helpful. You missed explaining that there is only one object that you presumable created from joining several circle objects. This is important as other wise the bridge function will not work.
I don't understand - why would it create more than one object?
Thanks ao much!!
Welcome!
Holy f- you´re genial , thanks a ton!
Now they just need to make it as a modifier!
thank u
Blende 3.0 not working, doing nothing ...
That's like the "make a hull" software for yacht designing.
Had to join them first Ctrl J
my bridge edge loops is not working dammit
This has too many settings many unpredictable for it to be destructive. Nothing can beat a dedicated loft modifier like other software have
its just ctrl J ....man thank you....
I just wonder why is there a dog always?
HUHHHHWWWWHATS UP guysssss
HHHHWhats up guys!!!

Hi
Buy, I already know about this
Do I need to run all tutorial ideas by you before creating a video to make sure you DON'T know about it?
thx!
